Create the look of a leather boot for the new Classic Large Ice Skate. It's plain, practical white vinyl - and it's as easy to diecut as cardstock. Hi, Jean Okimoto here on a very cold and windy weekend. It's perfect indoor cardmaking weather!
Attach adhesive label paper - or a sticker sheet - behind white vinyl and diecut Classic Large Ice Skate. The paper layer stabilizes and stiffens the vinyl. Cut another skate from heavy white cardstock and layer the diecuts for dimension. If your green thread or cord is floppy and/or fuzzy - pull it tightly over piece of beeswax. Or pull it through a wad of scrunched waxed paper to stiffen it and remove the little fuzzies. Stitch the boot and cut an extra piece of twine. Insert one end of the extra piece through the top hole and tie a bow. Arrange the loops then cut off the extra portion.
Cut the sole and heel portion from dark brown cardstock. Cut the blade from a gold 6x6 in the Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad.
Cut Poinsettia Watercolor Floral from the red Polished Foil 6x6 and a sheet from the Berry Red Collection. Cut the center pieces from the gold Glitzy Glitter Pad sheet. Assemble the poinsettia.
Diecut Forest Pine Branch from a 6x6 in the Lush Green Collection and cut it into three sections.
Cut the red and black Jolly Christmas plaid sheet with the 3" wide Nested Globes die. Cut a bright lime Lush Green 6x6 with the 2" wide globe die.
Stamp the greeting - from the new Sweet Christmas Clear Stamp Set - on a Lush Green 6x6 with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair. Dry the ink and cut the greeting with the 2-¾" x 1" Rectangle Basics die.
Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foamdots for the top half of the skate and for the greeting.
Add red Christmas Fairy Crystals. Cut an A6-sized layer of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Thanks for visiting - and for your patience w/ the blog's problems.
Have a great weekend...see you next week!

The new Pine Needle Frame creates a winter scene for a frosty snowgal and felt birds. The delicate frame, floral Garland print, Festive Glitter pad, Polished Foil and felt add dimension and textures to greet the season. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a framed window design featuring our Christmas '22 Collection.
Open the card for some surprises. What looks like a beanie from the outside is actually a tall stocking cap - and a felt bird stops by for a visit.
Cut Pine Needle Frame from white cardstock. The Tall Bundled Snowman set includes 3 snowmen - we're creating a stylish snowgal. Cut the front of a top-folded white A-2 card with the largest snowman die. Save the offcut - and cut it with the smallest snowman die. Add black cardstock scraps behind the eyes and buttons.
Color white cardstock with orange and brown markers and diecut the carrot nose and arms. Attach the arms behind the snowgal.
Cut pale blue cardstock from the Stormy Blue Collection with the medium-sized snowman. Attach it - through the window - to the interior of the card.
Cut the hat from the red Festive Glitter Pad sheet and the Polished Foil Pad sheet.
Cut the 2 top layers of the scarf from the Garland 6x6 floral print. Cut the 2 bottom layers from the red Festive Glitter Pad sheet. Trim the left edge of the glittered diecut to decrease the width about ⅛".
Attach hat and scarf diecuts to the snowgal.
The versatile new Layered Birds die can also create simple un-layered birds. Attach a sticker sheet or adhesive label paper to wool-blend red felt and cut Layered Birds. The paper backing stabilizes and felt and keeps adhesives from saturating the felt. Attach 3 birds to the frame and 1 inside the card.
Hope you're enjoying the holiday ideas from our Design Team as much as we enjoy sharing them with you! Thanks for visiting - see you on Friday!

A delicate pine needle frame surrounds a layered poinsettia on a detailed - but easy - holiday greeting. The intricate designs are simply diecut from a festive array of Memory Box 6x6 color collections, glitter cardstock, polished foils and mirror cardstock.
Hi, Jean Okimoto here with more great dies from our Christmas 2022 Collection. Balance the details of the new Poinsettia Watercolor Floral and Pine Needle Frame with a mix of reds and greens and a dash of gold accents.
Cut Pine Needle Frame from the light yellow-green Lush Green 6x6. Cut the extra needles from the chartreuse 6x6 in the Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad.
Cut the entire set of the Poinsettia Watercolor Floral from the dark red 6x6 in the Berry Red Collection. Cut it again from the red Polished Foil 6x6. You'll be able to create two layered poinsettias with the combination of the Berry Red and Polished Foil sheets.
Cut two sets of the tiny 3-piece centers from the gold sheet in the Glitzy Glitter Pad. Assemble the poisettias - chose 1 for this card and save the other for another project. It'll be ready when you need a quick card or gift tag in December!
Stamp the greeting - from the new Sweet Christmas Clear Stamp Set - on a chartreuse Lush Greeb 6x6 with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair.
Attach the diecuts to a green notecard. ⅛" wide lined doublestick tape is perfect for attaching the borders of the Pine Needle Frame. Attach the poinsettia with foamdots.
Add the greeting and gold Autumn Fairy Crystals.
Have fun creating variations of this basic design with our mix of solid 6x6's, and glittery, shimmery, sparkly artpapers. Thanks for visiting - see you again on Thursday!

Glitter and Polished Foil papers highlight the new Celeste Snowflake Trio. Scatter them over the new Celeste Plate background for a sweet and sparkly pastel winter scene. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a quick holiday card. The intricate designs and details are all easy to diecut - all you need to do is attach them!
Prep the beautiful Celeste Plate by briskly rubbing it with scrunched waxed paper to help release the tiny pieces. Cut it from white cardstock and attach it to a top-folded white A2 card.
Cut the Celeste Snowflake Trio from 6x6's in the Graceful Garden and Twinkling Jewel Glitter pads and the Polished Foil pad. It's easier to cut all 3 sizes from these 3 great artpapers - and you'll have 6 extras for future projects.
Stamp the greeting - from the new Sweet Christmas Clear Stamp Set - on white cardstock with Pearlescent Jade Brilliance. Peacock feathers Distress Oxide would match too. Dry the ink, then trim the cardstock with the 2-¼" x 3-½" Rectangle Basics die.
Attach the snowflakes and greeting - and turquoise Christmas Fairy Jewels. That's it!
Have fun designing with the Celeste Plate. Don't save it for Christmas designs - it looks great in orange on a black background for Halloween too!
