Cozy Frame Polar Bear Card by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  I have a card featuring the Celeste Plate and Rectangle Basic to create a custom frame for the Layered Polar Bear.

Frame:

Die cut the Celeste Plate from the medium purple blue paper from the Stormy Blue paper pack.  Die cut a rectangle from the center using the 9 largest die from the Rectangle Basic Set.  Adhere to a A2 card base of the same color paper.  Die cut the same size rectangle from the center.  Die cut a frame using the same rectangle die and 1 size larger.  Adhere around the center cut out.  Adhere the frame using foam tape to the lightest purple blue from the Stormy Blue paper pad.

Bear:

Die cut the largest die cut from the Layered Polar Bear from the same light purple blue paper from Stormy Blue paper pad.  Die cut the rest of the dies from heavy white card stock.  Adhere a piece of black paper to the back of the eyes and nose.  Adhere the die cuts together using the front image as a guide.  Die cut the scarf from the Tap; Bundled Snowman die set from a green/blue  paper from the Woodsy Plaid pad.  Adhere to the polar bear.

Sentiment:

Stamp warm wishes from the Typewriter Holiday Elements with Freesia Fresh Ink on white card stock.  Trim down.

Assembly:

Adhere the frame and card base to a A2 white card.  Adhere the polar bear to the center.  Add clear Fairy Jewels around the polar bear.  Adhere the sentiment to the lower left side of the card.  Stamp the Wishing you a Christmas filled with Joy sentiment from the Sweet Christmas clear stamp set with the same Freesia Fresh Ink.

Create a Card Front from a Frame by Jean Okimoto

 

 

Add extra leaves to the center of the Exquisite Leaf Frame and create a botanical background for flowers from our latest releases.  The diecuts from the Exquisite Leaf Set fill the frame and surround the layered blossoms.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with another easy way to get more from your Memory Box dies.

Cut Exquisite Leaf Frame from white cardstock and attach it to a side-folded white A2 card.

Cut additional leaves from Exquisite Leaf Set - cut 2 of the single leaf.  Trim the bottom right leaf from the 4-leaf diecut.  Attach the extra leaves to the background - the violet asterisks in the photo mark the locations for the added diecuts.  

Cut the flowers from three shades of Vibrant Violet 6x6 pack with the Layered Cosmos and Poppystamps Petite Blooms Flower Set.    Mix and match the layers and centers.  

Stamp the greeting - from the Signature Greetings Clear Stamp and Die Set - on white cardstock with Purple Delight VersaFine Clair.  Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.  Cut the cardstock with the 2" x 3-¼" Rectangle Basics die.  Attach it to the card.  Add the flowers and green Christmas Fairy Jewels.

Ruffled Blooms and Exquisite Leaf Set by Jean Okimoto

 

Send a fresh garden greeting with Ruffled Blooms and Exquisite Leaf Set layered over a trellis-y frame from Poppystamps.  Hi, Jean Okimoto  here with a spring design that's easy and versatile - just pick your favorite shades from our 6x6 Collections of 108 coordinating colors.

Cut Ruffled Blooms from different colors in the Vibrant Violet Collection.  I wasn't sure which blossoms and colors I'd use - so I cut all 4 designs, then saved the extras for another day.  Attach the oval centers to the 3 largest flowers.  Color all of the centers using a small dauber or cotton swab and Sunflower Yellow Brilliance.  The resulting color varies when Sunflower Yellow is layered over the different shades of cardstock.

Cut the Exquisite Leaf Set pieces from the Lush Green Collection.

Cut white cardstock with the 2-¾" Square Basics die.  Adding a matching solid background helps the flowers stand out more.

Cut the Poppystamps Penelope Pinpoint Frame from white cardstock.  This versatile A2-sized die looks great layered over a contrasting card too.  I chose a larger card to add a greeting.

Stamp the greeting - from the Open  Studio Friends and Family Clear Stamp Set - on a Lush Green sheet with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair.  Dry the ink, then cut the greeting block with a 1-¼" Square Basics die.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼").  Add the purplish Autumn Fairy Crystals.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Spring Greetings Window Card by Jean Okimoto

Celebrate spring with a Paisley Bloom Leaf Arch window card and a soft felt Gentle Bunny. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a favorite bunny and the new Paisley Bloom Leaf Arch set. Guessing that your Easter cards are already signed, sealed and sent - here's a spring greeting just to say hello or let someone know you're thinking about them.

Cut a window in a side-folded white A2 card with the 2-¾" Circle Basics die.

Cut the Paisley Bloom arches from a light green 6x6 in the Lush Green Collection.  Attach it to the window to create a wreath. There will be gap near the bottom right section.  Gentle Bunny will cover it!

Cut the flowers - from the Paisley Bloom Arch Set - from 3 sheets in the Berry Red Collection.  Save the extra blossoms for another project.  Attach the flowers to the wreath.

