Window cutouts, layered diecuts and the new Creepy Cabin create a Halloween slimline with little ghostly accents. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with two great new designs from our Fall 2022 Collection. There's a lot happening on this card - here's my attempt to prettify (is that a word?) Halloween in soft peachy colors.
Cut, score and fold a black slimline card (3-⅝" x 8-½"). Prep the new Creepy Cabin die by rubbing it briskly with scrunched wax paper to help release the tiny and detailed pieces. Cut the card with Creepy Cabin and the solid Happy Halloween Posh Script background die. Trim the 2 pointy pieces from the sides of the 'A' to make it easier to open and close the card.
Pressure-emboss the greeting background with the detailed Happy Halloween Posh Script die. Cut the detailed greeting from a darker shade of peach cardstock in the Berry Red Collection. Assemble the greeting.
Diecut a 3" x 8" rectangle of light peach cardstock with the Rectangle Basics die. Attach it to the inside of the card.
Cut the ghosts - from the Haunted Entrance Dome Layer Set - from heavy white cardstock. Define the eyes using a skewer or pushpin. Attach a scrap of the bright orange 6x6 from the Twinkling Jewel Glitter Pad behind the mouth.
Cut the small pumpkins from the Haunted Entrance Dome Layer with the dark orange 6x6 from the Twinkling Jewel Glitter Pad.
Add turquoise Christmas Fairy Dewdrops. Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with this fun spooky Halloween card featuring some goodies that were just released from Memory Box!
Here's a closer look at my card:
On my card for today, I am featuring the new:
"Ghosts in the Forest" 94622
"Boo Posh Script" word die 94587
I also used some:
JWL005 Christmas Fairy Jewels
Here's a close up look from the left side:
The colorful background is Yupo paper with alcohol inks and blending solution. It's so much fun to create with because you never know how it is going to turn out and you can keep adding more and using a blower to move it around until you like what you have. That's exactly what I did.
I used some blues and greens and then added gold metallic accents at the end. Here's one more close up look at that background.
First I cut the forest background die from white card. It cuts the design out of the middle of your piece of card stock so after you cut it, you can use it to make whatever size card you'd like to.
I die cut all the "Ghosts in the Forest" dies from white and then cut the ghosts from black too so I could layer them. I used 2 black and one white for each ghost, just off-setting them a bit so the white part had a black outline. This way they show up better and have more definition with that crazy wild background I made! The word die was cut as follows:
Word outline/shadow die - cut 4 black and one white, offset a little for each layer
Thin word die -cut from a left over piece of the alcohol ink paper and stack on top
I matted the main panel on a slightly bigger black one and then onto an A2 size card. (4.25" by 5.5")
Lastly I added the matching gems on the card front and for the ghost's eyes.
Here's one last look:
I hope you enjoyed my card for today! I had so much fun creating it!

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you next time!
It's a great day for a new release...meet our Fall 2022 Collection of fun, whimsical seasonal designs for Halloween! Great contemporary die designs to mix, match and layer on cards, layouts, calendars, planners and treat wrappers for the little tricksters. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with the first of many Design Team ideas for Halloween. View the collection here.
Add the versatile new Fancy Globe Gate to your collection of globe dies - it looks great cut from our Glossy Black Cardstock and the interactive detailed panels swing open to welcome ghosts, goblins and black cats.
Prep the Fancy Gate Globe by rubbing it briskly with a piece of scrunched wax paper to help remove the delicate offcuts. Cut the gate from Memory Box Black Glossy Paper (it's actually cardstock). Finger-press the doors open at the sides. Tie a gold cord at the top and curl the ends with the side of a bonefolder or the plastic burnishing tool.
Cut the ghosts - from the new Ghosts in the Forest set - from heavy white cardstock. Attach scraps of black cardstock behind their faces.
Cut the Boo Posh Script background from black cardstock. Pressure-emboss it with the detailed coordinating top layer. Cut the top layer from the Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad's dark orange sheet. Assemble the greeting.
Cut the floral print from the Garland 6x6 pack with the largest Rectangle Bascis die. Attach it to a side-folded yellow card. Attach the diecuts - use foamdots for the ghosts. Add orange Open Studio Autumn Fairy Jewels.
We don't chose our dies because of their offcuts - but the very cool offcut of the Fancy Gate Globe is just waiting to be featured on a card of its own. That will be another fall design.
Thanks for visiting the blog - hope we'll inspire you to create a stash of fun Halloween and fall designs to surprise those who weren't expecting a card until December.
