Feel Better Soon with Cherish Scalloped Frames
by Angie Cimbalo

Feel Better main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here with a pretty framed butterfly get well card!  Here's another close up look:

Feel Better close

The butterfly bodies and the background of both of the "Cherish Scalloped Frames" were made with pigment powders and water sprays, all on watercolor paper.  The sentiment is from the new "Hello Butterfly" stamp set, stamped in black ink.  The top layer of the butterflies is cut from white card stock as well as both of the frames.  The butterflies I used are the "Glade Butterfly" and the "Sylvan Butterfly."

I added some gold thread under the smaller frame and after putting all the die cuts on the frame I added the big frame to a large watercolor panel that was made the same way with pigment powders.  To finish my card I added some gold gems.  Here's one last look:

I used a piece of plaid paper from the Anemone Plaid Paper Pack (PP1025) and then added a die cut rectangle of gold mirror paper and a blue watercolor panel - all made with the A2 Rectangle Frames dies (94672).  I added the rectangles and then used a white paint pen to add tiny dots all around the blue panel. I cut the butterflies from white card stock and used ink blenders to color them in green, blue and a dark purple for the bodies.  I stamped the sentiment in dark turquoise ink and then added Glossy Accents on top of it.  Lastly I added the butterflies and then some blue gems from the Christmas Fairy Dewdrops (ddp-101) onto the gold edge.  Here's one last look at my card:

Happy Birthday Tune
by Angie Cimbalo

Green 1

Hello, Angie here today with another fun birthday card featuring some of the new products from the 2025 Birthday Wishes release.  Here's a close up look:

Green 2

So for my card I dry embossed the Party Time 3D folder on a piece of white card stock and matted it on a piece of green card stock cut to 5" by 3.75". I took pink, green and yellow ink and lightly inked some of the hats and balloons and then added the sentiment.  The sentiment is stacked 3 high (in 3 different colors of card stock) and is from some of the words that get cut out when you die cut the Happy Birthday Background Plate.

Next I cut the Happy Birthday Sheet Music die from black and white and stacked them together and glued it to the card front.  Lastly I added green jewels randomly around the card front.

Here's one last look:

Birthday Wishes Bluebird
by Angie Cimbalo

Main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a bluebird birthday card.  Here's a closer look:

Close

To create this card I used white card stock to cut several dies:

 1)  Evergreen Sky Collage

2)  Birch Tree Trunks

3)  Bluebird Prince

Next I cut the Small Nest from cream colored woodgrain paper, a tan color and a darker brown color.  I layered those together for the nest, then started coloring the bird parts with ink daubers.  I used Chipped Sapphire and Brushed Corduroy, plus Fossilized Amber and Carved Pumpkin for the beak and crown.

After assembling the bird, I glued him to the nest.  On my white card base I added a navy blue panel cut down a little more than 1/2 inch, and the Evergreen Sky panel down by another 1/2 inch.  I inked that panel at the top with blue ink.

Next I added the birch trees first (behind the sky panel) and then added the Evergreen Sky Panel on top of that.  I added the bird with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the Birthday Chic stamp set, heat embossed in white on navy card stock.  I trimmed it down and popped it up on foam tape, then added some blue jewels to finish off my card.  Here's one last look:

I just love that little bird and the nest too!  I hope you like my card for today!  Be sure to check out all the wonderful goodies available from Memory Box.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Heart
by Angie Cimbalo

Heart main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a heart birthday card made with lots of goodies from new and past releases.

Here's a closer look at my card:

Heart close

First, let talk about the background heart.  It's made with white card stock and it's dry embossed with the hot foil plate called "Blissful Heart."  (MBFO14)  After embossing, I used the Double Stitched Loving Heart Cut Out (94359) the two largest sizes.  I used pink card stock from the "Berry Red Collection" (SP1001) to create a frame for my embossed heart.  After adding the frame to the heart, I popped the heart up with foam tape on the card front.

I used the new "Birthday Party Cake" (94862) and cut it out of glitter paper from the "Graceful Garden Glitter Pad" (GP1002) and the "Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad" (GP1001) plus from the same pink paper in the heart.  I pieced together the cake parts using Glossy Accents as the glitter paper adheres to paper and to other glitter paper easily with it instead of glue.  Once the cake was assembled I added it to the heart front.

