A Frame House
by Theary Chea

Hello and welcome back! It's Theary here on the blog today. For today's project, I’m excited to share a card I created using the adorable A Frame House dies.

MB Cabin1

I drew inspiration from the colors and patterns in the Nutmeg Forest Paperpad and the Nutmeg Plaid Paperpad. I love how much everything coordinated so well together.

I started by die-cutting the A Frame House and Mysterious Mushrooms from the paperpads. I added a few neutral color cardstock to help balance out the colors.

MB Cabin2

To create the background, I layered a few different cardstocks to help with texture and dimension. The bottom layer is a sheet from the Nutmeg Plaid trimmed to 4.25 inches by 5.50 inches. The Second layer is a gold sheet of vellum trimmed to 3.50 inches by 5.50 inches, and the third sheet is our Woodgrain Cream Cardstock trimmed down to 3.25 inches by 5.50 inches.

MB Cabin1

I adhered the Slender Pine Trees onto the card panel first with liquid adhesive. Then using foam squares I popped the A Frame House and Mysterious Mushrooms.

I also adhered a White Gold Tab sentiment.

And, That's it! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and have some time to play around in your craft space.

Until next time!

Cordial Snowman
by Theary Chea

Hello! It's Theary back on the blog again. Today, I share a winter-themed card using the adorable Cordoal Snowman 94813 dies.

MB snowman 1

For the snowman's body, i used the Cordial Snowman 94813 and ran that through my die-cutting machine out of white card stock. To add some interest, I used the scarf and hat portion of the die and died cut out of patterned paper from Yuletide Plaid PP1031. I adhered everything together using liquid adhesive.

I added some color to the snowman using alcohol markers.

MB snowman 2

The background panel was created using Kraft-colored cardstock and the new Frosted Trees 3D Embossing Folder. After making the impression with the embossing folder, I lightly ran my white ink pad over the raised areas.

Using scrap pieces of white cardstock, i trimmed it down to create a snow slope and popped it up with foam squares to the bottom of the background panel.

I then added trees from Slender Pine Trees 94796 that I cut out of Yuletide Plaid PP1031 and leafy 6x6 pack SP1011. I adhered to the embossed background.

MB snowman 1

I popped the adorable snowman onto the snow slopes and added cute presents from Pretty Presents 94761 that I cut out of pattern paper

I then added a sentiment from Holiday Wishes CL5286 that I heat embossed onto black cardstock with white embossing powder. I used the coordinating dies to cut that out before I popped it onto my card front.

To finish off the card, I attached it to a top folding card base.

And that is it! I hope you found some inspiration and get crafty! Until next time!

Festive Santa
by Theary Chea

Hello! It's Theary here, back on the blog for Memory Box. I can't believe it's already August. Although I will miss the summer months, I am super excited about the upcoming fall and winter seasons.

I am sharing a Christmas-inspired card using fantastic products from The Yuletide Collection.

MB Festive Santa 1

The Layered Festive Santa 94823 has so many details. I used the die and ran that through my die-cutting machine on red and white cardstock. To add extra details to each layer, I used markers, ink pads, a blending brush, and a white gel pen to build dimension with shading and highlights. I also added the adorable Pretty Presents 94761 into Santa's bag.

MB Layered Festive Santa 2

I created the background using Narrow Woodgrain Planks 94823 and die-cut from a few pattern papers from Yuletide Plaid PP1031. I added adhesive to the back and adhered it to scratch paper that I trimmed to 5.25 inches by 4 inches.

MB Layered Festive Santa 3

I adhered the pattern-planked background to a kraft-colored cardstock and popped on sweet Santa on top with a sentiment from Holiday Wishes CL5286. And, finally I adhered it to a top folding cardbase.

I hope you found some inspiration and get crafty in your craft space! Until next time!

Have a wonderful day!

by Theary Chea

Hello there, It's Theary here. I'm back on the blog. Today, I want to share a card I created for a dear friend using the beautiful Gladiola Blossom and Leaves dies.

IMG_9957

I die-cut 94795 Gladiola Blossom and Leaves and 94793 Gladiola Floral Duo using blue and green cardstock. I then blended inks in blue, green, and purple to the die-cut pieces' edges.

Then, using 94672 A2 Rectangle Frames Die Set, I cut a piece of white colored cardstock and adhered it to a sheet of patterned paper from PP1027 Gladiola Plaid 6x6 pack that I trimmed down to 4.25 by 5.50 inches.

IMG_9965

I adhered the Gladiola Blossom and Leaves onto the bottom portion of the card panel using liquid adhesive.

For the sentiment, I love using ST005 Thank You Foil Greetings Black Tabs for an easy add-on. I also added 94659 Friend Daily Script that I die-cut out of SH44004 Glossy Black Paper.

