Improvise...and build a shimmery butterfly with offcuts from the new Fanciful Gilded Frame.  The heart-shaped pieces from the top and bottom centers create a simple design to match the pressure-embossed background.  Hi, Jean here with a fast-Friday design for you.

Spritz both sides of textured light turquoise cardstock with a light mist of water.  Pressure-emboss the textured side with Fanciful Gilded Frame.  Dry the cardstock with a heat-tool if it's still damp.  Cut it with the 4-¼" x 5-½" Rectangle Basics die.  Attach it to a top-folded textured light turquoise A2 card.

Cut the top and bottom heart-shaped designs from the turquoise Rainbow Reflections 6x6. Cut the smoother side of light turquoise cardstock with the 2" x 3-¼" Rectangle Basics die.

Cut two matching Intricate Mini Butterflies from the gold Rainbow Reflections 6x6.

Cut the larger center section of the butterfly with the Birch Press Design Butterfly Basics die and the Rainbow Reflections gold 6x6.

Attach the rectangle and butterflies to the Fanciful Gilded Frame background.  Add turquoise Bright Jewels.

Hello everyone!  Today I have a Halloween card for you which features new products from the 2023 Fall Release.

I started by creating an ink blended background using Distress Oxide Inks.  Once I was happy with the blend, I spattered it with plain water to add some texture to the background.  Next, I stamped the greeting with black ink on the bottom portion of the background.

I used foam tape to adhere the background to a white card base.

Next, I die cut the Layered Witch Hat from black, gray and white cardstock.  I inked the edge of the gray shadow die cut with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink, and the hat band with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink, then glued them to the black witch hat.

The ghosts were die cut from white cardstock and glued to the card.  I used foam tape to adhere the witch hat over the ghosts.

Here's another Halloween card, setting the Boiling Cauldron on top of the Fanciful Gilded Frame.

• This is quite a simple design. 
• I cut the FANCIFUL GILDED FRAME 94660 from one of the plaids in MAGNOLIA PLAID PP1021 and added it to the front of a white note card using a glue pen.

• I then cut the BOILING CAULDRON 94691 multiple times from several shades of green card stock from LUSH GREEN COLLECTION SP1003 and several times more from black card stock.
• I assembled the cauldron using black on the bottom layer, two layers of green, and another layer of black on the top.
• I used two layers of the greens for the foamy bubbly frothy stuff and added it to the top of the cauldron.

• I added BRIGHT FAIRY JEWELS JWL003 in a lime-y green to the tops of the bubbles.
• I used foam dimensional dots to add the finished cauldron to the note card.
• I then scattered a few more of the Fairy Jewels on the front of the note card above the bubbles.

There are so many wonderful Memory Box papers that could be used to change up this design.  Imagine the frame in gold or purple mirror paper, the cauldron in black mirror paper, and the bubbles in a lime green or blue mirror paper.  Or use glitter paper or solid card stocks for various parts of this design.  Or mix and match various textures in your paper choices.  And there are Fairy Jewels, Fairy Crystals, Fairy Dewdrops, and Fairy Gemstones that can all add that extra sparkle.

The new Fanciful Gilded Frame sets the scene for a trio of Halloween icons.  Soft peachy orange shades mingle with swirls, flourishes, glittered and mirrored cardstock.  Hi, Jean here with another design featuring our Fall '23 Collection.

Prep Fanciful Gilded Frame by rubbing it briskly with scrunched waxed paper to help release the detailed design.  Cut it from greenish-gray cardstock.  

Cut the new Autumn Pumpkin from peachy orange cardstock. Use a screwpunch or rotating leather punch to add eyes and a nose.  Attach black cardstock behind the punched holes.

Cut the new Large Layered Witch Hat from black cardstock.  Cut the vertical trim from the black Glitzy Glitter Pad 6x6.  Cut the hatband from the pale peach Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad 6x6.  Cut the leaf and tendril from the lime green Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad 6x6.  

Cut the ghosts - from the Ghosts in the Forest die set - from textured white cardstock.  Cut scraps of the peachy orange cardstock and color the eye areas with a black marker.  Attach it behind the ghosts.

Attach the diecuts to a top-folded textured gray A2 card - use foam tape for the hat and the top of the ghosts' heads.  Add orange Bright Jewels.

Hi everyone.  I have a Halloween scene card featuring the Boiling Cauldron.  I use a nautical die, Kelp Collage, to create a cave.  I just love creating scenes and one of my favorite is Halloween scenes.

