Glitter and Shine Pumpkin Card
by Anne Thompson

This month's blog challenge is all about orange.  This card uses orange mirror paper, orange glitter paper, and an orange plaid paper (as well as some green mirror paper).  It's quite difficult to photograph all of those shiny textures and have it look right, but here's an angle shot that is the best out of twenty or so pictures I took.

0-2 (1)-ink

to make this card

  • start with a white note card
  • cover the front of the card with orange mirror paper from RAINBOW REFLECTIONS MIRROR PAD PP1003
  • die cut the CELESTE PLATE 94699 with green mirror paper from the RAINBOW REFLECTIONS MIRROR PAD PP1003
  • add the Celeste Plate to the front of the note card using a glue pen around the outside edges

0-4 (1)-ink

  • die cut the AUTUMN PUMPKIN 94690 from a scrap of the orange mirror paper for leaves, a scrap of the green mirror paper for the stem, and a piece of orange glitter paper from GLITZY GLITTER PAD GP1007 for the pumpkin itself
  • assemble the pumpkin with the stem and leaves attached...I used Glue Dots

0-3 (1)-ink (1)

  • make a base panel for the pumpkin from a scrap of an orange plaid paper (this one from the Garden Folly papers was left from a pumpkin I made on my last card) just a bit larger than the pumpkin and mount it on a scrap of the orange glitter paper and trim that to be just a tiny bit larger than the plaid piece...I found it best to use Scor-Tape to adhere the plaid paper to the glitter paper
  • pop the pumpkin onto the panel using dimensional foam
  • add this panel at an angle to the front of the notecard
  • and there's still plenty of room on the front to add an appropriate sentiment

Plenty of shadow across the front of the card in this outdoor photo..

I do love all the textures and shine on this card!  And it's another one that I could send any time this fall.  It's certainly starting to feel like fall here in Maine--cooler nights and the leaves have begun changing color further north.

Happy Crafting!  And enter our Crazy for Orange blog contest for September--the information is here.

The Pumpkin Patch
by Anne Thompson

Here's a card you can use any time this fall.  This Pumpkin Patch features the Autumn Pumpkin 94690 multiple times and the Fanciful Gilded Frame 94660 which looks to me like a vine-y garden space.

IMG-2039 (1)-ink

To make this card, start with a white note card.

Add a light green plaid paper from the MAGNOLIA PLAID PP1021 6X6 paper pad cut to fit the front of the note card.

Die cut the FANCIFUL GILDED FRAME 94660 from a dark green card stock.

Add this frame to the front of the card using a glue pen.

IMG-2032 (1)-ink

Die cut the AUTUMN PUMPKIN 94690 three times from an orange paper and three times from a bight green paper, both in the RAINBOW REFLECTIONS MIRROR PAD PP1003.

Assemble the pumpkins, using the green stems and leaves with the orange pumpkins.

IMG-2035 (1)-ink

Reorient the card so it folds at the top.

Add the three pumpkins using dimensional foam of varying thicknesses, so the one on the left is the flattest and the center one pops up more than the others.  Add any extra green leaves among the vines.

IMG-2040 (1)-ink

This cute card would be perfect for any fall occasion with an appropriate sentiment tucked inside.  Love these newest products from Memory Box!  Think about how you might combine the new with other Memory Box stamps, dies, stencils, and embossing folders you already have or ones that are still available to purchase from previous collections.  Try other color combinations and textures--glossy mirror paper, glitter paper, card stock, and printed papers from Memory Box.  And there are idea books on the website for even more inspiration.

Happy Crafting!

Autumn Pumpkin Cards
by Angie Cimbalo

Turq main cloase

Hello!  Today I have two cards made with the newly released "Autumn Pumpkin" and "Layered Greenery Stem" dies sets from Memory Box.

My first card is in non-traditional fall colors as I made this card using some papers in my favorite shades.  I used "Delicate Pastel Glitter" paper pad along with the "Rainbow Reflections Mirror" paper pad and cut both sets of dies from the turquoise colors.  The greenery stems are cut so you can layer a dark and light on the right side or the left depending on the die.  This gives them lots of dimension.  Here's another look:

Turq main cloase

I didn't have the exact ink color to stamp the sentiment so I double stamped it using a green and a blue ink from my stash to get it as close as I could.  The sentiment is from a clear stamps set called "Halloween Pumpkins" also from Memory Box.  I finished this card by adding a few matching gems.  Here's one last look:

Turq main cloase

Now for my 2nd card I used a more traditional color palette.  This time I used the following paper pads:
"Rainbow Reflections"
"Sunny Days" and
"Lush Green"

I also used the Hot Foil plate "Rectangle Double Border" as a die to cut the thin black border frame.

