Thanks You and Sympathy Floral Cards
by Angie Cimbalo

Vellum thanks main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today!   I have a card design for you today, that I made for two different purposes. One is a "thank you" card and the other is a "sympathy" card and I used the same technique to create each of these.

The main image was created by dry embossing the large flower from the Cheerful Floral 3D embossing folder (EF1025) on a piece of white card stock and a piece of vellum. Once embossed, I added Distress Inks in Fired Brick and Seedless Preserves on both the debossed side of images - ink pad direct to paper, then used the coordinating die that comes in the Cheerful Floral Clear stamp and die set (CL5278 and CLD5278) I cut both of them out. I did not use the stamp, just the large floral die from the set.

Next I layered the inked vellum piece on top of the inked white panel and adhered them together using a tape runner putting tape only on the darker areas of ink so you can see it. Here's a closer look at the image:

Vellum thanks close

I added that piece to a card base that was 5.5" tall and 3.25" wide. Next I took a piece of A2 card stock (4.25" by 5.5") and added 1/2 inch strips of patterned paper from the Magnolia Grove PP1022 paper pad. Then I added back the the top folding card to the A2 panel right in the middle between the strips of paper. So now when you open the card the patterned paper stays on the inside of the card and only the white part opens up. The sentiment is a new white Circle Tab from the Thank You packed of gold foiled tab sentiment. Lastly I added jewels to the flower centers.

Here's one last look at my card:

The next card was made exactly the same except I used the stamp and die set CL5270 called Elegant Succulents and heat embossed it in white on black card stock. That is the only difference in the cards.

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a fun critter Easter card made with the new Hippity Hoppity Bunny die 94728 and the Layered Lamb die 94730.  I also used the Happy Easter Dover Script Happy Easter 94729.  Here's a close up look:

I cut a piece of Spring Plaid paper PP1012 and inked the edges with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink first.  Then I cut the critter pieces and sentiment from white card stock and then colored some of the parts and the sentiment with alcohol markers.

I popped the purple plaid panel on foam tape for dimension and then added fairy jewels to the card front.  Here's one last look:

Hugs with Anemone Duo
by Angie Cimbalo

Main

Hello and welcome, Angie here today with a "Hugs" card featuring products from the new Anemone Collection.  Here's a close up of the flowers and new "Happy Spring Debut Script" (94779) word die.

Close

I die cut and colored the Anemone Duo die with Distress Inks and colored pencils and then put them together.  I ink blended Distress Saltwater Taffy lightly on a white card stock and put it behind the card front that I had cut with the "Double Stitch Happy Heart Cut-Out" craft die (94361).  Once that was glued behind the heart, I added the two flower buds to the heart but didn't use any of the leaves from the die.  I will save those for a later project.

2

I cut 3 inches off the bottom of the front panel on the bottom and added a strip of striped washi tape and then a panel that was inked with Distress Saltwater Taffy, ink directly to paper.

I cut the shadow Hugs from more inked card stock and the thin letters of the die from white card stock.  Once I glued those together, I added them to the bottom of the heart.  Lastly I added five Pastel Jewels (JWL002) to the card front.  Here's one last look:

I hope you have had a chance to look at all the beautiful products in this latest release!  Be sure to come back each day for more inspiration from the design team.  Thanks and happy crafting!

New Anemone Release Thank You
by Angie Cimbalo

Main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a card created using the brand new "Anemone Collection."  This is a beautiful collection of anemone dies, embossing folders with coordinating dies and  rub-ons, new paper pads and new style word dies.

For my card I used the new "Anemone Drift 3D Embossing folder (EF1041) on white card stock.  I die cut the new "Anemone Bud Duo" (94765) from white card stock and colored them with Distress Inks.  I used the Stitched Layered Circles (30036) to cut circle from "Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad" (FP1002) blue and from a piece of patterned paper from the "Anemone Grove Paper Pad" (PP1026).  I also cut the "Thank You Debut Script" (94775) shadow die from the mirror card stock.  The thinner word die was cut from white card stock and adhered with glue to the shadow die.

2

I glued the circles together then added them to the embossed panel and next I added the colored anemones to the circles.  I actually cut the leaves die into 3 pieces so I could put the leaves where I wanted them.  Next, I added the sentiment and then added that panel to the heavy weight card base.  Finally I used my corner rounder to round 3 of the four corners of the card.

All three pictures of my card were taken from different angles so you could see the mirror cardstock reflection in different places.

Here's one last look at my finished card:

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.  Be sure to check out the whole release on the Memory Box website HERE.  Thanks for stopping by!

