Thank You Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_8579

Hello everyone!  Today's card is quick and easy which uses new products from the 2024 Fuchsia release.

I began by ink blending on a white cardstock panel, using Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks.  I spattered the panel with plain water and gold ink.

I used the shadow die from the "Thank You Breezy Script" die set, and die cut it in the middle of the inked panel.  Next, I die cut the Pinpoint Leaf Plate on a larger white cardstock panel, and used foam tape to adhere the inked background to it.

The words "Thank You" were die cut from gold metallic cardstock and glued to the card in the center of the shadow die cut.

The butterfly was die cut from white cardstock and inked with Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron Distress inks.  The body was inked with a black marker.  I used foam tape to adhere it to the card.

I added some clear fairy drops to add a little shine to the card.

That's it for today!  I hope you have a great day!

Hello everyone!  Today I have a cute Easter card for you using new products from the 2024 Spring Release.

I started by adhering colored cardstock strips of paper to white cardstock and die cutting an egg shape from the it.

IMG_8111

I die cut the Pinpoint Daisy Background on a white cardstock panel and glued it to a gold metallic mat.  Next, I adhered it to a white card base.

The die cut egg was glued to the center of the prepared background and the "Happy Easter" was die cut from white cardstock and glued to the egg shape.

The Cute Layered Bunny was die cut from white cardstock, I added brown ink for a little color to the bunny and glued the layers together.  The eyes, nose and whiskers were added with a black marker and a pink colored pencil was used to add color to the ears and cheeks. I used foam tape to add him to the card front and glued on a white pompom for the bunny tail.

Accent the details of the Magolia Blooms 3D Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies Set with pressure- and heat-embossing for extra dimension and glossy highlights.  Hi, Jean here with a double-embossed design from our Magnolia Collection.

Diecut heavy white cardstock with the 3.75" x 5" A2 Rectangle Frames die.  Spray both sides of the rectangle with a light mist of water - give each side 2 quick spritzes from about 12" away.  Pressure-emboss it with the Magnolia Blooms folder - slightly offset so the layered diecut blossom will extend beyond the right edge.  Attach it to a top-folded 5.5" square white card.

Glue two pieces of pale pink cardstock together for extra thickness.  Cut it with the large matching die from the embossing folder set.  Press VersaMark ink onto the blossom on the embossing folder - use a light tapping motion.  Place the diecut in the folder and pressure-emboss it using the plates and/or mats required for your machine.

Use a cottom swab to daub the blossom's center with mustard-yellow ink.  Impress' Harvest Fresh Ink was used here.  Heat-emboss the entire blossom to highlight the texture and add a glossy finish.

Glue two pieces of light mint green cardstock together for dimension and diecut Tilted Thanks.

Cut the loose leaves - at the bottom of the Magnolia Leaf Branch - from light mint green cardstock.  Attach the leaves behind the blossom, then attach the blossom + leaves to the background.

Attach the greeting - use a sliver of foam tape behind letter "t."  Autumn Fairy Crystals.  Cut a 5.5 square of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.  Square cards require extra postage and special handling.

The Magnolia Blooms 3D Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies set includes two blossom dies to create a variety of designs.  Use the versatile dies to cut stencils too - for quick and easy cards on a busy day.

Thanks for visiting - see you on Friday...

Hugs and Kisses
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_3779 (1)

Hello everyone!  I have another Valentine's Day card for you featuring products from the 2023 Valentine's Day release.

IMG_3782 (1)

I did a faux letterpress technique using the Blissful Heart Hot Foil die.  This is a good example of using dies other than what they were intended for.

To do this technique I used a brayer to apply Red Archival ink to the die and placed a piece of watercolor paper on top of the die.  Next, I ran this through my die cutting machine following the instructions for embossing.

IMG_3756 (1)

I used one of the hearts from the Double Stitch Loving Heart die set to die cut the letterpress heart.

I die cut the Pinpoint Leaf Plate on a white cardstock panel and adhered it to a red cardstock mat.  This was glued to a white note card.

To create the strip behind the heart, I applied double stick to a white cardstock strip of paper and glued strips of cardstock to it.  This is a great way to use scraps of cardstock.  I glued this to the center of the card and used foam tape to adhere the letterpress heart to the card.

Next, I white heat embossed the words Hugs and Kisses to a strip of black cardstock and used foam tape to adhere it to the center of the heart.

IMG_3781 (1)

To finish the card I added some Clear Fairy Drops and that's it!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Double-Emboss the Blissful Heart by Jean Okimoto

MemoryBoxBlissfulHeartHotFoilPlate, MemoryBoxDoubleStitchLovingHeartCutOut, MemoryBoxSlimRectangleLayers, MemoryBoxVintagePastelMirrorPad, MemoryBoxCreamWoodgrainPaper, MemoryBoxWinterFantasyFairyGemstones, MemoryBoxOpenStudioWatercolorPaper, JeanOkimoto, HotFoilPlateEmbossing, SlimlineCards, ValentineCards, ValentineDiecuts, HeartDiecuts, DiecutGreetings, EmbossedCards, DistressOxides, CardmakingTechniques, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

The new Blissful Heart Hot Foil Plate is a hardworking multi-tasker that's also perfect for embossing the beautiful botanical design.  It's double-embossed here - pressure-embossed, then heat-embossed to highlight the delicate details.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a slimline Valentine design for you.