Orange 2

I used both larger and smaller gems and jewels in fall colors and stamped the sentiment from the same "Halloween Pumpkins" stamp set in black ink.  Here's a closer look.

Orange 2

I layered the stem and leaves with the regular green card stock and the mirror card stock to give a cool effect.  Here's one last look.

Orange 2

I hope you like my cards for today and will check out this release.  There's some adorable dies you can use for fall and Halloween cards as well as everyday cards too.

Thanks for stopping by!

Magnolia Buds Pop-Up Card
by Trina Pham

IMG_0977

Hello everyone.  Today I am sharing a floral bouquet pop-up card featuring the Magnolia Bud Trio die from the April 2023 Magnolia collection.  Removing the belly band reveals the fun surprise inside! šŸ¤—

IMG_0978

Started with two side folding A2 size card bases made from black cardstock.  Trimmed one down about 1/8ā€ smaller, then using a ruler and a white gel pen, marked off the bouquet details as follows.

IMG_0974

The dot is the point of the bottom of the bouquet wrap while the lines are the top of the wrap and shelves for attaching the buds and leaves. Cut along the lines with scissors and scored from the end point of the longest line to the dot.  Fold as follows.

IMG_0975

Opened it up and mountain fold all sections to form the bouquet base.

IMG_0976

Die cut the Magnolia Bud Trio from white cardstock and colored the buds with a finger brush and Wilted Violet distress ink.  Die cut the leaves with the Magnolia Leaf Branch die and colored the leaves with YG61/63/67 Copic Sketch markers.  Glued the buds and leaves to form the bouquet, checking each time to ensure placement does not impede folding.  Magnolia Plaid paper was used for the wrap

IMG_0979

Created the belly band from black cardstock and the same plaid paper to keep the card cohesive.  The For You Posh Script sentiment was in my stash.  It was die cut from gold Vintage Pastel Mirror paper and mounted on its black shadow.

IMG_0982

Didnā€™t want the few unused buds and left over branch to go to waste, so added them to the belly band afterwards.  Finished off with some clear shimmer on the buds for some sparkle.

update: a quick video of it can be seen over on my IG account HERE.   Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Magnolia Wreath
by Trina Pham

IMG_0743

Hello there.  I have a simple magnolia wreath card to share today made with the Curved Magnolia Branch die.  This started out as a Motherā€™s Day card for my mom, but remembered afterwards that I had already made one for her! šŸ˜†   So now sheā€™ll get this next month for her birthday. šŸ˜‚

The flowers and foliage were die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock and coloured with Copic Sketch markers.  I stuck to pink and grey to keep in line with the card for my MIL, except a lighter palette was used.

Copic markers used:
magnolias - R81, R83, R85
leaves - C2, C3, C5, C6

IMG_0744

The A2 size white woodgrain panel was scored horizontally at every inch.  The Love You Posh Script sentiment was die cut from silver Vintage Pastel Mirror paper and twice from thick white paper.  Adhered the mirror die cut on the front of its vellum shadow and the two white ones behind the vellum to give it a lift for a floating effect.  Assembled the card onto a white card base, then added clear shimmer to the magnolias for some sparkle to finish,

IMG_0745

Before I go, I want to wish my mom, and all the moms who are celebrating tomorrow, a happy Motherā€™s Day.  Hope you all have a fabulous day.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Collage Die Encouragement Card
by Angie Cimbalo

Collage 1

Hello it's Angie here today with a encouragement card featuring the new stackable collage dies released in February.  My card features these collage dies:

94628 Distant Sun Collage
94627 Cloudy Moon Collage
94626 Cloudy Sun Collage

I inked the edges around the clouds and after putting them together added them to a piece of mirror card stock.

The sentiment is from Cl5276 Friends and Family stamp set and mirror paper for the mat is from the FP1103 Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad.  I also used the new 94672 A2 Rectangle Frames dies to cut all the rectangles for my card.

The background night sky was made with alcohol inks, including some gold metallic alcohol ink.  The sentiment from the stamp set was heat embossed on the front panel of the card.  Here's a closer look:

Collage close

Memory Box has lots of Collage dies like these that are really fun to put together, but you can also use them separately which makes them very versatile.

I hope you like my card for today!  Be sure to come back often to see all the inspiration on the blog from the team!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
