Merry and Bright Mini Slimline
by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome! It's Angie here today with this mini slimline holiday card featuring the new "Watercolor Poinsettia Floral die" with the previously released "Slimline Pinpoint Burst Plate" craft die 94557

After using the pinpoint die on white card, I took a red ink pad and put it directly onto the card stock and rubbed it all over - this made it look like it was red card stock with white pinpoint dots.  Here's a closer look at that part and of the actual poinsettia die.  It's a layering die with lots of pieces to help your flower look very realistic.  I used pink, yellow and green glitter paper from "Festive Glitter Pad" GP1006 and the  red "Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad" FP1003.

The strip under the sentiment is actually cut with one of the dies from "Wood Grain Planks" craft die 94565.   The sentiment "Merry and Bright" is from the newly released "Sweet Christmas" clear stamp set CL5283.  I heat embossed it on black card stock and then cut it into a square then rounded the corners.

Here's one last look at my card:

Hello with Foiling & Mirror Cardstock
by Angie Cimbalo

1wm

Hello and welcome! It's Angie here today with this shiny fun "hello" card.

I've used some new and older products, all from Memory Box.

Newly released items used:
94658 "Hello Daily Script"
MBF009 "Sunburst Hot Foil"

Other items:
GEM102 "Winter Fantasy Fairy Gem Stones"
30036 "Stitched Circle Layer Dies"
FP1002 "Vintage Pastel Mirror Paper Pad"
94621 "Pinpoint Daisy Background Die"
JWL005 "Christmas Fairy Jewels"

Here's another look at my card:

I used Gemini "Aurora" foil with the "Sunburst Hot Foil Die" on black card stock and then cut it our with a circle die. I cut a mat for it with the next larger die from silver mirror card stock. Next I cut the "hello" word die from black, silver, and peach mirror card stock, and the bigger shadow outline "hello" die from the black circle.

I pieced the "hello" parts to together, even inserting the little black foiled pieced around the "h" and the "o" so you can see the whole foiled sunburst. Next I took an A2 size piece of card stock and used the "Pinpoint Daisy Die" to get a fun dotted background for my card.

I added the circle element in the bottom right corner, cut the excess off and put left over pieces on the top and left side of the card. To finish my card I added large and small jewels to the ends of the rays in the foiled sunburst pattern with the sentiment in it.

Hugs

Hello everyone!  Today I have a fun background technique that I saw on Jennifer McGuire's YouTube channel.  It's not a quick technique, but I think the end result is very nice and worth the time.

I started by die cutting the flowers and leaves many times from colored cardstock.  I used a light and dark shade of the blue and green.  I used navy blue cardstock for my background.

IMG_1683

Next, comes the fun part!  I glued the large flowers onto the navy cardstock panel first, then filled in the background with leaves and smaller flowers.  Once I was happy with the background I placed it flower side down onto the Pinpoint Leaf Cover Plate Die and ran it through my die cut machine.  This presses the flowers and leaf die cuts into the paper and leaves Pinpoint Leaf image on the card.

I glued the card front to a white card base using foam tape.

Next, I die cut the word hugs from black cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock.   I die cut the shadow 3 times from white cardstock and glued them together to give the word more dimension.

The butterflies were die cut from vellum, and the sentiment was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock.

To finish the card I added some fairy crystals to the flower centers.

That's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome! It's Angie here today with this mini slimline "hello" card featuring some of the brand new release products. The three new dies I used are:

1) Hello Daily Script 94658
2) Sunburst Hot Foil Plate MBF009
3) Bouquet Blooms & Leaves die set 94652

I combined those with the Stitched Circle Layers dies 30036 and the Slim Pinpoint Burst die 94557. Here's another look at my card:

Here's how I made my card
1) Using foiling machine I foiled the sunburst in Turquoise foil
2) With the left over negative piece and foiled it on an separate piece of card stock.
3) Using the circle dies, cut the center from the negative foiled piece.
4) Trim down the main panel with the blue sunburst to fit on a mini slimline size card base
5) Run it through my die cutting machine with the Slim Pinpoint Burst die
6) Cut the flower from both the blue negative foil and a piece of silver negative foil, piece them together.
7) Add the circle die cut to the center of the main panel lining up the sunbursts
8) Pop up the flower in the center of the sunburst.
9) Cut the Hello shadow piece twice from white and once from the extra turquoise negative foil.
10) Cut the rest of the hello die from white card and piece it all together.
11) Add the hello die-cut to the bottom of the card.
12) Round the corners of the card.

Here's one final close up look at my card:

Such a Good Friend
by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome! It's Angie here today with this plaid mini slimline card for a dear friend. I used a lot of different products today to create this card.

First of all I used the "Nested Globes" die set - 94532 to do some partial die-cutting. I ran card stock through my die cutting machine with the bottom cutting line of the globe hanging off the edge of the cutting plates so it wouldn't cut through the paper. Then I measured how long I wanted the oval panel to be to fit on my card front, and turned the die around the other way, again with the bottom flat side cutting line hanging off the edge of my cutting plates. This created my pretty oval shape for the focal point of my card and sentiment placement.

The leaves were actually made with the Pinpoint Leaf Plate 94381. I took white card stock and ran it through my die cutting machine with the pinpoint die, then added Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon ink direct from the pad on to the paper. That left little tiny white dots where all the pinpoints were. Next, I fussy cut out a few of the leaves and added them around the edges of my oval panel. I also cut a black mat in the same globe shape to help offset the white from the plaid a little better.

Here's a closer look at my card:

The paper for the main background on the card came from the Madris Blue and Purple Plaid paper pad PP1014. I used the Layered Star Flower dies 94612, to cut my flower from peach, pink and orange Vintage Pastel Mirror Card Stock FP1002, and added a Pastel Jewels to the center of the flower and scattered on the front of the card.

The sentiment is from the Friends and Family stamp set CL5276, stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

Blooms for Mom
by Trina Pham

EB3DA926-1F4A-4649-8E50-473CBB3CB411

Hello everyone.  Mother’s Day is celebrated at different times of the year all over the world.  With my Mother’s Day in two weeks, I have a Mother’s Day card I created for my mother-in-law to share today.  It features the Riverbank Large Layered Blooms and Exquisite Leaf Set dies from the recent Spring release.

Because I wanted these large blooms to all fit on the card without crowding or hanging off-the-edge, this card is A6 size.  The card base and a layering piece are 4.5”x6.25” cut from heavy-weight white paper.  Using the partial die cutting technique with a long and narrow extended cutting pad, ran the layering piece through the die cutting machine twice with the Slim Pinpoint Heart Plate resulting in this.

Down the middle was a mess, but it didn’t matter as most of it will be covered up anyway.  For some texture, splattered it with diluted black gouache paint, then set aside to dry.

The flower layers and leaves were die cut next from white cardstock.  The leaves and flower centers were colored with Copic Sketch markers.

greens - YG61, YG63, YG67
white centers - C00, C1, C3

Ink blending with distress inks (DI) was used to color the flower layers.  Shaded Lilac DI was applied to the middle circumference area of each layer using a blender brush, while Villainous Potion DI was applied to the centers with a finger brush before putting them together.

“Mom” was die cut from white glitter paper using the shadow dies of the Bennett Alphabet die set for a chunkier greeting.  Glued the letters onto a 1” Twilight Purple paper strip, then added the drop shadow with a C3 Copic Sketch marker.  Assembled the card, popping the bottom right flower up with foam adhesives for additional dimension.  Applied clear shimmer on the flowers for more sparkle to finish.

And that does it for my card.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.
