Cut, 3d-emboss and stencil a fresh floral design from the Spring Cheer Collection and get ready to welcome the new season.  It's just 17 days away!  Hi, Jean here with a weekend project from our latest release.

Glue two layers of yellow cardstock together for dimension and cut it with the floral die fron the Cheerful Floral Clear Stamp Set.  Remove the tiny offcuts.  Spritz both sides of the diecut with a light mist of water and emboss it with the Cheerful Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

The Cheerful Floral 6x6 Art Stencil Set includes a colored, numbered illustrated guide. The numbers coordinate with the numbers cut into the stencils.  There's also a stencil that isn't completely cut out - don't remove the pieces (like I almost did!).  That special stencil can be used to mask and protect the adjacent areas when you're stenciling.

Follow the numbered, illustrated color guide to color and shade the embossed design.  The guide shows different colors on the 6 small flowers - I used a single color for all of the petals and added pale yelllow-green Bright Jewels instead.

Pearlescent Lime and Sunflower Yellow Brilliance inks were used.  Brilliance inks are great for stenciling - they're blendable, great for layering, heat-embossable if you're quick -  and several colors add a pearlescent luster.

Cut yellow cardstock to 4-¼" x 9 -¾".  Score it at 4-¼" from the left edge.  Attach the floral diecut.  Add the jewels.

Stamp the greetings from the Cheerful Floral Clear Stamp Set on yellow cardstock with Pearlescent Thyme Brilliance - leave enough space around "means so much" to diecut it with the 2-½"  x 1-¼" A2 Rectangle Frames Die later.   Quickly heat-emboss them.  Cut "kindness" with the die that's included in the stamp set. Cut an extra rectangle and layer it for dimension.

Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

These flowers can celebrate Easter, say thanks, convey birthday wishes or send hugs.  Create a stash of these in different colors and they'll be ready for any occasion.

Thanks for visiting our blog - have a great weekend!

Cheerful Floral
by Theary Chea

Hello, and welcome back to the blog. My name is Theary, and I am sharing a card I created using the beautiful Cheerful Floral stamp and stencil set. So, Let's get started!

MB Cheerful Floral 2

I started by stamping CL5278 Cheerful Floral onto white-colored cardstock that I trimmed to 4 inches by 5.25 inches. I stamped the image using black premium ink. Then, using 88619 Cheerful Floral stencil. I aligned each layer onto the cardstock and blended each layer with a different dye ink color. You can use any color to ink in the stencil. I chose inks in the colors fuchsia, green, and yellow.
MB Cheerful Floral 2

Then, using the last stencil, I used a low tack tape to tape the stencil down onto the colored image. I later went in with a blue shade of ink to ink around the edges of the stencil to create a shadow effect. I also added white highlights throughout the card panel with a white gel pen.
MB Cheerful Floral 2

I matted the card front onto a black piece of cardstock trimmed slightly larger than the card panel. I adhered it to a top folding white card base. I used a strip from ST005 Thank You Foil Greeting Black Tabs for the sentiment. I also added gems from GEM102 Winter Fantasy.

And that's it! I hope you found some inspiration and have time to get crafty. Until next time! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Wishing You JOY for the New Year
by Anne Thompson

As I was thinking about this post and what kind of a card I might make, it began to snow.   And it has snowed most of the day though it hasn't accumulated very much.  So of course I had to use the Snow Flurries Stencil!

IMG_2727 (1)

I started with the last piece of card stock I had left in my FRESH AQUA SP1004 paper pad.  I used the SNOW FLURRIES STENCIL 88626 and my Craft Decor Chalk Writer to make the snowflakes and set them with the heat gun.  I trimmed that piece to 4 X 5 1/4 and added it to the front of a top fold note card.

IMG_2720 (1)

I die cut the WINTER TREE ARCH 94735 using one of the green plaid papers from WOODSY PLAID PP1018 and then cut it again from white card stock.  I layered the white image on top of the plaid, offset just a bit.  I added that to the front of the note card.

IMG_2721 (1)

I used scraps of the plaid and the white card stock to cut out the PINE TREE GROVE 94736.  I layered those with the plaid underneath the white image, offset a bit, and added those trees to the lower left edge of the Winter Tree Arch on the note card.

IMG_2723 (1)

I cut BRILLIANT JOY 94759 background twice from another scrap of the green plaid paper and glued those two layers together.  I cut the detailed JOY twice from white card stock, glued them together, and then glued the letters onto the background.  I added the sentiment to the card front overlapping the pine trees a bit.

