Say thanks with a splash of flowers and leaves from our latest releases - layered over a faux tile woodgrain background.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a slimline design for anyone who loves flowers.

To create the look of woodgrain tiles with the White Woodgrain Paper Pack - score it in 1" sections.  Lay it on a hard, flat surface and brayer it with Starlite Black Brilliance (used here) or Graphite Black Brilliance. The debossed scorelines won't receive the brayered ink.  Trim it to 5-¼" x 2-⅜".  Attach it to a white slimline card (3-½" x 8-½").

Diecut Charlotte Blooms and Leaves, Ruffled Blooms and Layered Fresh Flowers from red and pink 6x6's in the Berry Red Collection.

Cut the 6-stem Lavender Bouquet piece and the leaves from the Charlotte Blooms and Leaves sets from the Lush Green Collection sheets.

Cut the flower centers from the Charlotte and Ruffled Blooms sets from the dark blue/black sheet in the Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad.

Stamp the greeting - from the Big and Little Reverse Words Clear Stamp Set - on a Lush Green sheet with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair.  Quickly emboss it with detail clear powder.  Trim it with the tab die that's part of the stamp set.

Attach the leaves and flowers to the background.  Attach the greeting with foamtape.  Add clear Christmas Fairy Dewdrops.  Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Gather your Memory Box flower dies and cut a stash of them from our 6x6 paper collections.  Cut some leaves too.  They'll be ready for your next card, layout or mixed media project.  Make some quick gift tags too.

Thanks for visiting - see you again this weekend!

Thank You with Sunshine Daisy Stems
by Angie Cimbalo

AngiesignatureNEW

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with this fun thank you card made with newly released dies and hot foil dies.  Here's a close up look at my card:

AngiesignatureNEW

To make my card I smooshed purple and pink Distress Inks and water onto watercolor card then trimmed the panel to A2 size.  I added a strip of washi tape to the left side and then more to a piece of vellum to use to cut the flowers from.  I added a thin black strip of card stock next to the washi tape and then cut the new "Sunshine Daisy Stems" from black card and from the washi tape /vellum combo.  I layered the black outline flower on top of the floral washi tape/vellum combo and then cut off the vellum stems and just left the black ones .  I added the flowers to the watercolor panel and then I used the new "Posh Thank You" hot foil plate with some Gemini "Aurora" foil on black card to made the sentiment.  After adhering the whole watercolor panel to the card base, I added a few pastel jewels to the front of the card and added the whole panel to an A2 card base.

Here's one last look at my card:

I hope you enjoyed my card for today!  I had so much fun creating it!  Be sure to check out the whole new release from Memory Box, it's got so many beautiful items in it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy weekend!  Hi - Jean Okimoto here, discovering more ways to combine the great new dies from our May Collection.  Ruffled Poppy Stem (on the left) and Sweet Poppy Stem complement each other on a simple slimline. A delicate hot-foiled diecut Posh Thank You balances the bright bold blossoms with classic gold and black.

Cut Ruffled Poppy Stem from a teal 6x6 in the Fresh Aqua Collection.  Cut Sweet Poppy Stem from a pinkish red 6x6 in the Berry Red Collection.  Cut the flower centers from Black Glossy Paper.  Assemble the poppies - add dimension with foamtape between the layers.

Cut Kraft Woodgrain Paper with the 6-¾" Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Cut aqua and coral strips with the two smallest Slim Basic Rectangle Layers dies.  Diecutting simple layered accent strips creates smooth crisp edges and perfect proportions - without tedious measuring.

Foil and diecut Posh Thank You following the directions for your machine.  The classic greeting would be great with any of the floral or butterfly diecuts from the May Collection.

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-½" x 8-½").  Add turquoise Christmas Fairy Dewdrops.  Cut a slimline-sized rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The new Sweet Poppy Stem, Ruffled Poppy Stem and Graceful Poppy Stems are simple and elegant individually - or combined for more impact.  The stems will be great with other floral diecuts too - like the Ruffled Blooms and layered blossoms from earlier releases.  They'll be classic, versatile additions to your collection of Memory Box floral dies.

