Butterfly Drifting Milk Carton Set

MBset1

Good Afternoon, Marnie here!  I've created a card for today using a couple of the new Stencils "Butterfly Drifting - 88504" and "Butterfly Vine - 88524" they are very cool and work together perfectly.  First I stenciled with the "Butterfly Drifting - 88504" and white embossing paste  on turquoise cardstock and let it dry.  Then I sponged over it with the "Butterfly Vine - 88524" and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.  The affect is very cool and the techniques are endless with these stencils.  I layered everything onto "Currant Distressed Dots" and a white cardstock with some green ribbon.  I also used the "Joy Script - 98641" as the greeting on the card.  When that was done I used a some leftover Turquoise cardstock to cut the "Buttermilk Carton - 98739" from and did the embossing paste process on all four sides of the carton before taping it together.  I then added flowers with the "Sophia Bloom Set - 98840" along the bottom with a little glitter in the middle for sparkle.  Again using Pink Cardstock and the "Currant Distressed Dots"

Diecut Sweet Easter Treat Boxes

P1050576

Big Thanks to everyone who took last weekend's Fresh and Springy classes at Impress.  I love the pretty colors (and dark chocolate eggs) that reflect the change of seasons...hope you did too!

Create colorful spring takeout boxes for Easter candies - and top them with pretty diecut felt flowers - what could be easier than that?  Jean Okimoto here - with an easy spring project featuring some great Memory Box and Poppystamps dies for Easter and Spring celebrations:

  • Memory Box Mini Takeout Box 98522
  • Memory Box Blooming Rosette and Center 98121
  • Memory Box Lovely Aster 98510
  • Memory Box Scalloped Buttons 98136
  • Poppystamps Blooming Poinsettia 861

P1050570

Cut and score boxes from 12x12s  - left to right:  Pocket Posie, Flower Cottage and Veronica.  Then cut and score boxes from Snapdragon Dots and Key Lime Dots.  Cut matching 6" x 1/4" strips for handles. Assemble the boxes and attach the handles with mini-brads.

P1050526Cut the Blooming Rosette and Center from Baby Blue felt, then trim the strip  to 1.25" wide. Sew a running stitch along the straight edge with heavy thread or floss (it doesn't even have to match or look nice - it'll be hidden).  Gather it into a circle and secure it with several knots.  Glue the center on the knotted side.

Cut Lovely Aster from Yellow and Spring Tickle felt.  Cut Blooming Poinsettia from Lavender (purple) and Wisteria felt.  Cut Scalloped Buttons from Lavender, Baby Blue and Spring Tickle felt and glue them to the flowers.  I love to diecut felt - and Impress has a beautiful selection of high-quality wool-blend felt for your spring projects.

Fill the Mini Takeout Boxes with treats and share them with the special people in your life.  There's also a bigger takeout box die - Small Takeout Box 98521 - that works perfectly with the Grand Calibur and Big Shot Pro machines.

Thanks for visiting - have a great evening!