Cauldron:

Die cut the Boiling Cauldron from black card stock.  Use just the cauldron and add some Distress Crayon Brushed Pewter to the center and blend out with your finger.   Add the Brushed Pewter to the top of the handles and blend downward.  Die cut the brew from a light and dark green Graceful Garden paper pad.  Adhere the lighter bubbling brew to the inside of the edge brew from the darker green.  Adhere to the top of the cauldron.

Cave Frame:

Trim the black Glitzy Glitter paper to A2.  Die cut the Kelp Collage in the center.  Trim off the kelp.  Add black foam tape around to the back of the frame.

Witch:

Die cut the Poppy Stamps Spellcaster Witch from black card stock.  Use the Distress Crayon Bubbling Cauldron to the face and arm.  Blending with your finger.  Die cut the Spellcaster Witch from purple Glitzy Glitter paper.  Trim off the hat, shoes, and dress and adhere to the black card die cut.

Sentiment:

Die cut the bottom of the Boo Posh Script from the matching green glitter paper.  Die cut the top die from black paper.  Adhere the die cut together.  Rub on little the Distress Crayon Bubbling Cauldron to the black sentiment and blend with your finger.

Background:

Ink blend a white A2 size card base starting with Distress Oxide Twisted Citron apply heavy ink in the center.  Then bland the outside edge with Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves.  

Assembly:

Adhere the background to a white A2 size card base.  Adhere the cave frame.  Then adhere the cauldron to the bottom center and the sentiment to the upper left of the inside of the cave.  Adhere the witch to the bottom left side and trim off the excess.  Add the light green Bright Fairy Jewels and Christmas Fairy Crystals to the top bubbles of the brew.  Add the purple and green from both packs in the holes around the cave walls.

Ghost buddies share the new Large Layered Witch Hat beside a windblown, tumbled cluster of Layered Greenery Stems.  Glitzy Glitter Pad and Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad diecuts -  and purple Autumn Fairy Crystals - brighten this fall scene.  Hi, Jean here with an un-scary design for Halloween.

Cut Layered Greenery Stems from gray cardstock and the black Glitzy Glitter Pad 6x6.  Pair the gray and glittered stems.

Cut the ghosts - from the Ghosts in the Forest set - from White Woodgrain paper (cardstock) and black cardstock.  I cut them from different sections of the woodgrain cardstock for contrasting textures.  Attach a scrap of black cardstock behind their faces.  Layer the black ghosts behind the white ones for dimension and contrast.

Cut Large Layered Witch Hat from black cardstock.  Cut the vertical trim from the Glitzy Glitter Pad black 6x6.  Cut the hatband from the orange Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Assemble the hat.

Cut the 2" wide Nested Globes from a Sunny Orange Collection 6x6.

Attach the diecuts to a top-folded 5-¼" square card.  Square cards require extra postage and handling - but some designs just look better on a square.

Add purple Autumn Fairy Crystals for a sparkly contrast.  Cut a 5-¼" square of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with this pretty floral card featuring the new "Gracious Floral" collection of products.

 

To make my card I first used a brayer to added Distress Ink to the new 3D embossing folder then embossed a piece of white card stock.  I put the ink on the debossed side, so the floral image came out mostly white.  I cleaned my embossing folder and then embossed another plain white piece of card stock.  Next, I used the stencils and ink daubers to color the embossed image on the plain white card stock with Distress Inks.  Once I was happy with the colors, I took the large coordinating die from the stamp set and cut out the colored floral and added it to the top of the first one, covering up the mostly white flower.  

 

The sentiment is a stamp and die in the Gracious Floral set and I heat embossed it in white on black card stock and used the die to cut it out.

Hello everyone.  Today I have a slimline (SL) pumpkin stack Halloween card featuring the Autumn Pumpkin die from the current 2023 Fall release.

 

The pumpkins were die cut out of three gradient orange papers from the Sunny Orange paper pack.  Added details to them using Copic Sketch markers YR02, YR24 and YR27.  The pumpkins to the left of the card in the photo above show the before and after the added details.  The happy face (I’m not a fan of scary or mean or gory looking faces) was created with the Shining Star and Circle Basics die sets.  Started by die cutting black cardstock using the largest star die.

 

 

Die cut the top piece with a circle die to form the mouth (pictured left below).  Die cut the other piece with the star die for an eye (pictured right below).  Repeated the process for the second eye.  The nose is pretty straight forward and was also die cut out with the star die.

