Happy Thursday everyone!  I have another Birthday card for you today using products from the new 2024 Birthday Wishes release.

I began by ink blending a panel of white cardstock and embossing it with the Party Time 3D embossing folder.  You want to make sure the the images are debossed on the inked side.

Next I used a small brayer to apply gold ink over the entire panel.  The gold ink alone did not make the background colors pop, so I used black ink and applied it over the gold ink. When it dried it had a light black metallic color.

I adhered the background to a turquoise cardstock mat and glued it to a white card base.

I die cut the shadow for the sentiment with black cardstock and the words from gold metallic cardstock.  I glued the words to the black shadow die and used foam tape to adhere it to the card.

Celebrate the big day with the new Party Layer Cake and Happy Birthday Celebration Script from our Birthday Wishes Collection. Build a special layer cake with a  gold-embossed print from the Anemone Grove 6x6 pack.   Hi, Jean here with another idea to add to your stash of ready-to-go greetings for that special day.

Cut the Party Layer Cake from the Anemone Grove print.  Cut the scalloped accents from the turquoise Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad 6x6 - we're using just 2 of the 3 diecuts for the top layer.  

Cut 7 candles - from the Party Layer Cake set - from the light aqua Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad 6x6.  Color the flames with a light orange marker.

Cut the solid backgrounds of the Happy Birthday Celebration Script from heavy white cardstock.  Spritz the diecuts with a light mist of water.  Pressure-emboss them with the detailed top layers using the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine.   Embossing the detailed design makes it easy to attach the top layers.  The dot for the  letter "i" is connected to the "t" to save time and make life easier!

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-1/2" x 6-1/4").  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.  

Mix, match and experiment with different combinations of our 6x6 prints, mirror cardstock, 6x6 cardstock collections and 8.5x11" cardstock colors using this versatile basic design.

Birthday greetings using dies from the newest 2025 Birthday Wishes Collection!

to make this card

• start with a blank white top-fold note card
• die cut the HAPPY BIRTHDAY BACKGROUND PLATE 94857 from black card stock and adhere it to the front of the note card

 

• die cut BIRTHDAY PARTY CAKE 94862 from watercolor paper
• use watercolor pencils, water and a small brush to paint the image pieces
• assemble the cake when dry

 

• mount the cake on a 1 1/2" square of coordinating card stock using dimensional foam squares
• add that panel to a 2" square cut from white card stock
• attach the streamer pieces
• adhere the finished panel to the center of the note card at an angle

I thought this color combination would work well for a masculine birthday card.  Change up the colors of the background paper and the Birthday Party Cake pieces for a totally different look.  A fun card to send to anyone of any age!

Build a Bouquet – Fringe Flowers & Lucky Blooms by Jean Okimoto

Celebrate with a bouquet of Fringe Flowers and Lucky Blooms from our latest release!  Mix, match and layer versatile design elements and create birthday, thank you, friendship and congrats cards with the new Birthday Wishes Collection.  Hi, Jean here with a bright-on-white slimline design.

The flowers are "extras" from my previous card - and some tiny pink Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad diecuts for extra sparkle.  They're cut from 6x6's in the Blush Collection.  

The centers are cut from green 6x6's in the Festive Glitter Pad and Greenery Collection.  Cut Lavender Bouquet from a Greenery 6x6 for the foliage and stems.

Cut the 1.5" wide Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangle from white cardstock.

Attach ScorTape above a strip of the dark coral Blush 6x6 and cut it with the background of the Congrats Marker Script die.  Cut the detailed top layer from white cardstock.  Save the individual letters for another project.  Attach the detailed layer to the adhesive-covered background - slightly offset for a shadow effect.   Cover the exposed adhesive with Imagine's Irirdescent Embossing Powder.  Tap off the excess powder, then heat-emboss the greeting.  It'll be glittery and securely attached in one easy step!

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-1/2" x 8-1/2") - attach the greeting with foamtape.  Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the cardfront for mailing.

Pick the recipient's favorite colors and build a custom bouquet.  Or diecut a bunch of Lucky Blooms and Fringe Flowers, assemble them.  They'll be ready when you need a quick card or tag.

