Good morning Memory Box fans! I hope your day is going well and you're getting your creative on.
There is a video tutorial at the end of this post showing how to create the front panels for today's cards so don't forget to scroll all the way down
Today's post is showing how to make 2 different card fronts using one gorgeous stencil and some Color Burst. Fast, easy and awesome. I love me some stencils. I think they are one of the most versatile crafting tools I have, and I use them constantly and in lots of different ways. Today I'm using the Leafy Stems stencil from the Garden Collection.
This card is using the positive portion of the stencil. In my little head, the positive part of the stencil refers to the openings whereas the negative part of the stencil is the plastic portion.
And the second card uses the both the positive and the negative parts of the stencil.
The background colors using the Color Bursts was created by using the negative part of the stencil and the leaves were colored with Distress Inks using the positive part of the stencil.
Here is a quick video showing how to use the stencil in multiple ways and how to use the Color Burst in a simple yet effective way. Enjoy
