Anemone Bird House
by Trina Pham

IMG_4946

Hello everyone.  It may be Valentine’s Day, but my card is not. 😂   I have a simple card with all the spring feels to share today using  Anemone Blooms and Elegant Anemone dies from the Anemone collection with the Woodgrain Bird House and Leaf Bunches  dies from the 2023 Christmas collection.

All pieces were die cut from white cardstock paper and ink blended with dye inks using blending brushes.  Wilted Violet and Stormy Sky distress inks (DI) were used for the anemone flowers, Black Soot DI was used for shading on the bird house and two gradient green color dye inks from Altenew were used for the leaf bunches.

Trimmed a 3/8” strip from white woodgrain paper for the bird house post and added shading to it as well using Black Soot DI.  Lightly ink blended Milled Lavender DI to the bottom of an A2 size Bristol panel before assembling the card onto a white card base.  I was going to leave the card blank, but went digging in my bits bag and found this Poppy Stamp gold foil Modest Greetings 1 sentiment that works nicely for many occasions.

Well, that does it for my card.  Get ready for a brand new release tomorrow.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Send joyful winter wishes with a bright red felt Layered Cardinal and a frost-topped Woodgrain Bird House.  Shades of red, green and glittery white create a classic scene here.  Hi, Jean here with winter wishes from our Christmas 2023 Collection.

Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to bright red wool-blend felt and cut the main portion of Layered Cardinal.  The paper backing stabilizes the felt and keeps adhesives from saturating it.  Cut the wings from the red Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad 6x6.

Cut both head pieces from yellow/orange cardstock.  Color the top layer with a black marker.  Attach a scrap of yellow-orange cardstock behind the eye.  Assemble the cardinal - use foam dots for the outer tip of the small wing.

Cut Woodgrain Bird House from two shades of green cardstock.  Cut the snowy roof from the white  Festive Glitter Pad 6x6.  Attach a scrap of light yellow/green cardstock behind the entrance.

Cut Classic Pine Needle Sprigs from chartreuse cardstock.

Cut natural cardstock with the 2.25" and 2.75" wide A2 Rectangle Frames die.  Stamp the greeting - from the new Shining Star Clear Stamp Set - on natural cardstock with Glamorous VersaFine Clair.  Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.  Trim it with the 1.75" wide A2 Rectangle Frames die.

Attach the diecuts to a natural A6 card (4.5" x 6.25").  Attach red Bright Jewels.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The Christmas release includes several birds, the Woodgrain Bird House and a delicate layered Bird's Nest for your holiday cards.  Combine different textures, glitter, matte and metallic papers to create an assortment of colorful birds for cards, tags and tree ornaments.

Pink Christmas Hummingbird House
by Trina Pham

IMG_3067

Hello everyone.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and in support, I created a monochromatic pink Christmas card using several new products from the current 2023 Christmas release.

The Woodgrain Bird House, Layered Hummingbird and Classic Pine Needle Sprigs were all die cut out from white paper.  Colored them with Picked Raspberry and Black Soot distress inks (DI) using various blending brushes.  The snowy layer on the roof was die cut a second time from pink Delicate Pastel glitter paper for some sparkle.

After seeing a post recently on a crafty friend’s blog, the Torn Paper Mask technique was used to create the cloud background.  This was done by ink blending Spun Sugar DI over the edges of torn printer paper… so no need for a cloud edge stencil! 🤗

The cloud background was then die cut down with the third largest A2 Rectangle Frames die.  Assembled the card onto an A2 size white woodgrain panel and added falling snow with a white gel pen (even on the die cut pieces because snow doesn’t avoid them). 😉  A Merry Christmas Foil Greetings Black Tab finished it off.

A quick note…  I will be linking this card to the Pink Christmas challenge at Jingle Belles where $4 per card entered will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Fun creating a pink (or predominantly pink) Christmas card while helping fundraise for the Cure?… it’s a win-win!  That does it from me.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Merry Christmas
by Angie Cimbalo

From left closest

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a fun Christmas card using some of the beautiful newly released dies from the latest release!   You have to check out this release, it's big and has so many beautiful things, including some new already foiled sentiments, new papers, 3D embossing folders and so much more.

For my card today I used the Vintage Tray 3D embossing folder and coordinating die set.  I only used the embossing folder and not the die.  But it's very cool and it cuts out each shape of the woodgrain sections plus the outside frame that also has lots of pretty detail.  I added the embossed panel to a white card base and then started cutting my pieces from white card stock.  I actually cut everything from white and colored them with alcohol markers.  Only the bottom of the birds was colored differently, with ink blending.

Center

First I cut the Classic Pine Needle Springs die and colored them with a dark green.  Next I cut the Woodgrain Bird House, colored all the pieces and glued them together.  Once it was together, I added lots of sparkle pen to the snow on top of the house.  Here's a closer look at all that sparkle:

Glistening snow

I cut the 2 birds from the Nested Chickadee Duo die set and colored all the pieces before I put them together.  And lastly I cut the Merry Christmas Jolly Script die, also from white and used red markers on the larger layering background piece to lay the thinner letters on top of.  Just remember to save the inside of your "e" and your "a" so you can add those pieced to the red background.

Once I was happy with the layout, I started glueing some pieces down and popping some up on foam tape for dimension.  Here's one last look:

I really love those cute birds and that birdhouse.  There are other birds in the release including a cardinal, so check out all the new goodies from the 2023 Christmas release.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Be sure to come back each day for more inspiration from the team.
