Distressed Windham Collage and English Rose Bouquet...

Welcome to the third day of the Memory Box Spring 2015 Collection Blog Blitz! Pam here... I'm sure you are enjoying the show and have a lot on your wish list already!  One of you will be the lucky winner of the NEW English Rose Bouquet die I'm using today!

*Comment on this post and all the other blog blitz posts until Sunday, April 19 at 11:50 p.m. Eastern time, for lots of chances to win!*  Winners will be posted here on Monday, April 20th.

For my card today, I die cut one of the corners from the NEW Open Studio Distressed Windham Collage die set twice. Once in the upper left corner and then again in the bottom right corner of a 4 in. x 5 1/4 in. piece of parchment card-stock. I distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz paper distresser tool.  Then I inked most of the piece with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and a mini round ink blending tool. I spattered with Walnut ink and Metallic Gold spray ink.

I die cut the English Rose Bouquet die in Parchment card-stock and colored it with Copic Sketch markers. The flowers are the RV 90 series and the leaves are the BG 90 series.

I hope I can explain what I did without it being confusing.  Here goes...

* I leave the rose cut in the die after I cut it, this is one time I hope the pieces stick in the die (if any of the pieces come out I stick them back in the die)

* With the wide yellow frog tape (painters tape), I put pieces of the tape over the die cut card-stock  I left in the die (tape goes adhesive down on the wrong side of the card-stock and extends over the edges)

* Now I remove the die cut from the die and all the pieces stick to the frog tape

* Take the outline part of the die off the tape and color it

* The flower petals I left on the frog tape and colored

I know, this is getting long...do you want me to carry on?!  : )  ok!

* After coloring lay your outline die cut wrong side up and put mounting squares all over it in strategic places so they will be overlapping all the lines.  I cut mounting squares in half for this and yes, it takes a lot but it's worth it!

* Now turn your colored outline die cut right side up and you're ready to place all the colored petals into the rose outline.  The rose petals will all stick to the mounting squares.  YES!

*  Add mounting squares to your leaves and place it on the background piece

* Add mounting squares to the background piece and place it on an A2 Juniper notecard

Here's the inside!

I die cut the NEW Pennington Rose Border die in Juniper card-stock, glued it to the top and  stamped the words, happy birthday from the NEW Party Time stamp set

Thanks for joining me for Day 3 of the blog blitz... stay tuned!  More to come and be sure to check out and comment on all the posts all week, Monday through Friday!  You could be a winner!

Florina Corner meets Prim Poppy....

Hi everyone!  Pam here sharing a very Spring-like color card today!

I die cut the Florina Corner, Prim Poppy and Shaker Rectangle Frame dies in Black card-stock and glued them together.

I die cut one of the Studio Rectangle Layers dies in Pool card-stock and glued it to the back of the glued together black pieces.

I die cut the smaller Forest Hummingbird die in White card-stock and using a thin mounting square, adhered it over a flower.

Then I adhered the rectangle to a white A-2 card base.

Tied  hemp twine around and in a bow.  Added three enamel dots.

That's it!  Fabulous dies together and don't you love this pool color?!  I do!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Happy Easter to you and yours!

Spring Bunny hello...

I've noticed the dark chocolate bunnies showing up in the grocery store aisles! These two cute NEW bunnies are hiding out under the flowers in their own little miniature world!

I created the little scene on an A-2 size card with the following dies...

Shaker Rectangle Frames (30003)

Stitched Rectangle Layers (30009)

Oh Hello Again (30010)

Fanciful Fences (30035)

Springtime Bunnies (99109)

Florina Corner (99081)

Puffy Clouds (98172)

Alphabet Soup (98795)

Here's a close up of the bunnies... I drew in a little line to define the ears, a dot for the eyes and a little white gel pen on the eye.

Hoppy Spring!

hello!  Pam here with the NEW Tulip Bouquet die!  So pretty and ready for Spring!

Here's the steps to create this card...