The witch hat was die cut from black, pitch black and black glitter papers.  Assembled the pumpkin stack, then added shading with YR24/27 and E09 Copic Sketch markers under the hat and pumpkins.

 

 

Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink on the bottom two pumpkins, then added drop highlights with a white gel pen.

 

 

The background panel is Bristol paper die cut out with the largest Slim Basic Rectangle die.  A circle moon mask was then die cut from masking paper and adhered off-the-edge at the top before ink blending Peacock Feathers and Black Soot distress inks (DI).  For some texture and a spooky feel, lightly dragged Black Soot DI cube down the length of the panel.  Splattered with diluted black gouache paint for even more texture.

 

Removed the moon mask and applied black ink remaining on the blender brush to give the moon texture/dimension.  Ink smooshed a scrap piece of mixed media paper with orange/brown/black dye inks to die cut the leaves from.  Assembled the card onto a split black/white 3.75”x8.75” slimline card base to finish.

The popular Backyard Wren wears the new Large Layered Witch Hat on a Halloween card today.  The new Fanciful Gilded Frame die   creates a great embossed background.  Hi, Jean here with a quirky mix of colors, textures and shapes.  Halloween somehow lets us mix mint and olive greens, orange, black, glitter and mirror cardstock - all on one card!

Cut a rectangle of olive cardstock that's slightly larger than an A2 card.  Cut a layer of heavy plastic (example: a quart or gallon Ziploc bag) to place between the Fanciful Gilded Frame and the rectangle.  Spritz both sides of the rectangle with a light mist of water.  Cover it with the plastic layer, then the die - the plastic layer cushions the cardstock and keeps it from cracking.  Add the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine.  Run it through the machine.  Dry it with the heat tool if it's still slightly damp.  Let it cool, then trim it with the largest A2 Rectangle Frames Set die.

Cut olive cardstock with the 2-¼" wide Curved Cap Pinpoint Layers die.

Cut Large Layered Witch Hat from black cardstock.  Cut the vertical trim from the black Glitzy Glitter Pad 6s6.  Cut the hat band from the mint green Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Assemble the hat.

Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to orange wool-blend felt.  Cut Backyard Wren and the head overlay.  The paper backing stabilizes the felt and keeps adhesives from saturating it.  Cut the beak piece from yellow cardstock.  Color the eye area with a black marker.  Attach it behind the head.

Cut the wings from the orange Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Assemble the wren.

Stamp the greeting - from the Halloween Pumpkin Clear Stamp and Die Set - on a Sunny Orange Collection 6x6 sheet with Onyx Black VersaFine.  Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.  Cut it with one end of the stamp set's greeting die.  Rotate the die and trim the excess cardstock.

Attach the diecuts to a top-folded olive A2 card - use foam tape for the right side of the greeting and the ends of the hat.  Add Clear Jewels.

Pressure-embossing the background, then trimming it to the A2 dimensions gives it a smooth inlaid look - like the opposite of 3D embossing.

Cool evenings and not-too-hot days along with new materials from Memory Box make it easier to create fall cards in August.  I cut dies multiple times and stacked them for dimension to create this view of the Witch's Pumpkin Patch.

• I started with a plain white note card and added LAYERED GREENERY STEMS 94694 cut from a bright green paper from the LUSH COLLECTION SP1003 and again from a green plaid from MAGNOLIA PLAID PP1021.
• I added them to the lower left and staggered them a bit to show off both papers.

• Next I cut the AUTUMN PUMPKIN 94690 twice from an orange card stock in the SUNNY ORANGE COLLECTION SP 1002 which I layered together and then I added it again cut from a coral plaid from MADRAS PLAID CORAL AND GREEN PP1013.
• I added the pumpkin to the lower right corner.

• Next I cut the LARGE LAYERED WITCH HAT 94693 three times from black card stock. 
• I glued the base hats together.
• Then I glued all three layers of the accent piece to the left side of the hat and added the three layers of the hat band.

• I tucked the tendril from the pumpkin under the hat band and added two of the layered leaves to the hat band as well.
• I glued the hat to the pumpkin at an angle.
• I placed the extra leaf among the stems.

• I used a black pen to write "The Witch's Pumpkin Patch" on a scrap of orange card stock which I trimmed and mounted on a piece of black card stock and then trimmed that, too, before adding it to the card at a bit of an angle.

So much dimension on this card!  Fun!!!
