The Spirit of Christmas
by Michelle Bala

26

Hello there! Michelle here, sharing a non traditional Christmas wreath. I used the stamp set Berry Wreath and the coordinating die. I stamped the wreath using Memento Ink in desert sand and used a no line coloring technique.  I used Copic Markers to color in shades B21, B23, B39, BV04 (blue shaded berries); BG11, BG23, BG75, BV20 (aqua shaded berries); W2, W5, BG96, BG99 (leaves). Die cut after coloring is complete.
26

Trim and score a card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I trimmed a piece of black gingham pattern paper from Christmas Plaid 6x6 paper pad.  Adhere to the card base. Situate the wreath and mark where you want to trim the excess. Also mark where you want your sentiment.
26

Emboss the sentiment with gold powder. Adhere the wreath with foam tape. For a finishing touch I splattered some gold paint, scattered some sequins,  and added a twine bow with bells.

Thanks for stopping by for a peek!

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Ombre Wishes
by Michelle Bala

40

Hello there! Michelle here, sharing an ombre colored card. I used the single branch from Berry Wreath Clear Stamp and Die Set,
40

I stamped the branch with black ink onto Copic Friendly paper several times. I used Copic Markers in shades E99, E09, E49. I lay down a layer of E99 fist.
40

Next, I add the darkerst shade, E49, at the base of each leaf.
40

Next, I add the medium shade in the middle of the leaves blending with the darkest shade.
40

Next, go back to the lightest shade E99 and blend the tips of the leaves with the medium shade. Sometimes I will repeat the process on each leaf.

36

Die cut each branch and use foam adhesive to adhere to the card base.
36

Use the same Copic Markers and blend onto paper. I embossed the sentiments onto the ink blended paper.
36

Arrange and adhere the branches. Trim the pieces that hang off the card. Adhere the sentiments.36

For a finishing touch add some sequins and gems.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hope you enjoyed this card!

Spooky Cute Haunted House
by Michelle Bala

31

Hello there! Michelle here, sharing a hauntingly cute card! I used two of the newest layer dies, Haunted Entrance Dome Layer Die and Haunted House Dome Layer Die.  I die cut the dome layers with Copic friendly paper and colored the scene with Copic Markers.

32

When assembling the dome layers, fold the scored edges so the flap of the top scene folds back and the flap of the back scene folds forward.  Adhere together at the bottom flaps and at the top of the dome.  Set aside to dry.  When dry, I tied a bow with bakers twine through the top slot.

30

I trimmed a piece of gray cardstock and adhered to a card base than inked up the edges with chipped sapphire distress oxide ink. Than I added a few splatters of black paint. Allow to dry. Trim a piece of vellum paper and stamp the sentiment. I used the stamp set Halloween Pumpkin.

Copic shades: E25, E27, E29; V15, V17, V09, BV08; C1, C4, C6; YG17, YG95; YR04, YR07, R08

33

I assembled the card and finished it off with a few scattered sequins.

Thanks for peeking!!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Thankful
by Michelle Bala

Happy Friday! Michelle here, sharing my version of watercoloring! I used a whole bunch of distress oxide inks and colored pencils.

First I stamped the pumpkin onto Open Studio Watercolor Paper with waterproof black ink, like InkOn3 black out ink. After the ink sets, I use washi tape to secure it to a flat surface. Next, I brush some water all over the paper. Not too much. I do not saturate the paper. Now I grab my distress oxide inks and start watercoloring. I smoosh my ink pad onto a non porous surface like a piece of plastic. Than I add some drops of water and mix up the color. Using a small paint brush, apply your color.

Memory Box

I used shades dried marigold, spiced marmalade, ripe persimmon, barn door, squeezed lemonade, crushed olive, mowed lawn, and vintage photo. This is a slow process. Add a color at a time, a layer at a time.  After the inks and paper dry I added some shading with colored pencils.  The next step is a little tricky. I placed the panel in my Mini Misti so I can get perfect placement for heat embossing. I used gold embossing powder.

26

Next,, I trimmed the panel slightly smaller than my A2 card base. I added some gold paint splatters. I adhered the pumpkin panel onto a gray cardstock base with foam tape.
26

Lastly, I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and added a few gems.

Thanks for taking a peek! Hope you give this watercoloring technique a try!

I Love Fall Most of All
by Michelle Bala

30

Hey there, Michelle here! The newest Christmas Release has to be my  favorite! Especially this stamp set, Harvest Love and Kindness. There is something beautiful about warming fall tones. I used colored pencils to add color.
30

First I embossed the autumn cluster with white embossing powder than I shaded with colored pencils. I used the darker shades first, medium than lightest. After the coloring is complete I die cut the cluster. Next, I used Wrapped Stitch Rectangles Die and die cut the base panel. I embossed the sentiment with copper embossing powder.
30

I adhered the die cut kraft panel onto a card base. Than I layered the die cut leaf cluster. Lastly, I splattered some white and gold paint and added some gems.

Thanks for stopping by!

Let it Snow
by Michelle Bala

34

Hello there! Michelle here. Memory Box Co has designed a series of stitch-able dies....Have you seen them? I wanted to show off this adorable snowman, unstitched. I used Memory Box's watercolor paper to die cut the snowman because I love the texture and it's a perfect shade of off -white and matches perfectly with the pattren paper pad. It comes with a separate die for the face and scarf.
34

I used the same pattern paper as the background to die cut the scarf and some scraps of orange and black cardstock to die cut the face. I die cut Pointy Pine Needle Sprigs and used Copic markers in shades G46, and G29 to color.
34

I embossed the sentiment from one of the newest stamp sets, Spirit of Christmas.

Hope you enjoyed this post!  Have a great week!

Peace and Good Will
by Michelle Bala

1

Hello there! Michelle here. I've been creating a lot of Christmas cards using Memory Box's newest release! I really love this new die, Tall Fir Collage. It coordinates with with the rest of the fir collage dies, but I like using it alone too! I centered the die on kraft cardstock than colored the scene with Copic Markers. I used shades G29, G46, YG23.  I adhered the die cut panel to a white card base with foam tape.
1

Next, I die cut Pointy Pine Needle Sprigs and used the same shades as the fir trees but I also included E27, and E29.  I adhered them to the kraft panel and added a twine bow and some red sequins. I splattered white paint onto the card.
1

Next, I die cut the deer from Snowglobe Backer Die. I used shades E21, E23, E25, E27, E29, W00, and W1.  Isn't he adorable! I embossed the sentiment from an earlier released stamp set, Tidings Wreath Clear Stamp Set. I adhered the deer and sentiments to the kraft panel.

A Winter Scene
by Michelle Bala

30

Hello there! Michelle here! Today I am sharing an easy winter scene using two of the newest Collage Dies,  Lamplight Tree Collage Die and Tall Fir Collage Die.  Here are some easy tips when using the collage dies:

*Trim each panel the same size

*Secure the die directly to the center of the panel... this will ensure that the patterns will line up correctly

After I die cut each panel I chose some Copic Markers to add some color. For the trees I used G24, G28 and E25, E27.  For the lamp post I used C7, C10.For the drifting cloud and snow shadows I used BV20 and colorless blender.
31

My background panel is piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I inked it up with some distress oxide inks in shades fossilized amber, tumbled glass and chipped sapphire. Than I splattered some white paint.

I adhered the die cut panels with foam tape. I die cut the sentiment with Special  Merry Christmas Die.  For a finishing touch I added some Dew Drop Glitter Glue to the "snowy parts".

Thanks for stopping by!
