Spring Birthday Greetings by Jean Okimoto

Celebrate a spring birthday with floral greetings in a mix of purple, lavender, violet and gray.  Rounded corners echo the Fringed Scalloped Frame and poufy Tender Peony Bud.  Hi, Jean here with another design from our 2025 Peony Collection.

Cut Tender Peony Bud from the violet Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad 6x6 and dark gray cardstock.  Cut the second-smallest Fringed Scalloped Frame from the Lavender Bloom Paper Pack 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock.  

Cut a 5" x 3/4" strip of the violet and gold Glimmering Gladiola leaf print.  Trim it with a corner rounding punch.

 

Cut an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of white cardstock.  Score it at 2-1/2" and 6-3/4" to create a gatefold A2 card.  Round the corners.  Attach the diecuts - let 3 of the leaf tips extend over the cut edge.  Add a Happy Birthday Foil Greetings White Circle Tab.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Offset and extend the  new Refined Peony Bloom over a diecut circle from the Nutmeg Forest 6x6.  Add 3 matching circles and the Hello Marker Script - and it's ready to go!  Hi, Jean here with a modified A6 card with a bold blossom focal point from our 2025 Peony collection.

Cut Refined Peony Bloom from a dark pink 6x6 in the Blush collection.  Cut the stamens from a gold Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Assemble the blossom - it's easier to visualize and arrange the stamen diecuts if you attach them behind the top petals instead of over the background petals.

Cut the pink and gold floral/berry Nutmeg Forest print with the 3-1/4" diameter Circle Basics die.  Cut 3  leafy sections of the print with the 3/4" diameter Circle Basics die.

Attach ScorTape to the pink 6x6 and diecut  the background of the Hello Marker Script.  Cut the detailed top layer from natural cardstock.  Press the top layer firmly onto the adhesive-covered background.  Cover the remaining exposed adhesive with detail clear embossing powder. Tap off the excess.  Heat-emboss it to attach the top layer.

Cut a 4-1/2" x 11" piece of natural cardstock.  Score it at 6".  Attach the diecuts - use foam tape for the greeting.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Create a bud-and-bloom thank you with the new Gentle Peony Bloom and Peony Bud Duo from our 2025 Peony Collection.  A simple Thank You Foil Greetings White Tab completes the design.  Hi, Jean here with one of my favorite color combos - mixed pinks, gray and gold on a crisp white card.

Cut Gentle Peony Bloom and the smaller bud from the Peony Bud Duo set from the shimmery pink Delicate Pastels Mirror Pad 6x6.  Cut the stamens from a yellow Graceful Garden Glitter Pad 6x6. 

Cut the leaves, stems and sepals from dark gray cardstock.

Cut the leafy pink and gold Glimmering Gladiola  6x6 with the 7/8" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Cut dark pink cardstock with a  3-3/4" portion of the 1-3/8" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die to create a solid contrasting layer.  

Assemble the blossom and bud.  Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-1/2" x 6-1/4") - use foam dots behind the tops of the center petals of blossom.

Attach a Thank You Foil Greetings White Tab and gold Autumn Fairy Jewels.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Need a birthday card?  Add a Happy Birthday Foil Greetings White Tab instead and you're ready to party!   The greeting tabs are available in white + gold or black + gold  and a variety of typefaces.  There's a style for everyone.

Celebrate a special birthday with the new Graceful Peony Blossom in a mix of pale pinks and gold.  Hi, Happy Friday - Jean here ending my blog month with another design from our 2025 Peony release.

 

Cut Graceful Peony Blossom from pale pink cardstock.  Lightly ink the diecuts with spun sugar Distress Oxide.  Cut two sets of the stamens from a yellow Graceful Garden Glitter Pad 6x6 - we're using 3 sets here.  Assemble the blossom

Cut the pale pink and gold Nutmeg Forest  6x6 with the die from the Vintage Tray 3D Embossing Folder and Die Set - we're using the 2 largest + the smallest piece here.  