Winter Hello
by Angie Cimbalo

Splatter main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a "Winter Hello" card to welcome in the new year!  My card as shown above was misted with water after I completed - here's a photo I took before I sprayed it:

Prior to water droplets

The inks I used and blended on the water and the horizon were Distress Ink and they react so nicely with sprayed water droplets creating lots of extra texture.  Here's a close up look at those splatters:

Splatter close

I cut two of the "Forest Path" die from white card stock and then took one after cutting it and laid it on top of a piece of "Press and Seal."  This way all the tiny pieces stayed together.  I blended Distress Inks in blues, oranges and purples across the top.  I didn't worry about ink getting on the snow drifts because I knew I was going to lay the 2nd "Forest Path" cut from white over the top of the inked one.  So once I was done inking, I added the totally white one on top with liquid glue, all except the river.  I inked the 2nd river in blue and then added it to the bottom layer.

Next I added Fluffy Stuff to simulate snow on the riverbank edges.  Once you heat it up, it puffs up and looks like snow!  I cut two of the "Hello Rush Script" word die and glued them together and used the same ink colors on it, then added it to the card.  I cut birds from white card stock using "Layered Birds" and inked the top layer of each bird with blue ink the glued them together.  I added them to the card along with snowflake sequins from my stash, then sprayed water on the whole card front before adding it to the heavyweight A2 card base.  Here's one last look:

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your new year is off to a great start!  See you next time!

Snowy Happy New Year

Main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a snow filled Happy New Year card!  This time of year is very special for my family as we have several family birthdays during the last week of every year - it's time to celebrate!

To make my card I first took a piece of red cardstock and the new "Snow Flurries stencil" and used some white embossing paste with it to create the falling snow background.  Here's a look at that step.

Process

Once it dried, I added thin strips of white glitter paper to the edges.  Next I cut the 2 snowflake dies from the "Aurora" snowflake die set from the same white glitter paper.  The paper is from the "Delicate Pastel Glitter Paper" pad.

I also cut 3 more of the snowflake background from white cardstock and glued them behind the glitter one.  I added the glitter top layer of snowflake to the glitter stack and then popped it up on the card front.  I heat embossed the sentiment from clear stamp set called "Sweet Christmas," onto black cardstock and then trimmed it to a small rectangle.  To finish my card I added lots of "Christmas Jewels" to the snowflake and the corners of the sentiment.

Here's one last look:

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and wish you the happiest of new years!  Welcome 2024!

Vintage Lantern Merry Christmas
by Angie Cimbalo

Stenciling

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a glittery Christmas card featuring the newly released Vintage Lantern die and the Starlight Snow stencil.  I also used previously released Pine Needle Frame die along with Glitzy Glitter Paper Pad.  Here's a close look at the stenciling I did with Champagne Mist Deco Foil Metallix Gel.

Stenciling

After using the paste/gel on the blue cardstock, I set it aside to dry and then took 2 pieced of gold glitter paper and cut the lantern and pine frame from them.  I inked a separate small piece of white card stock with blue inks to put behind the lantern.  Here's a close up look at the shine from that glitter paper:

Stenciling

I added the pieces of the lantern to build it up and then glued it to the inked background and cut off the excess.  Next I glued the frame around the stenciled panel and popped up the lantern on foam tape.  To finish my card I added one of the white sentiment tabs that were also released just recently.

Here's one last look at my card:

Stenciling

I hope you like my glittery card for today.  I loved creating it and can't wait to send it to someone special!

Wood Slice Christmas Ornaments
by Angie Cimbalo

All 3 main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today and I have some fun ornaments I made for Christmas gifts with dies from the newest holiday release and pre-cut wood slices.  Here's a look at my first ornament:

3rd ornament main

To make this ornament, I used the new Poinsettia Rub-Ons directly on to one of my wood slices as seen below:

Prep 1

Prep 2

Once I had the rub ons on the wood slice, I took some brown Distress Ink and added it to the wood edges.

Prep 3

Next I cut the Brilliant Joy die from the Fester Glitter Pack, 2 colors, a silvery gold and dark green.  If you cut both dies from each color, since one die has it's own outline, you get enough parts to make 3 whole Joy sentiment.  I used one and saved the other two for a later project.

Prep 7

Next I worked on another ornament use more of the blue shades of rub on's.  Here's a look:

Prep 4

I basically did the same think on this ornament, just used different colors. On this one I did not add brown ink to the edges, and the sentiment was made from the Glitzy Glitter and Vintage Pastel Glitter pads.  Here's a look at the completed ornament.

1st ornament main

I wanted to make one more ornament so I for this one I used new Aurora Snowflake die set for it.  As you can see below I cut several of the background snowflake from glitter paper.  For this ornament I used only the Vintage Pastel Glitter pad.  I cut 2 from the lighter color and one from the blue and then I cut the intricate center die from the lighter glitter paper.  I glued it onto the blue background with Glossy Accents - this really helps it stick and works lots better than liquid glue on the glitter side.  I added lots of jewels and gems to the main snowflake and then got ready to add them to the wood slice.