I used a white gel pen throughout the card panel to give it extra highlights and details.

To finish, I popped it onto a top folding card base and added Gem102 Winter Fantasy Fairy Gemstones.

And that is it! I hope you found some inspiration and get crafty in your craft space. Until next time!!

5 Minute Cardmaking Tutorial
by Theary Chea

Hello there! It's Theary back on the blog again today. I want to share an easy five-minute card technique for today's project. Let's get started!

IMG_9570 (1)

To start, I am using the SP1013 Color Wheel Paper Pad in Sunrise and selected a few of the sheets from the pad to use with EF1025 Cheerful Floral 3D Embossing Folder & Cutting Die. I ran each sheet using my manual die-cutting machine.

After all the sheets have been embossed, use the embossing folder. I lightly ran over the embossed areas with a white pigment ink. This will give the overall texture a little bit of interest.

IMG_9567

I then splattered the card panel using white paint.

Lastly, I added a sentiment tab from ST006 Happy Birthday Foil Greetings White Tabs and adhered it to a top folding card base.

IMG_9564 (1)

And that's it! It's super simple but so effective! I made fours in less than 20 minutes. I hope you give this technique a try!

Have a wonderful day!

Clara Blooms Thank You Card
by Theary Chea

Hello, and welcome back to the blog. My name is Theary, and I am sharing a stunning thank you card with some of the fantastic products from the spring release. So, let's get started.

IMG_9189 (2)

I trimmed the SH44003 Kraft Woodgrain Paper Pack to 4 inches by 5.25 inches. I added some interest using a blending brush and brown ink to the left side of the cardstock. I matted the cardstock onto a sheet of pattern paper from PP1021 Magnolia Plaid Paper Pack that I trimmed to fit an A2-sized card base.

IMG_9191 (1)

Using 94724 Sitting Sparrow and 94688 Clara Blooms, I cut that out of white-colored cardstock using my die-cutting machine. I later used alcohol markers to color each die-cut piece. I adhered it to the card panel using a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares.

I die-cutted 94655 Thank You Daily Script out of SH44004 Glossy Black Cardstock. And adhered to the card panel using liquid adhesive.

IMG_9189 (2)

I  added a few embellishments from CRY101 Autumn Fairy Crystals to add some texture. To finalize the card design, I adhered it to a top folding card base and added details with a white gel pen.

And that is it! I hope you enjoy this tutorial and get crafty in your craft space. Until next time!

Have a wonderful day,

Cheerful Floral
by Theary Chea

Hello, and welcome back to the blog. My name is Theary, and I am sharing a card I created using the beautiful Cheerful Floral stamp and stencil set. So, Let's get started!

MB Cheerful Floral 2

I started by stamping CL5278 Cheerful Floral onto white-colored cardstock that I trimmed to 4 inches by 5.25 inches. I stamped the image using black premium ink. Then, using 88619 Cheerful Floral stencil. I aligned each layer onto the cardstock and blended each layer with a different dye ink color. You can use any color to ink in the stencil. I chose inks in the colors fuchsia, green, and yellow.
MB Cheerful Floral 2

Then, using the last stencil, I used a low tack tape to tape the stencil down onto the colored image. I later went in with a blue shade of ink to ink around the edges of the stencil to create a shadow effect. I also added white highlights throughout the card panel with a white gel pen.
MB Cheerful Floral 2

I matted the card front onto a black piece of cardstock trimmed slightly larger than the card panel. I adhered it to a top folding white card base. I used a strip from ST005 Thank You Foil Greeting Black Tabs for the sentiment. I also added gems from GEM102 Winter Fantasy.

And that's it! I hope you found some inspiration and have time to get crafty. Until next time! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Just Because
by Theary Chea

Hello! It's Theary here back on the blog again today. I am sharing a card I created using the mini Gracious Floral Release. IMG_3603 (1)

I began by stamping the large floral image from Gracious Floral CL5280 onto a white A2 cardstock. I stamped it once on the upper left-hand side, then rotated the paper to stamp it on the opposite side of the cardstock.
IMG_3603 (1)

I used coordinating stencils Gracious Floral 88620, distress oxide inks, and blending brushes to ink each stencil layer on the card panel. Once the floral stamped image was inked nicely, I placed the positive piece of the floral stencil over the colored image to mask off that area. Then, going in with a blending brush and a dark shade of ink, I blended the background scene.

IMG_3603

I created a border using Rectangle Double Border MBF006 with rose gold glimmer foil sheets. I like how the details added interest to the card design.

I stamped out a sentiment from Gracious Floral and cut that out using the coordinating dies. I adhered everything to a top folding card base and added white details using a white gel pen.

IMG_3602

And that completes the card! I hope you found some inspiration today! Until next time.

Have a wonderfully blessed day,
Theary Chea