  • *piece and glue the black cut into the white negative die cut space in the white card-base
  • *glue in the little white pieces you kept
  • *die cut the middle size butterflies from the NEW Leavenworth Butterfly Trio die in black card-stcok and NEW Cascadia Butterfly Trio die in Raspberry Moroccan Signature Pattern Paper
  • *glue them together and glue to card
  • *wrap the card with two rows of Black and White Bakers Twine, knot is under the rectangle
  • *die cut the smallest rectangle from the NEW Cross Stitched Frame Borders set in white card-stock
  • *stamp just the word 'hello' from the Hello Combo stamp (I used my stamp a ma jig to stamp it)
  • *adhere the rectangle over the knot with mounting squares

So glad you stopped by!  It's still cold with snow on the ground here in Iowa but that is going to change!  My computer dashboard says it'll be a high of 19˚ on Thursday but watch out Friday!  We're jumping to 46˚!  Almost bike riding weather! lol   I'll be back this afternoon with another Spring creation.

Make a Wish Candles...

Hi everyone!  Pam here with a birthday card using the NEW Make a Wish Candles die set.

I cut the largest candle dies in white cardstock and colored each one with Copic markers and the Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker.  I used V20, 22, 25, 28, BG11, 32, 34, B00, 01, 02, 04 for the candles,  YR02, 04, 07, 18, 23 for the outer flame and R02, 05, 08 for the center of the flame. I used a white pen on the embossed lines of the candles.

I made the big splats on a white A2 card-base with Wild Honey Distress Stain and colored them with Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker after they dried.

I cut 'happy' from the NEW Share the Happiness die set three times in black, glued them together with Tombow Mono Multi glue and colored it with Clear Wink Stella Brush Marker.

I mounted the candles to the card-base with 3L mounting squares and glued happy directly to the candles.

The birthday word came from the Happy Birthday Special Combo rubber stamp.  I stamped in Versafine black ink and trimmed around the word. Mounted it to the card with 3L mounting squares.

I love the splats behind the flame! Kinda like a birthday sparkler! lol  Have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Open Studio All About the Love and More...

Hi everyone!  Pam here to share another LOVE card with you on this pleasant Sunday in January!

I started out by cutting three of the NEW Open Studio Shaker Rectangle Frame dies and gluing them together with a narrow line of Tombow Mono Multi glue for the white frame.

Using the NEW Open Studio dies, A Lovely Smile, All About the Love and Amazing You dies I created the sentiment.

A heart from the NEW Open Studio set Cherub Hearts was trimmed a bit and glued to the frame.

Then I made the banner from the NEW Open Studio Banner Parade die set.  I love this set!  So many ways to be creative with it! Cut three times, layered together with mono multi glue and stuck on to the card with Scrapbook Adhesives mounting squares.

The hearts were all cut in red from the Banner Parade set also.

I edged the top folding A2 size kraft cardbase with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the ink blending tool.

That's it!  A CAS valentine to get you in the mood for 'love'! haha

Thanks for stopping by!

Blog Blitz, Detail Plates Video and a Card...

Hi everyone! Pam here... Welcome to the second Blog Blitz post for today!  I have a video and a card to share.  The giveaway die for my post is the NEW Open Studio All About Love Set.  I used one of the dies from the set on my card for the sentiment.

I LOVE all the heart dies in this release!  I used the Loving Hearts Arch and the Heart Waterfall for the heart between the two Love words.

I kept the leftover stenciled piece from die cutting the rectange on the card in this post, HERE, and trimmed off a sliver to glue on to the left side of my top fold A2 card base.

I die cut the Loving Hearts Arch twice, once in white and once in red.  I glued the white arch to the kraft card base and then glued in the red hearts with Tombow Mono Multi glue.

A sliver of red cardstock over where the arch and dot strip meet.  Easy to trim a strip on your paper trimmer and glue it on with a thin line of the same glue.

Then some red/white twine tied in a knot across the top fold! All my favorite colors and things!

Be sure to comment on this post and all the posts in the blog blitz for a chance to win dies!!!!

You have until Sunday, January 18th, 11:59 p.m. EST to get your commenting done. Winners will be posted here, Monday, January 19th.  GOOD LUCK!  I hope you win!