Prep 5

I glued the two light ones to each other with Glossy Accents and then the blue one on top of those two using Glossy Accents and then putting something heavy on it while it dried as you can see below:

Prep 6

Once it was dried, I was ready to drill holes in the top of each wood slice and and add a string hanger for each of them.  Here's another look at all three ornaments.

All 3 1

I hope you like the ornament gifts I made for today's post.  I really had so much fun creating them with the new holiday dies from the 2023 Christmas Release.  Be sure to come back tomorrow and every day for more inspiration from the design team and happy crafting my friends!

Winter Tree Arch Christmas Cards
by Angie Cimbalo

Card 2 close

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with two Christmas cards featuring the new Winter Tree Arch die along with lots of other dies from the newest 2023 Christmas release.

Here's a closer look at my first card:

Card 2 close

As you can see I used Delicate Pastel Glitter pad paper to cut the tree arch die along with the Merry Christmas Charmed Script and the Aurora Snowflake Frame die, all new dies from the release.  I took a piece of white cardstock and added lots of Distress Inks in shades of reds and then used the Nested Globes die set (3rd largest in the set) to cut out the red background for my glitter trees.  I also inked an extra piece of the red so I could cut the sentiment from it too.

You can see that I pieced the two sentiment dies, red and glitter together.  Now I had two sentiments to chose from, either glitter outline and red inside, or the opposite.  I chose the glitter outline with the red insert letters.  I'm saving the other one for another project.

I glued the frame glitter die to the card front and then the trees to the red globe.  Next I added the globe to the card front.  I cut the Layered Evergreen Trees dies from 2 colors of green cardstock from the Lush Green paper pad and glued them together then added them to the card front.  I added the sentiment right on top of everything.

One tip I have for liquid glue on the glitter paper is to use Glossy Accents if you need to adhere something to the glitter side.  It works much better than regular liquid glue and dries stronger too.

One other tip for cutting intricate dies from the glitter pad papers is to run it through your die cutting machines several times.  The glitter paper is very sturdy and thick.  Running it through multiple times will really help it cut perfectly.

Here's one last look:

Card 2 b

Now on to card #2:

Card 1 main

For card number two, I cut a Nested Globe from glitter paper to put behind my die cut white tree arch.  I cut the size arch that was slightly smaller than the tree arch because I wanted the branches to hang over into the card base's white space.  I added the tree arch to the globe piece, then cut Pine Tree Grove dies from the same two colors of green card stock.  After putting them together I added them to the globe.  Here's a close up look:

Card 1 close

I cut the globe bottom with the Nested Globe base die set, using the largest of those dies.  Each base has the main piece plus two thin edges you add on top of the base.  I cut all that from kraft cardstock and added red inks to the two thin edges before adding them to the globe base.  I added the globe base to the globe and took the left over Merry Christmas Charmed Script die and added it toward the bottom of the globe.  To finish my card I added a few small snowflake embellishments from my stash, 3 on the globe top and six across the base.  Here's one last look:

Card b

I hope you like my cards for today and I've inspired you with these designs.  Be sure to come back every day to see the lovely inspiration from the design team.  Thanks so much for stopping by and happy creating!

Hummingbird Joy
by Angie Cimbalo

Card main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a holiday card featuring the new Layered Hummingbird, Classic Pine Needle Springs and Brilliant Joy dies from the latest release.  I combined it with a previously released die called Forest Pine Branch.

Here's a closer look:

Card close

I cut the bird, branch and some of the pine sprigs from white card stock and then I cut more sprigs from 2 different colors from the Fresh Aqua paper pack.  I stacked one white and one of each of the other two aqua colors and glued them together at the base stem slightly offset from each other.  I wanted the branches to seem really full so by doing this it gives a lot more dimension and texture to the whole card.

I colored the branch and bird with alcohol markers.  The original branch die had pine springs on it but I cut them off to use the springs from the new classic set of dies.  I added the branch with the new tri-stacked sprigs and then popped the bird up on the branch.  Here's another look:

Card close

The Joy die cut was cut from white and black glitter paper, the black is from the Glitzy Glitter pack and the white is from the Vintage Pastel Glitter pack.  I cut the background die from the black and the other die from the white.  This die is very cool because it also has an outline inside the 2nd word die.  So when you cut both dies from 2 different colored papers, you can make a combination of three complete word dies which saves lots of time, and you have 2 extra word dies to use on other cards.  One tip I have if you need to glue something to the glitter paper, it's a lot easier to use Glossy Accents and it adheres with a much more permanent bond.

Here's one last look:

Card close

I hope you like my Christmas card for today, it's super easy to make and I think it looks so very festive.  I know just who I will be sending this card to!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope your holiday season is wonderful.