Attach adhesive label paper or a sticker sheet to cream felt and cut Gentle Bunny. Cut another tail pouf and stack them for dimension.  The paper backing stabilizes the felt and prevents adhesives from saturating the fabric.  Cut another bunny from white cardstock.  Attach the felt bunny to the front of the card - then attach the white cardstock bunny from inside the card for dimension and support. 

Add pink and green Pastel Fairy Jewels.  

Stamp the greeting - from the Big and Little Spring Clear Stamps Set - on white cardstock with Tulip Red VersaFine Clair.  Dry the ink and cut the greeting with the 1" Circle Basics die.  Cut another circle from a pink 6x6 and attach it for dimension and contrast.

Use the Basics die sets - Circle Basics, Square Basics or Rectangle Basics to create window and frame cards for any occasion.  Place a greeting in the window and let it multitask as a design element and to convey your message on the inside.

Layered Blossom in a Pinpoint Frame by Jean Okimoto

It's easy to create a stash of any-occasion cards with Memory Box printed papers, detailed dies and color-coordinated 6x6 collections.  Add a thoughtful greeting from the new Friends and Family Clear Stamp Set and the sparkle of turquoise Bright Jewels.  Done!

Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a basic design that's quick and easy - and just might make a tiny dent in your paper stash.  The Garden Folly 6x6 set is a classic favorite of floral and contempory prints for year-round greetings.  The colors coordinate with our 6x6 color collections, glittered cardstock, mirror cardstock and adhesive gems.

Cut Hex Half Pinpoint twice - from adjacent sections - of the Garden Folly 6x6 leafy print. Tape the pieces together to form a hexagon frame.  Cut a 3-¾" square of a teal sheet in the Fresh Aqua 6x6 set.  Attach it behind the frame.  Attach it to a side-folded olive A2 card.

Cut the double-flowered Riverbank Large Layered Blooms from the light teal Fresh Aqua 6x6.  Cut the single blossom (and round center) fron the pale aqua Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad 6x6.  Assemble the flower and attach it to the background.

Stamp the greeting - from the new Friends and Family Clear Stamp Set - on a bright lime 6x6 from the Lush Green Collection with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair.  Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.  Trim it and attach it to the card, tucked under a petal.  Add turquoise jewels from the Bright Jewels set.

Textured Garden Greetings by Jean Okimoto

Pinks and greens - and a favorite felt Bunny Face - create a friendship card with great new dies from our Spring 2022 Collection.  Hello, Jean Okimoto here with a layered, monochromatic design - and a lot of textured details.

The Memory Box 6x6 Collections make it easy to find the perfect coordinating colors for any project.  Three shades of pink from the Berry Red Collection create the Layered Periwinkles here.  

Cut Exquisite Leaf Frame from a 6x6 in the Lush Green Collection.  Attach it to a green A2 card.  (Or attach it to another Lush Green 6x6 cut with the largest Rectangle Basics die.  Attach them to a white or natural notecard to create a custom-colored notecard.)

Cut the background of the Miss You Posh Script from the offcut of the frame.  Cut the top layer from a pink 6x6.  Assemble the greeting.

Attach adhesive label paper or a sticker sheet to tan and pink wool blend felt and cut Bunny Face and the ears.  The paper backing stabilizes the felt and keeps adhesives from saturating it.  Attach a scrap of black cardstock behind the eyes.

Cut the additional face section from Madras Plaid Coral and Green 6x6.  We're making a facemask here, even if pandemic rules are changing daily.   Cut 2 pieces of peach crochet thread or floss. Tape them - crossed - behind the plaid piece.  Attach the mask to the face and tape the thread/floss ends behind the face.  

Attach the diecuts to the card.  Add pink Pastel Jewels.  

A simple change of greetings could make this a get well card - or a hello card for someone you haven't seen in a while.  Add a few pastel egg or jellybean diecuts - and it's an Easter card!

Just a Note of Daisies by Trina Pham

Hello everyone.  Since daisies are one of my favorite flowers (I have many 😁), I used the Daisy Blossom Stem die along with the Hex Half Pinpoint die and the Friends and Family stamp set from the new 2022 Spring release to create an all-occasion card. 

To start, the daisies and leaves/foliage were die cut from white cardstock and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  

Yellows: Y11, Y15, YR24, YR27

Greens: YG03, YG07, YG17, YG67

Greys: C00, C1, 0 (for shading the white petals)

 

 

The hexagon window layer was created by joining two white woodgrain Hex Half Pinpoint pieces together.  For the background, Peacock Feathers distress ink was watercolored onto a scrap of mixed media paper.  Once it was dry, it was attached to the card base then the flowers/foliage were arranged and adhered to it before mounting the hexagon window layer over top with foam tape for dimension.  Finished with some clear shimmer on the daisy yellow centers.

Puppy Love by Jean Okimoto

Here's a Valentine design for dog people - and a bit of pink-spiration for February's Tickled Pink Challenge.  Hello, Jean Okimoto here, let's build a woodgrained doghouse for the Poppystamps Whittle Scottie.  

The Poppystamps Whittle Scottie and Word Balloons were bought to make card kits  - they're great with Memory Box designs too!