Blooming Birthday Wishes by Jean Okimoto

 

Mix bold, brilliant blossoms - from our new Birthday Wishes Collection - and create a colorful card for someone special.  Hi, Jean here with another design from our latest release of dies, stencils, embossing folders and clear stamp sets.  They're designed for mixing, matching and creating cards to celebrate, congratulate, thank...or just send a caring hug.

We're diecutting the blossoms for today's card - and another design I'll share next week.  Cut the new Fringe Flowers from a mix of assorted pink/coral and dark red 6x6's in the Blush Collection.  Cut the centers from a medium-green 6x6 in the Greenery Collection.  Cut the small flowers from a Festive Glitter Pad 6x6.

Cut the new Lucky Blooms from the same 6x6 colors.  Assemble the 5 flowers - save the rest of the pieces for next week's card.

Cut Lavender Bouquet from a dark green 6x6 in the Greenery Collection.  We're using the 4-stem section plus a single stem - for the left side of the bouquet.

 

Cut the 2-3/4" wide Wrapped Stitched Rectangle from white cardstock.  Attach the diecuts to a top-folded white A2 card.  

Stamp the greeting - from the new Birthday Chic Clear Stamp Set - on white cardstock with Electric Coral Radiant Neon.  Heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.  Cut it with the smallest Wrapped Stitched Rectangle die.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The 2025 Birthday Wishes Collection by Jean Okimoto

 

Happy 2025!  Celebrate and welcome the New Year with our Birthday Wishes Collection of fabulous dies, stencils, embossing folders and clear stamp sets.  Party designs, big and little flowers, birds, balloons, cover plates and greetings - ready for special occasions and everyday-greetings.   Hi, Jean here with the first of many designs we'll be sharing as we introduce our latest release.

Cut the lavender and blue Anemone Grove 6x6 with the 3.5" wide Nested Globes die.  It's a beautiful floral print - I'm using some of the delicate stems as strings for the new Celebration Balloons.

Cut Celebration Balloons from a turquoise 6x6 in the Glitzy Glitter Pad - cut 2 of the medium-sized balloon.  Attach them to the globe background.

Attach an adhesive label sheet (or sticker sheet) to aqua felt to stabilize the felt and prevent adhesives from saturating it.  Cut the large Bluebird Prince base and the head overlay.  Cut the beak background and legs from a yellow-orange 6x6 in the Sunrise Collection.  Color the eye area with a black marker.  Color the legs with a tan marker.  Attach those diecuts behind the base section.

Cut the wings from a turquoise Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Cut the crown from a gold Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Assemble the bird.

Cut the detailed Happy Birthday Marker Script from a light blue 6x6 in the Lagoon Collection.  Attach ScorTape over a dark teal Lagoon Collection 6x6 and cut the greeting background.  Attach the detailed overlay to the background, then cover it with detail clear embossing powder.  Tap off the excess powder and heat-emboss it to adhere the pieces and create a glossy, textured greeting...in one easy step!  Save the individual letters for another project.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (6.25" x 4.5") - use a double layer of foam tape behind the crownd.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Create a stash of birthday cards for the special people in your life.  Make some congratulatory cards and thank-yous with these great designs too!

Snowy Birdhouse by Theary Chea

Hello and welcome! It's Theary on the blog again. I can't believe that this year has just flown by. I am still in denial that it's almost the end of 2024. However, I enjoy the winter weather and love snuggling up with the kiddos.
Today, I am sharing a winter wonderland card created with the adorable Snowy Birdhouse. So, let's get started.

To create the background, I trimmed down a sheet of Memory Box Fresh Aqua cardstock to 4.25 inches by 5.50 inches. I spritz the panel with a little bit of water before I place it into the Memory Box Birchtree Forest Embossing Folder and run that through my die-cutting machine.

To create some interest on the card panel, I used a mini Brayer to run white pigment ink over the raised areas. Then, using dark blue ink I blended around the edges of the card panel to create a bit of dimension.

The snowy birdhouse was cut from white cardstock and Memory Box Kraft Woodgrain Cardstock. I adhered everything using liquid adhesive and popped it on the card panel with foam squares.

I added Memory Box Brilliant Berries behind the birdhouse and placed the adorable Memory Box Wistful Bird on top of the birdhouse.

I added white details using a gel pen.

Lastly, I popped on a sentiment from Memory Box Greeting Tabs.