Thanks for visiting - have a great weekend!

DIY Hybrid Blossoms on a Slimline Thank You
by Jean Okimoto

P1012584

Mix and match design elements from the new floral die sets for hybrid blossoms on a slimline thank you card.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with an easy way to create unique flowers in your favorite colors.  I wish growing flowers could be this easy!

P1012651 2

Cut an assortment of Vibrant Violet 6x6 sheets with the Gentle Blossom Watercolor Floral and Cottage Flower Stem Sets.  Mix, match and layer the pieces onto 3 flowers.  The smallest flower is a a pair of the Cottage Flower Stem's top layer - cut from different shades of violet 6x6 sheets.

Cut the leaves - from the Gentle Blossom Watercolor Floral - from Lush Green 6x6 sheets.  The leaves are designed to be layered in different shades of green - but they're just one color here so they don't compete with the flowers.

Cut the flower centers from a lighter shade of green, spread Sour Apple Sparkle Glitter Glue over them and set them aside to dry.  The  two Cottage Flowers have a section of the Gentle Blossom's  center.  The Gentle Blossom has the Cottage Flower's center.

P1012639

Cut white cardstock with the largest Wrapped Stitch Slim Rectangle die.  Cut the rectangle with the Vertical Line Collage.  Tape a strip of the dark brown Earth Neutral 6x6 sheet behind the collage.  Attach the rectangle to a white slimline card (3-⅝" x 8-⅝"). Attach and assemble the flowers and leaves.

Stamp the greeting - from the Big and Little Reverse Words Clear Stamp Set - on white cardstock with Verdant VersaFine Clair.  Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder. Cut it with the matching die from the set.

Attach Winter Fantasy Fairy Gemstones.  Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Enjoy the versatility of these new floral dies - and the great range of coordinating colors in the Memory Box 6x6 Color Collections.  Create flowers for all seasons and occasions by mixing and matching these great options!

Thanks for visiting - see you again this weekend...

Cottage Flower Thank You
by Trina Pham

F87FD5CB-5F6A-4492-93A6-2DCBFBD0EEBF

Hello everyone.  I am sharing a clean and simple (CAS) thank you card today that I made for a crafty friend who helped me update my blog recently.  I used the Cottage Flower Stem die from the 2022 Valentine’s release and skipped the middle layer so I could do some die cut coloring.

The flower stem and flower center were die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock.  To give it strength, the flower stem was die cut from thick white cardstock, then adhered beneath the first one before some easy coloring with Copic markers.  Okay, maybe not so easy because I messed up on the stem/leaves. 😂  Another flower stem was then die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock and the stem/leaves were re-colored.  I liked how the flower turned out on the first one, so it was cut off and pieced on top of the second one.  The resulting dimension was a nice unexpected surprise.

A40280C9-C48A-4927-BFF4-AE1A8A81F828

Next, a piece of Bristol paper was die cut with the Wrapped Stitch Rectangle and splatters added using diluted black gouache paint.  The Thank You Posh Script was die cut three times from white cardstock and once from black cardstock, then stacked for a floating effect.  For some shine, covered it with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it twice with clear embossing powder.  Assembled the card onto a white card base and added clear shimmer to the flower to finish.

Kept it pretty simple so the Cottage Flower Stem could shine!  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Watercolor Floral Thank You Notes
by Anne Thompson

There are two new dies in the Valentines 2022 Collection that I featured in today's thank you notes:  Cottage Flower Stem and Gentle Blossom Watercolor Floral.

IMG_3472-ink

Let's look at this one first:  IMG_3476-ink

materials used

to make this card

  • trim cardstock 4X5.25 and adhere to the front of a white notecard
  • die cut the Woodgrain Heart from a darker cardstock and add to the notecard front
  • die cut the Gentle Blossom Watercolor Floral pieces from Watercolor Paper and paint with watercolor paints
  • assemble the blossom and leaves on the heart and add three of the Winter Fantasy Fairy Gemstones in the center of the blossom

IMG_3474-ink

And here is the card using the other floral die:

IMG_3473-ink

For this card I used a red cardstock on a red notecard, a yellow cardstock for the Woodgrain Heart, and both cardstocks for the Thank You.  The watercolored floral is the COTTAGE FLOWER STEM 94611.  I added a few CHRISTMAS FAIRY CRYSTALS CRY102 for a little extra sparkle.

