Merry and Bright Stitched Star Layers
by Jean Okimoto

OpenStudioStarsAtNight-OpenStudioStitchedStarLayers-OpenStudioStitchedRectangleLayers-MemoryBoxMerryAndBright-JeanOkimoto-ImagineCrafts-Delicata-RadiantNeons-ImpressCardsAndCraftsA merry and bright card with colorful felt  Stitched Star Layers adds a bit of winter warmth to a chilly day.  Jean Okimoto here with another quick card to make before the Thanksgiving countdown  begins.

Attach adhesive label paper to felt to prep it for diecutting.  It stabilizes the felt - and keeps liquid adhesives from soaking through.  It takes less than a minute - but makes a big difference.  Be sure to use good felt too - Impress carries a a great wool blend in a rainbow of beautiful colors.

I love combining  detailed vintage-y designs like Stars at Night with the classic, contemporary Stitched Star Layers.  There are so many great ways to layer our stamps and dies - view the entire collection for more inspiration.

Delicata Golden Glitz from Imagine Crafts is the perfect gold for the holidays.  It's great for detailed, intricate stamps and adds a sparkly shimmer to any design.  Radiant Neons Electric Pink makes the greeting pop, especially when it's embossed with detail clear powder.

Want to custom-cut a stitched  block?  Stamp (or stamp and emboss) the image  first. Cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Layer - use the rectangle that's closest in size.  Trim off any excess cardstock using the inner edge of one of the dies.  It's easier than it sounds and you'll have perfect squares or rectangles with a great detailed edge.

Please visit our Ideas Gallery for detailed directions and supply lists for today's card - and more holiday inspiration.

Paper Angel of Wonder
by Marnie Bushmole

Good Morning!  Holiday preparations are in full swing here.  I did find a little time to play with some new techniques.   Today my cards background uses one of these.   The card is embellished with a gold matte and shiny Paper Angel(she is so adorable) layered on top of card stock and matte gold card stock cut from the Pinpoint Circle Layers.  For the greeting I stamped the word "Wonder" from the Words to Live By stamp set, in Versamark by Imagine Crafts and embossed it with Imagine Crafts Gold embossing powder.

For this background  I've used Tulip dry fabric dye as a watercolor medium.  It is so much fun to play with and I love how the dye reacts when water is added.  Here I have used black dye only, I wet the sprinkled dye then added some drops of Perfect Pearls Mist "Sunflower Sparkle" for a hint of gold.   I love how the black dye had all of these other colors pop out of it not just black but pink and oranges as well.

Merry And Bright Sled
by Marnie Bushmole

Good November Morning!  It's finally ok to start preparing for Christmas!  I'm so excited this is my favorite time.  I love creating Holiday cards and projects!   So for today I have a fun water colored piece with the Large Winter Sled layered over and the Merry and Bright stamped in gold.   There is a bit of gold thread added to the sled as a pull.  I just used my 1/16" hole punch to thread it through.

The watercolor background is done on a die cut piece of water color paper using the Pinpoint Square Layers.  The watercolor red is Brusho and the green dots are from a tube of water color they match the Memory Box patterned papers used here.

The card itself is a 5" square card which I haven't tried in awhile but I do love how the square cards turn out.

Hope your having a Wonderful Week!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Be sure to check out the NEW November Memory Box Challenge #6 Glitter here

Spooky Haunted House

Good Morning!   After a month of Christmas I needed something completely different.  So here is a Spooky Little House.  Isn't it cute?  I love the new Old Haunted House 99204.  I created a background for it using Distress Ink.  The moon comes from the new Open Studio Over The Moon And Stars 30057.  All of the patterned paper are Memory Box Signature Patterns.

I've added little Stickles stars in the background for a little sparkle and shine.  I adore how it turned out.

Hope your having an Amazing week!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Golden Starfall

IMG_0879

I am including starfall with this series because the stamp is similar to snowfall. If you missed the first installment, please check out this post.

Do you see the falling images, you can see why I have used both these stamps in my series. Starfall just had to be done in gold and the best gold ink I own is the Delicata-Golden Glitz by Imagine Crafts. I stamped all the images with the gold ink and I fussy cut the forest pine.

IMG_1074

The hill was free hand cut with scissors. I sprayed it with irRESISTible gold spray from imagine Crafts. I put it all together and you have a very CAS card that is merry and bright.

Stay tune for another installment of the "fall" series!

Spooky Harvest Moon

  Harvestmoontree

Good Morning, Marnie here!  I have a very Spooky Harvest tree today.  I created a background with yellow Distress Ink for the moon and blue and black Distress ink in the Distressed Web Stencil-88580.  Once that was complete I added my die cut Harvest Moon Tree Die-99029, the extra hills were cut with the Big Word Pop Curve-99047 on either side.  Once everything was down A Bunch of Bats-98708 were put on flying all around the tree and moon.  To add a bit of sparkle I added some Stickles dots.  Like stars shining.

Hope you like it.  Have a wonderful day!