Need a thank you card for a holiday gift ?  Say thanks with a layered arrangement of Nested Globes, blossoms and a Foiled Greetings Circle Tab.  Hi, Jean here with a versatile design you can use throughout the year with your favorite prints and colors.

Cut the new Blushing Bloom and Small Anemone Duo from a light blue/lavender 6x6 in the Ocean Blue Collection.  Color the stems with a marker.  Color the dotted centers from the Blushing Bloom set with a light lavender marker.  Cut the solid center pieces from the pale yellow Graceful Garden Glitter Pad 6x6.  

 

Assemble the flowers - build the 3 Small Anemone Duo petals into a plump bud and add the centers from the Blushing Bloom set.  Cut the scalloped Anemone Grove 6x6 with the 3" wide Nested Globes die.  Cut a matching Ocean Blue 6x6 with the 2", 1.5" and 1" Nested Globe die - cut the largest globe first, then cut the smaller sizes one at a time.  Tape them together on the reverse side to create a textured background.

Attach the diecuts to a top-folded white A2 card - use foam dots for top and sides of the Blushing Bloom.  Attach a Thank You Foiled Greeting Tab.  Add the lavender Treasure Chest Gemstones.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Sweet Treat Wrappers by Jean Okimoto

'Twas the night before Christmas - and you need some quick dinner party favors.  Diecuts, rub-on transfers and foiled greeting tabs add a festive finale to holiday celebrations.  Hi, Jean here with simple candy wrappers for your guests.

 

 

 

Cut Cranberry, Cilantro and Raspberry Sorbet 8.5x11" cardstock with the 2-7/8" wide Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangles die.  Score  and crease them at 3-7/8" and 4-1/8".  The stitched design frames the holiday icons.

 

Cut Wreath Sprigs from two shades of the green from Greenery 6x6 Collection.  Create a circle guide for the sprigs by pressure-embossing the 1-1/2" Circle Basics die onto the front of the treat wrapper.  Attach the springs in alternating greens.

Cut the berries - from the  Festive Holly set - from a red Festive Glitter Pad 6x6.  Attach the diecuts and add a Merry and Bright Foil Greeting Tab Banner.

 

Cut the Festive Holly stem from dark brown cardstock.  Cut the leaves from a Greenery 6x6.  Cut more berries from the Festive Glitter Pad red 6x6.  Attach the diecuts to the wrapper and add a Merry Christmas White Circle Foil Tab.  

 

Cut two 1" circles and one 1-1/4" circle of Cranberry Cardstock with the Circle Basics dies.  Carefully cut 3 designs from the Snowflake Rub-Ons and remove the paper liner.  Tap the rub-ons onto cardstock circles.  Place them between 2 sheets of printer paper and run them through a diecut machine using the plates used for cutting.  Carefully remove the plastic liner.

Attach the circles to the wrapper and add a Christmas Labels Foil Greetings White Tab.

 

I've used Theo organic Peppermint Cocoa Cups for the treats - and folded and taped the  bottom edge behind the candy to make it more compact.  Attach the candy inside the wrapper with doublestick tape.  Tie it with gold cord and curl the cord with the side of a bonefolder or plastic burnishing tool.    Ghiradelli chocolate squares would also be great in these wrappers.

Surprise…it’s a Window Giftcard Holder! by Jean Okimoto

A Stitchable Mitten window card delivers a hidden surprise for the holidays.  There's a giftcard adhered behind the mitten.   It's revealed only when the recipient opens the greeting card.  Hi, Jean here with my final  holiday card of 2024.  

Cut Stitchable Mitten from the front of a top-folded white A2 card.  Cut the mitten again from the dark teal Yuletide Cheer poinsettia print.  Cut the cuff from a medium-green 6x6 in the Greenery Collection.

Here's the inside view...I've added a turquoise "faux-giftcard" cut from a turquoise 6x6 in the Lagoon Collection.  Attach the real giftcard inside the A2 card - carefully avoiding any barcode or scannable areas on the giftcard - then attach the mitten and cuff over it with foam tape.

Cut the leaves and circles from the mitten set from a Greenery Collection 6x6.  Cut the button and flowers from Cherry Red 8.5x11" cardstock.  Attach them near the bottom right corner  of the cutout.

Add a Merry Christmas Foil Banner White Greeting Tab.  Attach the right tip of the banner behind the leaf.  Add red Christmas Fairy Crystals.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailng.