Attach the diecuts to a slightly darker pink A6 card (4-1/2" x 6-1/4").  Add a Happy Birthday Foil Greetings White Circle Tab.  It's a versatile collection of 36 instant greetings - 4 each of 9 designs - perfect for when you need to complete a quick card!

Add clear Fairy Drops to highlight the pale pink background.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Pink Peony Thank You by Jean Okimoto

Say thanks with the fresh new Delightful Peony Blossom layered over  a delicate collage of Cherish Scalloped Frames.  The bold blossom stands out against the tiny heart borders.  Hi, Jean here with a spring design from our 2025 Peony release.

Cut Delightful Peony Blossom petals from pink cardstock.  Cut the stamens from Black Glossy Paper (cardstock).  Cut a 1" square scrap of pink cardstock to create a base upon which to assemble the blossom. Attach the 6 individual petals to the base, then add the other layers and stamens.

Cut the three smallest Cherish Scalloped Frames from lighter pink cardstock.

Attach the diecuts to a top-folded textured gray A2 card - use foam dots for the top 2 layers of the blossom.  Attach a Black Thank You Foil Greeting Tab.  Add Fairy Drops.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The tiny heart offcuts from the Cherish Scalloped Frames are great for shaker cards and confetti too.  Cut them from our Glitter Pads or Mirror Cardstock for sparkly or shimmery accents.

Spring Garden Greetings by Jean Okimoto

Spring has finally arrived - leaves and buds are appearing and days are getting longer.  Give the garden a headstart with the new Crocosmia Stems from our latest release.  Hi, Jean here with an Easter design for the new season.

Cut the blossoms and buds from the Crocosmia Stems set - and an extra blossom - from a Raspberry Sorbet Paper Pack sheet.   Cut the centers from the green Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad 6x6.  Cut the leaves from a medium-green Greenery 6x6.

Cut the green plaid - from the Fuchsia Plaid 6x6 - with the largest die from the Half a Dozen Eggs set.  Cut a light green 6x6 from the Greenery 6x6 with the second-largest egg die.

Attach ScorTape to the light green Greenery 6x6 and cut it - tape-side-up - with the background die from the Cheery Happy Easter set.  Cut the detailed top layer of the greeting from the  medium-green 6x6.  Save the outline diecut for another project - and carefully attach the words to the adhesive-covered background.  Cover it with detail clear embossing powder, tap off the excess and heat-emboss it.  It'll be glossy and securely adhered.

Cut the light green 6x6 with the largest Wrapped Stitch Rectangles die and attach it to a top-folded white A2 card.  

Attach the diecuts - use foam tape for the greeting.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Easter Wishes…2 Buds and a Blossom by Jean Okimoto

Welcome spring and celebrate Easter with designs from the 2025 Peony release.  The Peony Bud Trio becomes a duo and gains a blossom.  Hi, Jean here with a versatile design to create in your favorite colors.

Cut Peony Bud Trio (except the 3 buds) from a dark green 6x6 in the Greenery collection.  Cut Gentle Peony Bloom and the Peony Bud Trio buds from pink cardstock.  The buds are specially-designed with tiny slotted sections.  Tuck the corner of a Post-It note into the slot to mask the top section of each bud and ink just the lower portion of the buds with Brilliance Pearlescent Thyme.  

Cut the peony stamens from the chartreuse Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Cut a 3/4" square of pink cardstock to use as a base upon which to attach the 5 peony petals and the 3-petal piece.  Add the remaining pieces.  

Cut the 2-3/4" wide Wrapped Stitch Rectangle from heavy white cardstock  (or 2 layers of medium-weight cardstock  glued together) for extra background dimension.

Attach Scor-tape to the topside of dark green cardstock and cut the background of the Cheery Happy Easter.  Cut the detailed portion of the greeting from white cardstock.  Attach the white greeting to the green background. Sprinkle it with detail clear powder and heat-emboss it.  

