Hello dear friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you today and I wanted to share with you something  a bit different- the layouts that I did for my youngest son, both of them use Memory Box dies and I picked the white paper for that, so they can really pop out more.

Baby card

Hello dear friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you today with my simple baby card.

June2petzer

The butterfly was a leftover from the die cutting with a Blissful Butterfly Border (98878) and just fitted the top of the mobile perfectly.

The blue stripes pattern is a fabric, so in real life the card has a nice soft texture as well.

Memory Box Dies used:

baby script (98866)

Precious Mobile (98760)

Blissful Butterfly Border (98878)

Paper:

DS-Pool (77909)

See you soon

Pam here...Take a look at the new Star Garlands die  Isn't it grand!  Sorry if you have the Star Spangled Banner stuck in your head for the rest of the day...rehearsing for the 4th of July! : )

PamSparksStarGarlandsUSAClose

I used the words from the happy and birthday cloud dies and the Classic Uppercase alphabet for USA.

Memory Box White A2 Notecard for the card base... Cranberry and Sapphire notecards for the die cuts and Silver glitter cardstock for the Star Garlands.

I had to try another card with the Star Garlands too... welcome baby!

PamSparksStarGarlandsBaby

On this card I only used half of the
Star Garlands cut.  Then I used the Parker lowercase Alphabet to spell baby and Alphabet Soup to spell out the name.

The Baby Carriage die is cut from white and mounted on a Cherry Blossom A2 NotecardThe Rattle and Duck are cut from the Baby Stuff die.  I accented the rattle and the centers of the carriage wheels with a RV21 Copic marker.

The 'rug' the carriage is on is from the Palace Oval Frame Set.

I'm having a blast creating with the new Summer 2014 release!  It sounds like they are arriving at stores everywhere!  Happy creating to you and Thanks for looking today!

Welcome Baby!

IMG_9583

We are gearing up for our new release blog party that will start Monday March 24. Be sure to check in a few times a day for awesome samples using the new stencils and dies that MB has just released and for some great prizes!

My card today is a bit of a tease. It combines old with the new. I rarely need a baby card, but I always keep a few in my stash just in case. This CAS ( and yes it was clean and simple and clean and fast) I used one section of the texture wave stencil #88520 and the just released die mama and baby ducks # 98868. I sponged the waves with blues and greens and added a glimmery look with a touch of my wink of stella pen and popped the die cut mama and baby duck and the sentiment. Finally a touch of bling and voila!

Be sure to check out the upcoming blog blitz for the latest stencils and dies from Memory Box!

O' Baby!

It's a baby themed card today--- Memory Box's Spring collection offers some adorable baby dies and I combined a few to create this sweet birth announcement.  Of course, you could make it for a boy with a few changes--add the new kites, stars and blue papers.

This would make a wonderful baby shower gift for the new mother.  Just add the baby's birth date and weight after the baby's arrival.

Baby-Card

I think my favorite element is the bow---very sweet and delicate!

And here's a peek at the inside of the card...don't you just love those peas in a pod?  It would be a nice touch to add a photo of the new baby on the inside cover page.

More Spring cards...

Well, the snow does not want to quit here in New England.  We are getting ready for another storm.  I am ready for Spring...  It is however Spring in my craft room.  Flowers, butterflies and happy colors.  In my last post, I said I would share more details on the other cards from my last class.  This cards uses the beautiful new Baby Carriage die (#98528).  It is such a sweet die!  I cut it from a pretty floral paper from Little Yellow Bicycle.  I then sanded it gently to help highlight some of the embossed details of the buggy. I colored the wheels with a silver sharpie marker to distinguish them from the rest of the buggy. The Modern Landscape Border (#98257) cut from pool Moroccan paper makes a nice backdrop for the buggy.

MemBoxFeb2013Buggy

Here is a detail shot of the "sky".

MemBoxFeb2013BuggyDetail

I cut the Puffy Clouds (#98172) out of the background and used foam tape to pop them slightly askew so that the floral background paper peeks through. The blue clouds on the white background were created using Brilliance Pearlescent Sky ink and and foam sponge.  I used the back of the cut out clouds as masks and sponged the blue moving the cloud around and repeating to get a natural look.  I stamped "Welcome Little One" (#B1749) in black ink on one of the clouds.  The card base is Peony.  I really like that this cards is good for a baby boy or girl.  It has a lot of dimension in real life that is hard to capture in photos.

I have a class coming up Thursday evening, March 14th at Ink About It .  If you are local, I'd love to have you join us.  We'll be making more Spring cards that will be great for Easter, Mother's day etc. using more of the fabulous new dies.