The sentiment is the brand new "Happy Birthday Marker Script" (94870) and cut from white card stock and the darker pink glitter paper, put together and added to the top of the card with foam tape.  I took the banners and squiggles from the glitter pad cuts and added them to the card front as if they are coming out of the sentiment or from the back of the heart.  Lastly I added "Clear Fairy Drops" (CLD101) around the card front.

Here's one last look at the card:

I hope you like my heart birthday card for today!  It was super fun to create - happy crafting my friends!

Party Time Happy Birthday
by Angie Cimbalo

Bday 1

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a fun birthday card using products from the new January release.  Here's a closer look at my card:

Bday close

I used the new EF1048 Party Time 3D embossing folder and dies set (I didn't use the dies) along with the coordinating 88633 Party Time stencils to creat my background.  I used 3 inks, pink, yellow and teal.  Once embossed and stenciled, I cut it down slightly more than 1/2 inch on the top and the side, matted it on a black panel cut to 5" X 3.75."  The Happy Birthday Celebration Script die 94866 was cut from both black for the shadow, and cut the words from an inked panel (using the same 3 colors of ink.)

After gluing the sentiment together, I popped it up on foam dots for dimension.  Here's one last look at my card:

Smooth Embossing Folder Inking
by Angie Cimbalo

Pink main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a very easy yet beautiful card you can create using products from the newest 2025 Happy Birthday Release!  Today I am using the:

EF1024 Breezy Bouquet 3D embossing folder and die set and the coordinating

CL5277 Breezy Bouquet Clear Stamp and die set

The look you get with this technique reminds me of several Japanese vases my mom had from the 1950's when we came back from my father's being stationed in Okinawa, Japan.  She kept these beautiful vases on her dresser in her bedroom.  I believe they were called Wedgewood Blue Jasperware, you can Google that and see pictures of them.

Here's a close up look:

Pink close

The technique I used to ink the debossed of the embossing folder is to use a medium soft brayer (I use the black Tim Holtz one) and your glass mat.  I've tried often to ink embossing folders in many different ways, but this is the only way I have found that make a soft smooth layer of color on your background.  Make sure you are putting the ink on the debossed side.

To make it smooth, take your ink pad (I used Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy) and put lots of ink on your glass mat, directly with pad on the glass  mat.  Next take your brayer and bray over the ink over and over until your glass mat has a very smooth even color of ink BEFORE you take the brayer directly to the debossed side of the folder.  You will need to do this about 5 or 6 times - believe me, it takes several coats.  You will actually see the smooth ink forming on the folder with about the 3rd or 4th pass, but just keep going because you won't get a dark enough panel if you stop there.

Once inked lay the cardstock on the dry side of the inside of the embossing folder and close it.  Run it through your die cutting/embossing machine (I used my Platinum 6 machine) and take it out carefully to let it dry.  The floral pattern will be press upward and look stunning.  Be sure to clean your embossing folder while you wait for the ink to dry and also wipe up any excess ink on your glass mat.  I often use a clean piece of cardstock to pick up some of the left over ink, I'll spray it with water to get more of it up on the cardstock.  Now you have any extra pinkish panel you can use for a different card.

The sentiment is from the Breezy Bouquet clear stamp set, heat embossed in white on black cardstock.

Here's one last look at my card:

Pink 1

Now let's take a look at another card I made earlier this month with a technique you can use to achieve almost the same results but with even more texture.  I posted this card on my blog on the release day Jan 3rd.  In case you missed it, here's another look:

Blue main

For this card I used the brayer technique with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina ink the same way that I did the pink one above.

Blue close

Next I took a piece of vellum and used the coordinating floral die from the stamp set to cut the flower out.  Once cut, place it inside the 3D embossing folder taking care to line it up exactly, then run it through your machine to emboss the vellum.  Once embossed, place it on top of the white embossed section of your orginal inked panel.  I used liquid glue under the sentiment to attach the vellum to the raised white embossed part of the blue panel.  To secure it in a few other places, I added just very tiny dots of a dot runner to various places under the vellum so you can't see the adhesive.

Lastly I added a few Fairy Jewels to the card front and the largest flower's center.

Here's one last look:

Blue 2

I hope you like my card for today, I have lots of fun making them!  Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the entire new release!  For more links and info, you can go to my blog here.