On this New Year's Eve I wish you all a joy-filled year to come, one with lots of love and laughter, good friends and good health, and plenty of time for crafting!  Happy 2024!

Snowy Happy New Year

Main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a snow filled Happy New Year card!  This time of year is very special for my family as we have several family birthdays during the last week of every year - it's time to celebrate!

To make my card I first took a piece of red cardstock and the new "Snow Flurries stencil" and used some white embossing paste with it to create the falling snow background.  Here's a look at that step.

Process

Once it dried, I added thin strips of white glitter paper to the edges.  Next I cut the 2 snowflake dies from the "Aurora" snowflake die set from the same white glitter paper.  The paper is from the "Delicate Pastel Glitter Paper" pad.

I also cut 3 more of the snowflake background from white cardstock and glued them behind the glitter one.  I added the glitter top layer of snowflake to the glitter stack and then popped it up on the card front.  I heat embossed the sentiment from clear stamp set called "Sweet Christmas," onto black cardstock and then trimmed it to a small rectangle.  To finish my card I added lots of "Christmas Jewels" to the snowflake and the corners of the sentiment.

Here's one last look:

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and wish you the happiest of new years!  Welcome 2024!

Vintage Lantern Merry Christmas
by Angie Cimbalo

Stenciling

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a glittery Christmas card featuring the newly released Vintage Lantern die and the Starlight Snow stencil.  I also used previously released Pine Needle Frame die along with Glitzy Glitter Paper Pad.  Here's a close look at the stenciling I did with Champagne Mist Deco Foil Metallix Gel.

Stenciling

After using the paste/gel on the blue cardstock, I set it aside to dry and then took 2 pieced of gold glitter paper and cut the lantern and pine frame from them.  I inked a separate small piece of white card stock with blue inks to put behind the lantern.  Here's a close up look at the shine from that glitter paper:

Stenciling

I added the pieces of the lantern to build it up and then glued it to the inked background and cut off the excess.  Next I glued the frame around the stenciled panel and popped up the lantern on foam tape.  To finish my card I added one of the white sentiment tabs that were also released just recently.

Here's one last look at my card:

I hope you like my glittery card for today.  I loved creating it and can't wait to send it to someone special!

Thanks for stopping by!

Starlight Snow Day by Jean Okimoto

P1028984 3

Backyard Wren - from a previous release - was a bit neglected during the current flurry of holiday designs from our Christmas '23 Collection.  He's joining the party, with a hat borrowed from Bundled Bird, on a Starlight Snow backdrop.  Hi, Jean here with another winter scene for holiday inspiration.

P1028999

Prep a 6" square of dark blue/gray cardstock with the embossing powder tool.  Stencil the Starlight Snow design with Wedding Dress Memento Luxe.  Heat-emboss it with detail white embossing powder.  Trim it with the 3.5" wide Nested Globes die.

Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to tan, red and white wool-blend felt.  The paper backing stabilizes the felt and prevents adhesives from saturating it.  Cut the main section of Backyard Wren from the tan felt.

We're using the Bundled Bird's hat - but we need it to face the opposite direction.  Diecut the red and white felt from the reverse side (paper-side-up) to create a custom hat for Backyard Wren.

Cut the wings from the copper Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Cut the beak section (it goes behind the main felt piece) from orange cardstock and color the eye area with a black marker.  Cut the head overlay from light kraft cardstock.

Cut the Poinsettia Stem branch from kraft cardstock.

Cut the Brilliant Joy background from heavy white cardstock.  Pressure-emboss it with the detailed Brilliant Joy die using the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine.  Cut red cardstock with the detailed die and attach the individual letters to the pressure-embossed white background.  Attach red cardstock scraps behind the cutouts in the letters O and Y.

P1028992

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4.5" x 6.25") - use foam dots for the bird and greeting.  Attach clear Christmas Fairy Dewdrops.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

A lot of little details here...thanks for visiting our blog!

Warm Wishes Treat Box
Donna Sledzik

IMG_7067

Hello everyone!  Today I have a cute little treat box or gift card holder for you.

I started with a pre-made Kraft pillow box that I bought at Hobby Lobby, then used white ink and the Snow Flurries Stencil to create the snow background on the box.