MemoryBoxBlissfulHeartHotFoilPlate, MemoryBoxDoubleStitchLovingHeartCutOut, MemoryBoxSlimRectangleLayers, MemoryBoxVintagePastelMirrorPad, MemoryBoxCreamWoodgrainPaper, MemoryBoxWinterFantasyFairyGemstones, MemoryBoxOpenStudioWatercolorPaper, JeanOkimoto, HotFoilPlateEmbossing, SlimlineCards, ValentineCards, ValentineDiecuts, HeartDiecuts, DiecutGreetings, EmbossedCards, DistressOxides, CardmakingTechniques, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Cut the smoother side of Open Studio Watercolor Paper with the largest Double Stitch Loving Heart Cut Out.  Lightly spritz both sides of the heart 4 times - from about 12" away.  Let the paper absorb the water for about 30 seconds then place the smoother side of the heart onto the Blissful Heart Foil Plate and pressure-emboss it. Use the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine.

Place the embossed heart on a smooth, hard surface and use a brayer or the direct-to-paper technique to ink the entire design with picked raspberry Distress Oxides.  Quickly heat-emboss it with Imagine's Iridescent Embossing Powder for a sparkly, glittery, glossy look.

Use a blending brush or sponge dauber to ink the edges of the heart with picked raspberry.  Sprinkle the embossing powder along the edges and heat-emboss it.

Cut the "love" portion of the Sending Love Daily Script from dark gray and bright pink cardstock - save the little pieces in the "ove."  Attach the greeting to the Blissful Heart with a liquid adhesive - I used the original Tacky Glue.

Cut bright pink cardstock with the 1-⅛" x 6-¼" Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die. Cut two strips of the silver 6x6 in the Delicate Pastel Mirror Pad with the smallest slim rectangle die.

MemoryBoxBlissfulHeartHotFoilPlate, MemoryBoxDoubleStitchLovingHeartCutOut, MemoryBoxSlimRectangleLayers, MemoryBoxVintagePastelMirrorPad, MemoryBoxCreamWoodgrainPaper, MemoryBoxWinterFantasyFairyGemstones, MemoryBoxOpenStudioWatercolorPaper, JeanOkimoto, HotFoilPlateEmbossing, SlimlineCards, ValentineCards, ValentineDiecuts, HeartDiecuts, DiecutGreetings, EmbossedCards, DistressOxides, CardmakingTechniques, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Attach the diecuts to a card of Creme Woodgrain cardstock (3-⅝" x 8-½") - use foamdots for the heart.  Add the lightest Winter Fantasy Fairy Gemstones.  Cut a slimline-sized rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting - see you again on Sunday...

Miss You Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_1767

Good morning everyone!  Today I have a bright and fun card for you featuring the new Stella Butterfly and Background Die Set.

I started with a piece of white cardstock and used Distress Inks to create a blended background.

Next, I inked the Rose Bouquet stamp with white pigment ink and stamped it on top of my blended background.  This created a soft texture to the background.

IMG_1770

I die cut one of the Nested Globes dies from the background and adhered it to a Pinpoint Leaf Plate background that I die cut from white cardstock.

The butterfly outlines were die cut from black cardstock and the butterfly background was cut from vellum.  I glued only the center of the butterfly outline to the the vellum and adhered them to my card.

Next I die cut the words "Miss You" from white cardstock and the shadow from black cardstock.  I glued the words to the black shadow die cut and adhered it to the card.

IMG_1769

I glued the card front to a black cardstock mat and adhered it to a white card base.

I added some Fairy Gemstones to finish the card, and that's it for today!

Thanks so much stopping by!

Hello there! Michelle here, sharing the new Nativity House Frame Die, Bennet Alphabet Die and Slim Pinpoint Burst Plate Die.  Whether you like to color your die cuts or keep them one basic shade, the Nativity House Frame is perfect for either.
26

For both cards I began with the Slim Pinpoint Burst Plate Die. I inked it up with tumbled glass and prize ribbon distress oxide inks. I die cut the Alphabet and colored the base with Copic Markers. I die cut the top layer using a piece of cardstock from the Ocean Blue 6x6 Pack. I die cut the star from the Majestic Hues Glitter Pad. I die cut the Nativity Frame using the Woodgrain Paper Pack in cream and kraft. I used Copic Markers to color the palm trees and Holy Family.

Sending Love Shaker Card
by Michelle Bala

20

Hello there! Michelle here, sharing some of the fun new products for Valentine's Day! I used the largest die from the Scallop Pinpoint Loving Heart Die. This die is perfect for creating a shaker card. I die cut a piece of red cardstock than splattered it with white paint. Set aside to dry.

18

Next, I used the Pinpoint Burst Plate and embossed a piece of aqua cardstock.  Adhere the embossed panel to the card base. When the top die cut panel is dry, turn it over and adhere a piece of clear acetate to the back. This is the shaker window. Frame out the shaker window panel with a double layer of foam tape and remove all tabs.

19

Sprinkle a mix of sequins onto the aqua cardstock where the shaker window will position.  Adhere the top panel over the sequins.  Last, die cut the sentiment Sending Love Posh Script two times. I used the Holiday Glitter Pad and aqua cardstock to die cut the sentiment. I adhered them together slightly off center. Than adhere the sentiment to the card.

Thanks for stopping by for a peek!

Hope you'll give this shaker a try!
