P1004872

P1004883

Stamp the flowers on smooth white cardstock with Onyx Black VersaFine Clair and quickly emboss it with detail clear powder.  Cut it with the coordinating die from the set.

Diecut the Wooden Alpha greeting from a pink sheet in the Berry Red 6x6 Collection.

Sponge flamingo kitsch Distress Oxide onto white cardstock.  Cut it with the 7-¼ X 2-¼" Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Spray it with Imagine's Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz.  Airi-dry it for a few minutes, then heat-set it.

Attach the diecuts to a kraft slimline card (3-12 x 8-½").  Punch ¼" dots from the gold 6x6 Holiday Glitter Pad sheet.

Let bright colors and a spritz of gold upgrade quick cards for any occasion.  A bold greeting becomes part of the design -  the 108 colors in our 6x6 cardstock collection make it easy to find the perfect shade for your design.

Spritz, Sponge and Speckle a Slimline Birthday Card by Jean Okimoto

Need a birthday card idea?  Here's a spring birthday greeting in pinks and greens.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with techniques for weekend crafting.

Spritz both sides of Open Studio Watercolor Paper lightly with water.  Attach the Stained Glass Floral die to the smoother side of the paper.  Pressure-emboss it with the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine.

Cut Stained Glass Floral again from printer paper - we're using the 3 large offcuts to mask the uninked sections of the watercolor paper.  (You can also mask the very small triangle at the bottom...I didn't!)  Lightly tape the offcuts to mask areas around the embossed design.  Have a double layer of paper towel nearby.

Hold the offcuts down with a stylus or skewer and sponge the embossed sections with flamingo kitsch and twisted citron Distress Oxides.  Carefully remove the offcuts and spritz the inked design with just enough water so the inks start moving and filling the embossed sections.  Blot the excess ink with the paper towel.  Heat-set the inks.  Diecut it with the 2-½" Square Basics die.

Flick specks of diluted flamingo kitsch ink around the embossed design.

Cut the pink and green Spring Plaid Slim sheet with the 2-¼ x 7-¼" Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Cut a ¾" x 3-½" strip of the lime green Frosted Glitter Pad sheet.  Attach both pieces to a pale sage slimline card (3-⅝" x 8-½").  Attach the embossed square.

Diecut Stained Glass Floral from a sheet in the 6x6 Lush Green Collection - leave it in the die.  Attach narrow strips of lined doublestick tape - like Diecut'nBond or Scor-Tape - along the outer edges and run it through the machine again to cut the tape.  Leave it in the die and remove the offcuts and tape liner pieces.  Flip the diecut (still in the die) over onto the watercolor paper.  Press it firmly to transfer and adhere the diecut onto the watercolor paper.   Carefully remove the die.

Cut the Birthday Mail background from another 6x6 Lush Green Collection sheet. Cut the delicate Birthday Mail overlay from the pink Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad sheet.  You can either save and attach the very, very tiny piece that dots the "i" - or punch a ¼" dot of the pink glittered sheet and attach it behind the tiny hole on the green diecut. Option #2 is much easier!  Punch 3 more dots and attach them on the left side.

Thanks for following this long, detailed process - it's a lot easier than it sounds!  Hope you'll try this idea with similar Memory Box dies and your favorite colors.

Have a great Sunday - see you again on Thursday...

Diecut contemporary flowers for spring cards with the versatile Nested Globes and the Berry Red 6x6 Collection.  A bit of upcycled diecutting and the great colors of the Berry Red set add a fresh look to a slimline design for any occasion.  Hello, Jean Okimoto here sharing a self-challenge design.  I wanted to create these simple flowers from supplies in my stash, including the Poppystamps products I buy to make card kits for Impress here in Seattle and Stamps and Memories in Hawaii.

Cut partial pieces from the 6x6 Berry Red Collection with the 2nd- and 3rd-smallest Nested Globes dies.  Cut smaller sections of contrasting shades to create a layered, dimensional look.  Trim the edges with 2 of the Poppystamps Wave Trio dies.

Cut Seed Stems from the lime green sheet in the Frosted Glitter 6x6 pad.  Assemble the flowers - trim the Seed Stem for the small flower.

