Spooky Haunted House

Good Morning!   After a month of Christmas I needed something completely different.  So here is a Spooky Little House.  Isn't it cute?  I love the new Old Haunted House 99204.  I created a background for it using Distress Ink.  The moon comes from the new Open Studio Over The Moon And Stars 30057.  All of the patterned paper are Memory Box Signature Patterns.

I've added little Stickles stars in the background for a little sparkle and shine.  I adore how it turned out.

Hope your having an Amazing week!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

New Release - Drop Ornament 2 Ways

It's time for the Memory Box July Release!  So exciting have you seen all of the new dies coming out for the upcoming Holiday Season and MORE.... Memory Box has once again outdone themselves with these inspiring new designs.  Be sure to check out the entire CATALOG and let your imagination run wild!

So I've used a few of the new dies for today.    This first card starts with the Stitched Happy Holiday Square Frame 99265 cut from matte silver paper, the ornament is the Drop Ornament Layers 99225 cut from silver mirror card and covered with iridescent sequins.  I've also used the new Ornament Caps and Hooks 99213 at the top of the ornament to hang it from the letter y.

The entire affect is a shining ornament.  All of the patterned papers are Memory Box.

For this second card I used Drop Ornament Layers 99225 again only a larger size along with the Sketch Shining Star 99177 which is embedded into the ornament.  The Happy Holidays come from the Stitched Happy Holiday Square Frame 99265 again and the white square frame is from a previous release die Shaker Square Frames 30030 lastly the bow is from Truly Gifted 30039.

These cards will be part of the Die Cut Discovery Class at CraftFancy for our Annual Christmas in July month.     Hope your like them.

Be sure to check back throughout the week for more inspiration from all of the talented designers we know you will not be disappointed.   Thank you for stopping by.

Very Merry, Very Bright

Very Merry, Very Bright...and very late today!  I reorganized my desk and transferred my post dates to a new 14-month calendar and accidentally scheduled today's posts for November 12th.  Rather than try to whip up a quick card (I'm never good at that) - I decided to go for something more special.  Hope you like it!   Jean Okimoto here today - let's get started...

Memory Box Products

  • Starfall Stamp G2002
  • Merry and Bright Combo Stamp B2005 (there's a little star stamp on the side)
  • Parchment Notecard
  • Granny Smith Envelope
  • Granny Smith and Key Lime Notecards (for diecutting)
  • Curled Ribbons Die 98936
  • Cabrini Ornament Die 98926
  • Cosmic Star Set Die 98464

Imagine Crafts Products

  • Craft Mat
  • Fireworks Spritzes - Lilac Posies, Tangelo
  • Sheer Shimmer Spritz - Gold
  • VersaMark Inkpad
  • Brilliance Pearlescent Thyme Inkpad

The Cabrini Ornament is diecut from watercolor paper spritzed with Lilac Posies, Tangelo and Gold. Dry the inks - then stamp Starfall with VersaMark and emboss it with detail gold powder.

Cut the ornament again from gold mirror cardstock - and cut the two leaves from Granny Smith.  Place a few strips of Scor-Tape on the back of the diecut and attach the little pieces.  Push the excess tape (at the bottom of the ornament) back onto itself.  Attach the ornament and ribbon to the card.  Stamp the greeting and attach some Cosmic Stars.  Coordinate it with a Granny Smith Envelope for a bright pop of color in the mailbox...it's sure to be opened first!

Thanks for visiting...see you again in a few hours, with another post!

Golden Starfall

I am including starfall with this series because the stamp is similar to snowfall. If you missed the first installment, please check out this post.

Do you see the falling images, you can see why I have used both these stamps in my series. Starfall just had to be done in gold and the best gold ink I own is the Delicata-Golden Glitz by Imagine Crafts. I stamped all the images with the gold ink and I fussy cut the forest pine.

The hill was free hand cut with scissors. I sprayed it with irRESISTible gold spray from imagine Crafts. I put it all together and you have a very CAS card that is merry and bright.

Stay tune for another installment of the "fall" series!

Good Morning, Marnie here!  I have a very Spooky Harvest tree today.  I created a background with yellow Distress Ink for the moon and blue and black Distress ink in the Distressed Web Stencil-88580.  Once that was complete I added my die cut Harvest Moon Tree Die-99029, the extra hills were cut with the Big Word Pop Curve-99047 on either side.  Once everything was down A Bunch of Bats-98708 were put on flying all around the tree and moon.  To add a bit of sparkle I added some Stickles dots.  Like stars shining.

Abracadabra!! It's a twofer!!!

Welcome to Day 2 of Memory Box's new release blog blitz! Wow! my fellow designers have out did themselves, haven't they? How can I follow all that?

Be sure to check the blog twice a day for posts all week and leave comments--you might just win a NEW die or stencil from this collection!

Well, how about a twofer!! I am all about finding the most uses out of one stamp, die etc. Remember this post? When I received the Cosenza tree border die # 98855, I knew how else I could use it. But first things first.

I made a set of hello cards each color featuring a different season with the cosenza tree border die cut from various MB papers. I die cut cosenza tree border outline # 98864 from brown card stock. I added a matching strip of washi tape and using the new urban alphabet dies to add the hello.

NOW FOR THE MAGIC!! ABRACADABRA! Just say the magic words- Memory Box!

Do you see the magic? Do see the twofer? All those left over pieces from the cosenza tree border, minus their trunks made perfect little balloons!! How fun is that!! A subtle sponging of starry nights stencil and this bonus card was complete.

Don't forget to leave a comment to this post for a chance to win the Consenza Tree Border die.  Every blog post this week will have a chance to win a prize.  The deadline for submitting comments is 10:00pm EST on Sunday, March 30th.  Winners will be announced on the Outside the Box blog on Monday, March 31st.  Good luck!
