Introducing our latest release...2024 Fuchsia!  It's a beautiful, versatile collection of garden-themed dies, 6x6 plaids and prints, embossing folders and rub-ons.  Buds, blossoms, branches, butterflies, bees, beetles and dragonflies - ready to create late spring and summer cards for every occasion.  Add the perfect greetings for thank-yous, friendship cards and celebrations.  Hi, Jean here with the first of many designs from this great collection.

MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDies, MemoryBox2024FuchsiaCollection, MemoryBoxLittleFuchsiaFlowerTrio&Branch, MemoryBoxAzureDragonflies, MemoryBoxHelloBreezyScript, FlowerDiecuts, Diecutting, DragonflyDiecuts, DiecutGreetings, CardmakingIdeas, PlaidCards, Papercrafts, StenciledCards, MemoryBoxFuchsiaPlaid6x6, MemoryBoxGracefulGardenGlitter6x6, MemorytBoxGreenery6x6, MemoryBoxBrightJewels, MemoryBoxA2RectangleFrames, JeanOkimoto

Let's start with the fuchsia. Spritz both sides of watercolor paper with a light mist of water.  Pressure-emboss it with Little Fuchsia Flower Trio & Branch.  Use the die to cut a stencil from medium-weight cardstock.  Sponge, daub or brush the embossed designs with Distress Oxides - mowed lawn, flamingo kitsch and picked raspberry - and Charming Pink VersaFine Clair.  Heat-set the inks.  Diecut it - leave the pieces in the die to keep them organized.  Assemble the blossoms.

Attach ScorTape over a light green sheet from the Greenery 6x6 Pack.  Cut it with the Hello Breezy Script background.  Cut the detailed top layer from a medium green sheet from the Greenery pack - keep the diecut in the die but remove the tiny pieces inside the e, l's and o.  Press the detailed greeting firmly onto the adhesive-covered background.  Cover it with detail clear embossing powder,  tap off the excess, then heat-emboss it.  It'll be securely-attached, with a glossy background and perfectly centered!

Cut the light green 6x6 with the 2-¼" wide A2 Rectangle Frames die.  Cut the rectangle with the 1-¾" wide A2 Rectangle Frames die to create a simple framed background.

Cut the green, pink and white Fuchsia Plaid sheet with the  2-¾" wide A2 Rectangle Frames die.

Cut the small Azure Dragonflies from a green Graceful Garden Glitter Pad 6x6.  Cut it again from the lime green Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Attach the glittered wings to the mirror cardstock - it's easier to "sandwich" the wings between the 2 mirror cardstock diecuts.  Save the extra diecuts for another project.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foam tape for the dragonfly wing tips.  Add green Bright Jewels.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Masculine Birthday Card
by Angie Cimbalo

6 gears 2

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a masculine birthday card using some 3D embossing folders with some gold embossing paste.  Here's a closer look at my card:

5 gear close

I used the "Put it in Gear" 3D Embossing folder on black card stock and then added some gold metallic paste with my finger to the raised edges.  Next I used the "Vintage Tray" embossing folder and combination die to cut the panel up.  I also used that folder on a white piece of paper so I could piece the black/gold pieces inside the frame.

The tools were cut using the dies that come with the" Toolbox" 3D embossing folder and then added them to the folder to dry emboss them.  I added a little gray ink to them and then added them to the card front, along with a "Happy Birthday Foil Greetings" circle to finish the card.  Here's one last look:

This card would work good for any guy, for Father's Day, birthday, hello, just about any occasion you need a masculine card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday To You
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_8516

Hello everyone!  Today I have a quick and easy birthday card for you.

I began by die cutting several circles of different sizes from colored cardstock and adhering them to a white cardstock panel.  Once I was done with the circle arrangement, I trimmed off all the excess over hanging pieces of colored cardstock.

I glued the card panel to a black cardstock mat and adhered it to a white card base.

IMG_8517

Next, I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and glued it in place on the card.

I die cut the word "happy" from black cardstock and glued it to the white cardstock shadow die cut.  I used foam tape to adhere it to the card.

IMG_8519

To finish the card, I added some white epoxy embellishments.

That's it for today!  Have a great day!

Masculine Thank You Card
by Angie Cimbalo

2 20th close

Welcome, it's Angie here today with a masculine card using three different 3D embossing folders.  This card would be perfect for a handyman's thank you card or for any masculine thank you card you might need.  Here's a closer look:

2 20th close

First of all the frame, if you look closely is cut from a black card stock piece that was dry embossed with the "Gears" folder and then gold metallic paste was added to the raised edges.  Next I used the "Vintage Tray" die to cut the frame from that piece and also from a piece of white card stock.  I took the inside pieces and put them inside the "Vintage Tray" 3D embossing folder to get the woodgrain look and then inked each shape before paper piecing them into the openings of the black/gold frame.