Cut two partial pieces of the dark brown Earth Neutral 6x6 sheet with the 7-¼ x 2-¼" Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangle. Overlap and attach them where it'll be covered by the flowers, about 3" from the top edge.

Stamp the greeting - from the Big and Little Reverse Words Clear Stamp and Die Set - on white cardstock with Tulip Red VersaFine Clair.  Dry the ink and diecut the greeting with the die that's included in the set.

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-½ x 8-½") - use foam dots for the greeting.  Add ¼" dots punched from the gold sheet in the Holiday Glitter Pad.

Hello Daisy
by Sara Cook

Hope everyone is having a good spring so far.  I have lively spring card that is quick and colorful using Memory Box watercolor paper and Daisy Stem die.

D8BB7C24-5331-4C29-99C1-2F42B54F9559_1_201_a

Background:

Die cut the Memory Box watercolor paper with the 2nd largest die from Wrapped Stitched Rectangles set.  Stamped the paper with the Typewriter Holiday Element word background stamp and white heat embossed.  Wet both sides of the paper with water.  I picked out 4 colors to watercolor with from my paints, bright yellow, a light green, a turquoise, and a blue.  Randomly dap the color starting with the lightest to the darkest until the paper is mostly colored.  Let the water blend the colors and only lightly touch the color together with your paintbrush. The background does not need to be fully painted.  Let dry.

Flower:

Die cut the Daisy Stem flower die from the lightest yellow paper from the Sunny Orange paper pack and both stem and leaves die from a green paper from the Lush Green paper back.  I lightly added watercolored the die cuts with the matching paint used in the background.  I did add a light brown paint to the base of the daisy.  Let dry.

Sentiment:

I stamped the hello sentiment from the Big and Little Reverse Words set with a matching aqua pigment ink, I used Fresh Ink Spruce ink pad.  Die cut the sentiment with the matching die.

Assemble:

Adhere the background watercolor to a matching color paper.  I chose the  darkest paper from the Fresh Aqua paper pack and trim down to 5"x3 3/4" to create a boarder.  Then adhere it to a A2 card base.  Glue the flowers together and then on the stem. Adhere the leave setem and then the flower to the center of the card.  Adhere the sentiment over the lower portion of the flower with foam tape.

Slimline Hello
by Michelle Bala

3

Hello there! I'm stopping by today to share a slimline card, CAS style! It's easy to create using the Slimline Basic Rectangle Layers Dies.  I created the card base that measures 3 1/2 x 8 1/2. Than die cut two slimline rectangle layers. Using the top layer, I positioned the Wooden Alpha Dies to spell HELLO. I secured the first three letters with washi tape, than die cut. Reposition the last two and die cut.

1

After the letters were die cut, I used Copic Markers to color them. I die cut the Gerber Stems and used Copics to color. Reposition the letters, secure with washi tape, adhere the panel with foam tape tot he middle panel.  Remove the washi tape. Adhere the middle panel with foam tape to the card base. Emboss and trim the sentiment from the stamp set, Joyful Moments Clear Stamp Set.

2

Adhere the gerber stems. I finished the card with some gems.

Thanks for stopping by!

Handmade Easter Baskets with Video
by Sara Cook

Hello everyone. I have an Easter basket project today using the Spring Plaid Slim line paper pack.  This is an easy and fun project you can your kids can do together.  Check out the YouTube tutorial, link below.

26FDE6A4-B611-47C7-B399-AF6E53310469_1_201_a

Basket:

Cut 2 pieces of matching slim line papers to 8 1/4" in length, removing the hole. Choose what side is inside of the basket and what is the outside.  Score 1/4" along the top of the inside of the paper and score at 4 1/4".  Turn paper and score 1/4" from edge of paper down the longest side at 3 1/4"..  Score the 2nd paper the same way. Fold along the score lines.  This will create 1/4" flaps along top and along 1 side of the paper.  Cut the corners of the each flap.  Then cut the long flap at the 4 1/4" score only up to the flap.  Cut the corners on each flap.  Glue the short flaps and adhere to the other side of the  paper to form a box.  Cut a base out of matching paper to 4"x4".  Add glue to the flaps from inside of the box and put the 4"x4" paper over the glued flaps.  To make the handle cut a strip of paper 11"x1".  Shape to form a curve.  Add glue to bottom 1/2" end of the strip and adhere to inside of the box.  Add glue to the other end and adhere to the other side of the box.