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-1/2" x  6-1/4 in .  Punch 1/4" accent circles from the lime green Graceful Garden Glitter Pad sheet.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Butterfly Collection by Jean Okimoto

 

Create a collection of colorful butterflies from the 2025 Peony release and display them on an embossed woodgrain background.  Hi, Jean here with a vellum butterfly fluttering  over a watercolored background from the stash.

Prep mid-weight white vellum with the embossing powder tool.  Stamp the beautiful bold butterfly  from the new Hello Butterfly Clear Stamp and Die Set - with Warm Breeze VersaFine Clair.  Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.  Cut the cooled image with the coordinating die from the set.

Cut a watercolored/inkblended background with the butterfly die.  Adhere the vellum butterfly with just a narrow strip of doublestick tape attached to the center.

Cut the soft peach, blue and green Rainbow Reflections 6x6's with the new Ethereal Butterflies die.  Attach Scor-tape behind black cardstock and cut the butterfly centers.  

Cut heavy white cardstock with die from the Vintage Tray 3D Embossing Folder and Die Set.  Spritz the 2 larger rectangles and the smaller "almost-square" with a light mist of water.  Place them in the embossing folder and pressure-emboss them using the plate(s) required for your machine.

Stamp the greeting - also from the Hello Butterfly set - on the smallest diecut with Warm Breeze.  Heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.

Attach the diecuts to a light turquoise A6 card (4-1/2" x 6-1/4" - use foam tape for the wing tips of the 4 larger butterflies.    Attach turquoise Christmas Fairy Dewdrops.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Hidden Heart Blossom by Jean Okimoto

Frame the new Gentle Peony Bloom with 2 of the new Cherish Hearts and create an all-occasion card for your stash of ready-to-go greetings.  Hi, Jean here with an offset hidden-heart design for you today.

 

Cut Gentle Peony Bloom from the violet and yellow-green Rainbow Reflections 6x6's. Follow the floral layering guide on the reverse side of the envelope - or create your own unique blossom.  Assemble the blossom - use narrow foam tape strips along the outer edges of the center-top layers.  Cut the leaves from dark gray cardstock.

Cut the largest Cherish Heart from  Lavender Bloom cardstock.  Cut it with the middle-sized Cherish Heart.  Tuck and attach the left edge of the smaller heart behind the larger heart.  The open space on the right side divides the lavender and reveals the contrasting background.

Cut a 1-5/8" x 4-3/8" strip of ink-blended watercolor paper.  Spray it lightly with Imagine's Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz.  Heat-set the ink.

Attach everything to a top-folded Fresh Aqua A2 card.  Attach turquoise Christmas Fairy Dewdrops.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The new Elegant Peony Blossom is great for any occasion - celebrations, thank-yous, friendship cards and more.  Here's a layered, textured design that works in any color combination - just add a greeting and it's ready to go!  Hi, Jean here with a new design from our 2025 Peony Collection.

 

Cuit Elegant Peony Blossom from Cherry Red Cardstock.  Cut the 3 stamen sections from Black Glossy Paper (cardstock).  Assemble the blossom.

Cut the curved overlay section from the Black Glossy Paper too and attach it - upside-down - at the bottom of the blossom.  It's hard to see on the completed card pictures, but adds a faux-sepal finishing touch.

Pressure-emboss Black Glossy Paper with the Bubble Dots Plate using the rubber embossing mat and other plate(s) required for your machine.  Cut a 3/4" x 4-1/4" strip.

Cut a 3/4" x 3-1/2" strip of Black Glossy Paper.  Cut a 3/4" x 5-1/4" strip of black cardstock.  Layer the strips to create a background.

Cut the small dragonfly from the Azure Dragonflies set from the light gold Majestic Hues Glitter Pad 6x6.

 

Attach the strips and diecuts to a light Kraft A6 card (4-1/2" x 6-1/4").  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