The tools were cut using the dies that come with the" Toolbox" 3D embossing folder and then added them to the folder to dry emboss them.  I added a little gray ink to them and then added them to the card front, along with a "Thank You Foil Greetings" circle to finish the card.  Here's one last look:

Chicks and Bunny Easter Card
by Angie Cimbalo

Main

Hello and welcome! I have a fun Easter card featuring the newly released Layered Chicks 94726 and Cute Layered Bunny 94727. I also used the Vintage Tray 3D Embossing Folder and Die EF1040 released last Christmas for my background. Here's a closer look at my card:

Close

I embossed two of the tray dies from white card stock and used the coordinating die on one of them. On that one I used the cut outside edge to frame the other embossed panel. I added dark brown ink to the frame before adhering it to the white tray.

Next I cut the critters and sentiment (Happy Easter Curled Script 95731) from white card stock and colored them with alcohol markers. I put the critters in the openings and then added the sentiment to the larger opening and finished it off with some Autumn jewels. Here's one last look:

I hope you like my Easter card for today. I just fell in love with those little critters when I say them and couldn't wait to use them on a card. Be sure to come back each day for more inspiration!

Thanks You and Sympathy Floral Cards
by Angie Cimbalo

Vellum thanks main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today!   I have a card design for you today, that I made for two different purposes. One is a "thank you" card and the other is a "sympathy" card and I used the same technique to create each of these.

The main image was created by dry embossing the large flower from the Cheerful Floral 3D embossing folder (EF1025) on a piece of white card stock and a piece of vellum. Once embossed, I added Distress Inks in Fired Brick and Seedless Preserves on both the debossed side of images - ink pad direct to paper, then used the coordinating die that comes in the Cheerful Floral Clear stamp and die set (CL5278 and CLD5278) I cut both of them out. I did not use the stamp, just the large floral die from the set.

Next I layered the inked vellum piece on top of the inked white panel and adhered them together using a tape runner putting tape only on the darker areas of ink so you can see it. Here's a closer look at the image:

Vellum thanks close

I added that piece to a card base that was 5.5" tall and 3.25" wide. Next I took a piece of A2 card stock (4.25" by 5.5") and added 1/2 inch strips of patterned paper from the Magnolia Grove PP1022 paper pad. Then I added back the the top folding card to the A2 panel right in the middle between the strips of paper. So now when you open the card the patterned paper stays on the inside of the card and only the white part opens up. The sentiment is a new white Circle Tab from the Thank You packed of gold foiled tab sentiment. Lastly I added jewels to the flower centers.

Here's one last look at my card:

Vellum thanks 1

The next card was made exactly the same except I used the stamp and die set CL5270 called Elegant Succulents and heat embossed it in white on black card stock. That is the only difference in the cards.

Vellum sympathy main

I hope you like my cards for today, I had so much fun creating with the new release!

Hello Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_7816

Hello everyone!  I have another card for you featuring new products from the 2024 January release.

To make this card, I die cut all the images from white cardstock and used Distress Oxide Inks to add color to them.

Flowers: Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Inks

Flower centers: Black Soot Distress Ink

Leaves: Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Oxide Inks

I followed the image on the packing for the die cuts and glued the flowers together.

IMG_7818

The word "hello" was die cut from black cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock.  I glued the word "hello" on top of the white shadow die cut.

Next, I dry embossed a strip of gray cardstock using the Ringadings 3D embossing folder.  I randomly swiped a white pigment ink pad across the embossed paper, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.

I used a blending brush and applied the same Distress Oxide inks used for the flowers to a white cardstock panel.  I spattered the background with plain water and dried it.

I glued the gray embossed strip of paper to the inked panel and spattered it with black ink.

Next, I glued the flowers and leaves to the card front and used foam tape to adhere the hello die cut to the card.

IMG_7817

To finish the card, I glued the card front to a pink card base.

That's my card for today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

New Anemone Release Thank You
by Angie Cimbalo

Main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a card created using the brand new "Anemone Collection."  This is a beautiful collection of anemone dies, embossing folders with coordinating dies and  rub-ons, new paper pads and new style word dies.

For my card I used the new "Anemone Drift 3D Embossing folder (EF1041) on white card stock.  I die cut the new "Anemone Bud Duo" (94765) from white card stock and colored them with Distress Inks.  I used the Stitched Layered Circles (30036) to cut circle from "Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad" (FP1002) blue and from a piece of patterned paper from the "Anemone Grove Paper Pad" (PP1026).  I also cut the "Thank You Debut Script" (94775) shadow die from the mirror card stock.  The thinner word die was cut from white card stock and adhered with glue to the shadow die.

