A Little Summer Romance
We just attended Val and Tory's elegant garden wedding...and it reminded me of the delicate Love Script die from the Valentine Collection. It's perfect with the Delphinium and Stems dies - and a backdrop of gold-embossed Rings and Puddles. Jean Okimoto here - let's get started!
- Love Script 98639
- Rings and Puddles 88506
- Delphinium 88571
- Stems 88570
- Parchment Cardstock (5.5" square card)
Kaleidacolor, Radiant Neons and Versamark inkpads are from Imagine Crafts.
Spritz watercolor paper lightly with water. Ink a 4" soft rubber brayer with Caribbean Sea Kaleidacolor, then spritz the brayer. Roll the inks onto the damp paper and let the colors blend for a few minutes. Heat-set the inks.
Stencil Delphinium with Radiant Neons Electric Purple and emboss it with Iridescent Powder. Stencil Stems with Memento Luxe Olive Grove and heat-set it. The stems are much shorter than they are on the stencil, but I wanted to capture the effect of the flowers against the watercolored background. Mask off some of the solid spots, then stencil Rings and Puddles with Versamark. Emboss it with detail gold powder.
Attach a 1/2" wide strip of Scor-tape horizontally down the center of gold mirror cardstock and diecut Love Script. Assemble the card and add iridescent lavender sequins.