Cut House Frame Background fron a pink 6x6 in the Berry Red Collection.  Prep the Wood Grain Planks die by rubbing it briskly with a scrunched waxed paper for easier removal.  Cut pink background with the Wood Grain Planks die - leave the pieces in the die.  Tape the pieces together with Scotch Tape or Magic Tape for easier removal as a single background piece vs. separate planks.

Cut the woodgrain background with the door die.  Cut the door again with a taupe 6x6 from the Earth Neutral Collection.  Cut the House frame including one scored section at the bottom from the same taupe 6x6 - keep the tiny piece at the top and tape it in place.  

Cut the streamer sections of the Heart Streamer Globe from a bright pink 6x6 in the Berry Red Collection.  Sbnip the streamers from the globe frame - keep the "string" attached to the hearts at the ends.  Attach the streamers behind the edges of the taupe frame - and between the streamers

Attach the pink woodgrain background.

Cut 2 fence pieces - from the House Frame set - from natural cardstock.  Trim one right and one left side.  

Cut the Poppystamps Whittle Scottie from a dark brown Earth Neutral 6x6.  Cut another Scottie from black cardstock and layer it for dimension.  Color the nose with a black marker.  Attach three pink jewels from the Bright Jewels set.

Cut the word bubble from the Poppystamps Word Balloons set. Stamp the greeting - from the Big and Little Valentine Words Clear Stamps - with Charming Pink VersaFine Clair.  Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder,

Attach the diecuts to a Cream Woodgrain Paper (cardstock) A-2 card - use foamtape behind the top of the house and the Scottie's head.

Snow Day by Jean Okimoto

Glittered pink trees and a snowy background set the scene for a design from our 2021 Holiday Collection.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here - hope you're having a great weekend!

Snowmen usually wear a black tophat - but this snowgal has a poufy red hat instead. Her trees are pink,  not their usual green, and it appears to be snowing indoors.  

Attach Flurries Wide Washi Tape to black cardstock.  Cover it with a sheet of printer paper and run it through the diecut machine between the usual plates to eliminate tiny wrinkles and airpockets.  Cut it with the Snowman House Frame - we're using just the interior section here.

Cut the frame from white cardstock and again from gray cardstock.  Attach the snowflake section to the white frame leave a small gap to insert the snowgal. Attach the gray frame behind it to add dimension and a little contrast on the top and right edges.

Cut the trees from 2 shades of pink in the Berry Red 6x6 Collection.  Assemble the trees .  Shake the Open Studio Orange Sherbet Glitter Glue vigorously - then squirt ¼" dots of it on each tree section.  Apply the glitter glue with your finger - use a light tapping motion.  Set the trees aside to dry.

Cut the snowman from the smoother side of Memory Box Watercolor Paper.  Color the twiggy arms with a marker.  Tuck a bit of scrap paper under the carrot nose and carefully color the nose with a marker.  Cut the scarf from the dark red 6x6 in the Glitzy Glitter Pad.  Cut another snowgal from black cardstock, remove the arms.  Attach the black diecut behind the white diecut for dimension.

The hat is a DIY project - it's a little fidgety, but it works! Cut the red glitter sheet with the tips of the 2 tree sections that have rounded tops instead of pointy tops.  Trim them to fit behind the head - attach the larger piece first, then add the smaller piece.  Tuck the snowgal behind the inner edge of the frame.  Attach the trees - use foamtape for the big tree.

Tie the frame with silver cord.  Curl the cord with the side of a bonefolder or the plastic flower burnishing tool.

Cut the greeting background from white cardstock.  Pressure-emboss it with the delicate greeting - use the rubber mat and plate(s) required for your machine.  Cut the greeting from a pink 6x6 in the Berry Red Collection.  Assemble the greeting.  Embossing the background makes it easier to attach the delicate diecut and adds dimension.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼").

Sparkling Nativity Scene by Jean Okimoto

A strip of Madras Plaid updates a traditional holiday scene in shades of blue. Specks of gold and Winter Fantasy Fairy Gemstones balance the frosty colors and add some warmth.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with more holiday ideas from our newest release.  

Cut and assemble the new Nativity House Frame and truss from the blue 6x6 in the Frosted Glitter Pad. Cut the nativity figures from the smoother side of Open Studio Watercolor Paper.

I diecut an ink-blended scrap from my stash for the background and added specks of Imagine's Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz.  Dry the ink, then attach the background behind the frame.  Tie a gold cord at the top and curl the ends with the side of a bonefolder or the plastic flower burnishing tool.  For best results follow the natural curl of the cord.

Diecut a pale blue 6x6 from the Ocean Blue Collection with the smallest Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangle.  Cut a a ¾" x 5" strip of the Madras Plaid Blue and Violet sheet.

Cut the smallest Banner Sentiment Trio strip from a slightly darker blue 6x6.  Stamp the greeting -  from the Festive Christmas Greetings Clear Stamp and Die Set - with Paradise VersaFine Clair.  

Attach everything to an off-white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foam tape for the greeting.  Add Winter Fantasy Fairy Gemstones.  Cut an A6-sized sheet of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