2

I glued the circles together then added them to the embossed panel and next I added the colored anemones to the circles.  I actually cut the leaves die into 3 pieces so I could put the leaves where I wanted them.  Next, I added the sentiment and then added that panel to the heavy weight card base.  Finally I used my corner rounder to round 3 of the four corners of the card.

All three pictures of my card were taken from different angles so you could see the mirror cardstock reflection in different places.

Here's one last look at my finished card:

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.  Be sure to check out the whole release on the Memory Box website HERE.  Thanks for stopping by!

Embossed, Glossed Holiday Thank You Card by Jean Okimoto

Need thank you cards for holiday gifts?  Create winter thank-yous with Memory Box holiday designs like the Perfect Poinsettias  3D Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies.

Hi, Jean here - moving from bright reds and greens to soft winter pastel pinks on a glossy double-embossed design. Snowflakes, poinsettias, birds, polar bears or snowmen would be great on holiday thank you cards!

Heat-embossing the pressure-embossed design darkens the background and details - adding gloss, contrast and dimension.  The remaining sections retain their original matte light pink color. Yellow ink highlights the centers.

MemoryBoxPerfectPoinsettiae3DEmbossingFolderAndDieSet, MemoryBoxRectangleBasicsSet, MemoryBoxChristmasFairyJewels, MemoryBoxBigAndLittleReverseWordsStampSet, JeanOkimoto, MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDies, 3DEmbossingFolder, VersaMark, BrillianceInkpads, VersaFineClair, ImpressCardsAndCrafts, A6Cards, PoinsettiaCards

Cut a piece of textured pink cardstock to fit into the Perfect Poinsettia 3D Embossing Folder.  We'll emboss the smoother side of the cardstock to contrast the textured card.

Place the open folder on a hard, flat surface and use a soft rubber brayer to ink the top half of the folder with VersaMark (from a clean, juicy inkpad).  Brayer the ink horizontally, vertically and diagonally - be sure the leafy bottom half of the design is well-inked.  Heat-emboss the entire design with detail clear powder.  Switch the heat-tool off several times during the process so it doesn't overheat.

Cut completely cooled design with the approximately 3-¾" x 5" Rectangle Basics die.  Trim the corners with a corner-rounding punch.

Punch a ¼" hole from scrap paper and stencil the centers with Pearlescent Yellow Brilliance ink.  Or Sunflower Yellow for a brighter look.  Move the stencil around a bit so they're not perfect circles.  Heat-set the yellow ink.  Run the heat-tool briefly over the edges of the embossed rectangle to eliminate any rough spots or corners.

Stamp the greeting - from the Big and Little Reverse Words Clear Stamp and Die Set - on the smoother side of the pink cardstock with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair.  Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.  Trim it with the die that's included in the set.

Round the corners of a textured pink A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼").  Attach the diecuts to the card.  Add clear Christmas Fairy Crystals.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

We appreciate your support and enjoy the beautiful Memory Box designs you post on social media throughout the year - thank you!

Thanks for visiting our blog...see you next year!

Starlight Snow Day by Jean Okimoto

P1028984 3

Backyard Wren - from a previous release - was a bit neglected during the current flurry of holiday designs from our Christmas '23 Collection.  He's joining the party, with a hat borrowed from Bundled Bird, on a Starlight Snow backdrop.  Hi, Jean here with another winter scene for holiday inspiration.

P1028999

Prep a 6" square of dark blue/gray cardstock with the embossing powder tool.  Stencil the Starlight Snow design with Wedding Dress Memento Luxe.  Heat-emboss it with detail white embossing powder.  Trim it with the 3.5" wide Nested Globes die.

Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to tan, red and white wool-blend felt.  The paper backing stabilizes the felt and prevents adhesives from saturating it.  Cut the main section of Backyard Wren from the tan felt.

We're using the Bundled Bird's hat - but we need it to face the opposite direction.  Diecut the red and white felt from the reverse side (paper-side-up) to create a custom hat for Backyard Wren.

Cut the wings from the copper Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Cut the beak section (it goes behind the main felt piece) from orange cardstock and color the eye area with a black marker.  Cut the head overlay from light kraft cardstock.

Cut the Poinsettia Stem branch from kraft cardstock.

Cut the Brilliant Joy background from heavy white cardstock.  Pressure-emboss it with the detailed Brilliant Joy die using the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine.  Cut red cardstock with the detailed die and attach the individual letters to the pressure-embossed white background.  Attach red cardstock scraps behind the cutouts in the letters O and Y.

P1028992

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4.5" x 6.25") - use foam dots for the bird and greeting.  Attach clear Christmas Fairy Dewdrops.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

A lot of little details here...thanks for visiting our blog!