These would make lovely valentines by changing the sentiment on each design.

Happy Crafting!

Thank You Memory Box
by Michelle Bala

19

Hello there! Michelle here, sharing my last Memory Box blog post as part of their design team:( Thank you, Dave and Monica, for your generosity and the beautiful products you supplied to us!!!!  And a HUGE THANK YOU to all my crafty friends on this blog!!! I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year!!!
19

Today's card is pretty basic. I used the Geometric Crystals 3D Embossing Folder and embossed a piece of white cardstock. Than I trimmed the cardstock to measure 4 x 5 2/4". The card base meausres 4 2/4 x 5 1/2. I adhered the embossed panel to the card base with foam tape.

Next, I used the Bennet Alphabet Dies. This set of dies has two dies per letter. The letter die and it's coordinating shadow. I die cut the words 'thank you' from the 6 x 6 pattern paper pack Woodsy Plaid. I took the shadow dies ( the larger die) and die cut the glitter background from the Majestic Hues Glitter Pad. I adhered the plaid pattern on top of the glitter. Than I adhered the whole letter to the embossed panel with foam tape.

That's all for me...God Bless you all!

Woodgrain Heart Poinsettia Thank You Cards
by Anne Thompson

It's time to send out those after Christmas thank you notes, and mine are both a nod to Christmas and to the upcoming Valentine's Day.  When I was going through my supplies from the 2021 Valentine Collection thinking about valentines, I found the Woodgrain Heart that I thought would be the perfect background for a Layered Poinsettia thank-you-for-my-Christmas-gift card.

IMG_3442-ink

materials used

  • white notecards
  • white cardstock
  • cardstock from the LUSH GREEN COLLECTION SP1003
  • cardstock from the OCEAN BLUE COLLECTION SP1005
  • plaid papers from WOODSY PLAID PP1018
  • WOODGRAIN HEART 94552
  • LAYERED POINSETTIA 94605
  • THANK YOU STREAMLINED SCRIPT 94541
  • CHRISTMAS FAIRY CRYSTALS CRY102
  • CHRISTMAS FAIRY JEWELS JWL005
  • white pearls

IMG_3439-ink
IMG_3439-ink

to make this card design

IMG_3444-ink

  • Trim plaid paper or cardstock to 4X5.25 and adhere to the front of a white notecard.
  • Die cut the Woodgrain Heart from cardstock and add it to the front--I used Scor-Tape to anchor mine.  In the photo below you can see the beautiful detail in the heart.

IMG_3450-ink

  • Next die cut the Layered Poinsettia from a cardstock that coordinates with the plaid or cardstock background and heart.  I assembled mine using Glue Dots and another in the center back to hold it onto the heart.
  • Die cut the Thank You Streamlined Script from white cardstock and use glue to add it to either the heart or the background on the card.
  • The last step is to add Christmas Fairy Jewels and Christmas Fairy Crystals to the flower centers and the card background.

This may also give you an idea for those valentines you will need to start making soon.  Just change up the flowers and the sentiment for a lovely valentine!  Need some supplies?  Check out the 2021 Valentine Collection here.

Happy Crafting!  See you again in 2022!

Thanks Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_0301

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  Today I have an easy Thank-You card for you.

To create the background, I used Simon Hurley's Stamping Foam and pressed it on the Ringadings 3D Embossing folder.

Next, I rubbed the ink pads directly onto the stamping foam, misted it lightly with plain water and stamped it onto white cardstock.

IMG_0303

I mounted the background on a black cardstock mat and used foam tape to adhere it to a white card base.

I die cut the word Thanks from glitter cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock.

Then I glued it onto the shadow die cut and adhere it to the card.

To finish the card,  I added some Clear Fairy Drops.

IMG_0302

That's it for today!  I hope you all have a wonderful day!