Now for the fun part, decorating!  This is where you use your creativity to embellish the basket how you want. Below are some ideas to get you started.

I used Wild Glass Boarder die to make a a grassy board around a basket.  Added eggs die cute out of Delicate Pastel Glitter paper using the Half Dozen Eggs die and and bunny die cut out of white paper using the Gentle Bunny Die.

2BF3914C-E2E2-42A3-9B14-A23A8412E4F7_1_201_a

I die cut the smaller flower of the Layered Cosmos craft die out of white paper and colored it with Pan Pastels.  Each flower used 3 layers of flowers.  Added a matching butterfly using the Glade Butterfly die.  Colored the base using Copic markers.  Cut out the top layer out of gold paper from the Polished Foil pad and glued it on top.   Arrange the elements on the basket.

Now fill with your favorite Easter candy.  My basket will be filled with chocolate.

Pastel Crystal Border and Gerber Stems by Jean Okimoto

Lemon-yellow Gerber blossoms bloom along a bright pastel Crystal Border in mix of angles+curves, brights+white, glitter+foil...all on a short slimline card!  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a design ready to welcome Spring.

MemoryBoxCrystalBorder, MemoryBoxGerberStems, MemoryBoxFrostedGlitterPad, MemoryBoxLushGreenCollection, MemoryBoxPolishedFoilPad, PoppystampsDiamondSentimentsClearStampAndDieSet, FlowerDiecuts, PaperPiecing, GlitteredDiecuts, InkBlending, JeanOkimoto, DiecutBorders, VersaFineClair, ImpressCardsAndCrafts, StampsAndMemoriesHawaii

Cut a 6-¼" x 7-½" sheet of white cardstock.   Score it (horizontally) at ¾" and 4-¼".  Cut Crystal Border about ¾" to the right of the ¾" scoreline.  We're using just the cutout here. Cut a 3-½" x 6-¼" piece of smooth white cardstock.  Attach it to the ¾" tab to create the back of the card.

Cut Crystal Border again from the gold sheet in the 6x6 Polished Foil pad - we're using the delicate cutout.

Cut Crystal Border again from smooth white cardstock covered with blended inks in shades of pink, peach, teal, yellow and green - remove the delicate outline but keep the diecut pieces in the die for easy re-assembly later.  My inked paper stash somehow included at sheet of blended inks with sections that matched the pattern of the Crystal Border - it was a lucky day.

Attach a wide strip of lined doublestick tape behind the Crystal Border cutout - the adhesive will be visible in the cutout on the card front.  Save the paper tape liner.

Press the delicate gold Crystal Border onto the exposed adhesive in the cutout. Press it with the paper tape liner.

Attach the little pieces to the adhesive in each section - then press everything with the saved paper tape liner.

Cut just the tops of the Gerber Stems from the yellow 6x6 sheet in the Frosted Glitter Pad.  Cut the whole Gerber stems and small leafy stem from a green sheet in the Lush Green Collection.  Attach the yellow flower tops to the green flowers, slightly offset.  Attach the flowers to the card, then add the small leafy stem.

Stamp the greeting - from the new Poppystamps Diamond Sentiments Clear Stamp and Die Set - on white cardstock with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair.  Dry the ink and punch or cut a 1-¼" circle.  Cut another 1-¼" circle from a scrap of the inked paper and attach it - slightly offset - behind the greeting circle to add dimension.

Add ¼" dots punched from the chartreuse sheet in the Frosted Glitter Pad.

Our latest Collection's floral dies can be used in so many ways...diecut your favorite flowers, add colors, and arrange them on Spring cards for quick greetings.

I love the variety of flowers and leafs all the new dies from Memory Box's Spring 2021 release have.  Adding those together with the bold look of stamping words from the "Crystal Lingo" set from Birchtree Press on black card stock makes for a very striking design!  Here's one last look at my card for today:
