Happy Birthday
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_1552

Hello everyone!  Today I have a fun Birthday card for you using more new products from the 2022 Spring release.

I began by die cutting one of the Nested Globes from white cardstock and stenciling on top of it with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink.  Next, I lightly inked around the edge of the die cut with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink.  I also used Hickory Smoke ink and a blending brush to add ink to a White Woodgrain cardstock panel.  This brings out the texture in the cardstock.  I glued my globe die cut to the paper and used foam tape to adhere it to a white card base.

I die cut the large leaves from the Exquisite Leaf Set using white cardstock and inked them with Distress Oxide Inks.  I glued the leaves in place over the globe die cut and spattered the card with white and gray inks.

Next, I die cut the shadow from the Happy Birthday Posh Script die from Vellum and the words from gray cardstock.  I glued the words to the vellum, which I adhered to the card.

To finish the card, I added some Clear Fairy Drops and that's it!

Friends Become Family
by Angie Cimbalo

Close use

Hello and welcome! It's Angie here today with this light and pretty card for a dear friend.

Here's a close up look of my card:

Close use

Here are the steps to make this card:

1) Emboss A2 panel of watercolor card stock with the "Blooming Sweet Pea" 3D embossing folder

2) Use one of the smaller "Stitched Rectangle Layers" dies and cut out of the center of the embossed panel

3) Add "Rose Gold Metallic Gilding Paste" from Cosmic Shimmer to the raised areas of the small embossed white rectangle

4) Cut a little larger rectangle with same die set from "White Woodgrain Card Stock", then swiped it also with the same rose gold paste.

5) Stamp the sentiment from "Friends and Family" stamp set in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and heat emboss in clear on a piece of vellum.

6) Add the vellum to some double sided adhesive, then trim the edges and add to the small rectangle (You can see the rose gold enhanced embossing through and behind the vellum."

7) Add the vellum + embossed rectangle to the woodgrain rectangle and then to the main large A2 white embossed card front panel.

8) Cut the "Glade Butterfly" die from black card stock and added to top left side of card

9) Add pink "Pastel Fairy Jewels" to the butterfly middle and in the corners of vellum

Here's another look at my card: Close use

I really like how you can see the light rose gold raised areas of the dry embossing peeking through the vellum heat embossed sentiment. Even though sentiment on this card is the focal point, it's nice to see the embossed patterned on the white background continue through to behind the vellum.

Here's one last look:

The sentiments in this stamp set "Family and Friends" are so sweet and there are a lot of them in the set.
I hope you enjoyed my card for today, I really had fun creating it.

Happy Birthday
by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a elegant birthday card using products from the new Spring 2022 release. Here's another look:

2

As you can see it mostly white, vellum and with a little bit of gold. The gold and white leaves are both cut from the new mirror card stock release pack called "Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad." Below you can see the 3 sets of leaves, white, gold and vellum all layered together on both sides.

2

The background was made by cutting two of the "Hex Half Pinpoint" die cuts from watercolor card stock. Once they were cut, I temporary added them to a piece of card stock so I could dry emboss them with the "Blooming Sweet Pea" 3D embossing folder. Once, embossed I removed the card stock and added both "Hex Half" pieces to an A2 size piece of vellum Next cut 2 more "Hex Half's"to for the back of the card front to give it a clean look.

I cut a piece of card stock 5.5" by 4.75" and scored the 4.75" side by 1/2 inch then folded it. This was going to be the back of the card, so I hid the folded 1/2" behind the right side "Hex Half Pinpoint" on the back of the front of the card. I glued this folded piece down (which is the card back) to the vellum before I added the right side. This way I had an A2 size card with the center hexagon made of see through vellum.

The "Happy Birthday Posh Script" die was cut from the same gold and white mirror papers and layered. To finish the card I added gold Christmas Fairy Jewels to the vellum in the center.

Super close don't need

Miss You with Exquisite Leaf Frame
by Angie Cimbalo

Feb 20th MB leafy cover

Hello and welcome! It's Angie here today with these newly released "Exquisite Leaf Frame" and "Miss You Posh Script" dies.  The new 2022 Spring Release is full of gorgeous dies, papers, and stamps!

Here's a closer look at my card for today:

Feb 20th MB close

For the background you can see that I used a 3D embossing folder on the watercolor card stock. I love using thick watercolor card stock with 3D embossing folders because you get such a deep and lovely impression. The word die also has a shadow die with it, but I decided not to use it as I wanted a thin black sentiment in the center and didn't want to draw any attention away from the lovely frame die.

Here's another look:

Feb 20th 2

The frame die was cut twice, once from alcohol inked Yupo paper and a second time from watercolor card stock that was smooshed with the same colors of ink and popped on top with very thin foam tape.

You can see the bottom layer of the leaf frame has more shine to it as it is the Yupo paper with alcohol inks. The top layer is more matte looking and it was turned around so that the leaf layers did not match up. I wanted a layered leaf look, so I decided to not line them up but instead reverse the top layer. I think it gives a really nice look to the card and especially like the contrast of shiny versus matte for the leaves.

Lastly I added some gems from Memory Box around the card front.

Here's one last look:

The flowers are heat embossed on vellum in a rose gold embossing powder and inserted into the die cut opening in the plaid paper.  The sentiment is from the "Reverse Big & Little Words" stamp set.

3D Poinsettia Embossing on Vellum
by Angie Cimbalo

Close WM

Hello and welcome! I have a Christmas card for you today using a vellum dry embossed poinsettia from Memory Box. I used the 3D Magnificent Poinsettia embossing folder on a piece of vellum and then rubbed Fire Brick Distress Ink directly onto the embossed vellum. After drying it with my heat tool, I fussy cut it out and adhered it to a rectangle die.

Close WM

I matted the white rectangle on red card stock and then onto a white card base. The sentiment is from Memory Box Signature Greetings, stamped and heat embossed in white and the die cut with the coordinating die. Here's one last look at my card:

I hope you like my card for today. I really love how the vellum poinsettia turned out.