IMG_7031

I glued a band around the box using a 3/4" strip of plaid paper from the Christmas Jolly paper pad.

Next, I die cut the Aurora Snowflake from white cardstock and the shadow from red cardstock, glued them together, and used foam tape to adhere it to the box.

I stamped and white heat embossed the words "Warm Wishes" on a strip of black cardstock then cut it into a tag.

I wrapped twine around the box, and adhered the word strip and bells to the box.

That's it for today!  It's a pretty fast project using a pre-made box to embellish!

Snowflake Shaker Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  I have a another snow globe shaped card but this is an actual shaker card.  The Nested Globe dies make it easy to create snow globe shaker cards.

09B41828-E2E6-4835-B06A-BF8D18DF85CD_1_201_a

Background:

Die cut the 3rd larges die from the Nested Globe die set from white card stock  Ink blend with Elements Della Blue allover and then around the edges with Dark Denim.  Heat dry completely.  White heat emboss the Aurora Snowflake stamp.  Then stencil the Snow Flurries stencil with white pigment ink .

Shaker:

Take an A2 black side folder card and line up the largest die from the Nested Globe die set so the left side edge does not cut the fold and run through the die cutting machine.  Take the largest and 3rd largest Nested Globe dies and die cut a frame from black card stock.  Adhere a piece of acetate behind the frame die cut.

39DAFA1F-475F-41AF-9ACF-4F736ED96670

Assembly:

Adhere the background to the center of the shaker card.  Then add black foam tape around the edges.  Fill with Distress Mica Flakes.  Then remove the backing from the foam tape and adhere the frame.  Die cut the Celeste Snowflake Trio from white card stock and adhere the largest die cut to the center and the 2 smaller on the frame.  Adhere a Merry Christmas Black Greet Tabs to the center of the snowflake.

Merry Christmas Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_6887

Good morning everyone!  I have a soft pastel color themed Christmas card for you today.

I began by applying Speckled Egg Distress Ink to a white cardstock panel and drying it completely before the next step.

Next I used a blending brush to apply Gold metallic ink through the Starlight Snowflake stencil to the inked panel.  This gives it a very soft look.

I die cut the center of the panel using one of the Nested Globe dies.

I used the Snow Flurries stencil and Speckled Egg Distress Ink to add color in the center of a white cardstock panel, which goes behind the die cut card front.

IMG_6889

The trees were die cut from green cardstock and glued to the center of the globe cut out.

I die cut the snowflakes from white glitter cardstock and glued them to the card front.

Then I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment strip to the card.

The card front was glued to white card base using foam tape.

IMG_6888

To finish the card, I added some Fairy Crystals and Clear Jewels for a little sparkle.

That's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Birch Tree Forest, Birds and a Bear by Jean Okimoto

The new Birch Tree Forest 3D Embossing Folder sets the scene for a northwest bear sighting. Hi, Jean here with a woodsy winter design.  No polar bears here, but a big brown bear recently visited our neighbor, surprising his parents - and inspired today's card.

Cut heavy white cardstock with the largest A2 Rectangle Frames die.  Spritz a light mist of water onto both sides of the cardstock and emboss it with the Birch Tree Forest 3D Embossing Folder.  Dry it if it's still slightly damp, then prep it with the embossing powder tool.  Stencil it with the new Snow Flurries Stencil using a clean, well-inked VersaMark inkpad and a dauber or sponge.   Heat-emboss it with Imagine's Iridescent Embossing Powder,  like a scattering of sparkly snowflakes.  They're hard to see here, but they really do sparkle!  Attach it to a top-folded white A2 card.

Attach adhesive label paper or a sticker sheet to brown and bright red wool-blend felt.  The paper backing stabilizes the felt and keeps adhesives from saturating it.

Cut the brown felt with the Layered Polar Bear's large outline die.  Cut the other sections from tan cardstock.  Attach a scrap of black cardstock behind his eyes and nose.  Use a brown marker to add a dot of ink to the felt diecut where the ear cutouts will appear.

Cut the Layered Birds from light kraft cardstock and red felt.

Cut the scarf - borrowed from the Bundled Bird die set - from the turquoise Rainbow Reflections 6x6.

Attach the diecuts to the embossed background.  Add a a rich gold-embossed greeting from the new Merry Christmas Foil Greetings Rose Tabs.  Hope you can see the sparkly snowflakes here.

Thanks for visiting - see you next week!
