Garden Beauties Encouragment Card
by Angie Cimbalo

Blue butterfly main

Hello, it's Angie here today with a card featuring the new Garden Beauties die set (94894)along with two stamp sets previously released.

Here's a closer look at my card:

Blue butterfly close

To create my card I took some Thai paper and metallic paper (more about the papers I used can be found on my blog post HERE) and used the metallic to cut the butterflies from.  I also heat embossed with white embossing powder on vellum the large flower from Cheerful Floral stamp set and coordinatig die set. (CL5278)

I took the Thai paper and cut it slightly larger than my card base panel of metallic paper so I could add adhesive to the back and fold over the edges to secure them.  The paper is quite thin so I didn't want any adhesive to show through to the front.  I added the vellum piece and then the metallic butterflies and some Christmas Jewels to the bodies.  To finish my card I heat embossed the Elegant Succulents stamp set (CL5270) in white on black card stock.  I fussy cut it out and popped it up on foam squares to finish my card.  Here's one last look:

I hope you like my card for today!  For links to supplies I used, click here to be taken to my blog.  Thanks so much for stoping by!

Happy crafting my friends!

to make this card

  • use the second largest of the Heritage Rectangle Frames to cut a piece of black glossy paper and add this to the front of the note card with the fold at the left side
  • use the third largest of the Heritage Rectangle Frames to cut a scrap of purple card stock
  • stamp the wildflowers on the purple panel using VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink and emboss with clear embossing powder; add this stamped purple panel in the lower right corner of the black panel
  • die cut the bodies of the Gypsy Butterflies from the black glossy paper
  • die cut the detailed butterfly wings from the purple Rainbow Reflections Mirror card stock
  • die cut the solid butterfly wings from a purple plaid in the Gladiola Plaid paper pack; assemble the butterflies
  • use dimensional foam dots to add the butterflies to the purple panel overlapping a bit onto the black glossy paper

This, too, is another design that can be replicated in any number of colorways.  Think blues, turquoises, yellows, oranges...really any one color in mirror card, plaid or print papers, a coordinated solid color, and that perfect black glossy paper. There's lots of shine on this card from the black glossy paper, the mirror card stock, the black embossed flowers, and the foil greeting tab.   This design will also work for almost any occasion--just change up the circle tab or add an appropriate sentiment on the front or inside.

Happy Crafting!

Distress Ink Sympathy
by Laura Fulcher

Membox1

Greetings friends. I wanted to share a sympathy card with you today. It might not be the happiest card to share on a weekend, but sympathy cards are often hard to make. I recommend having a few on hand so that you aren't making a card when you suddenly need a sympathy card.

To make this design, I first sponged a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of white cardstock with four colors of Distress Oxide Ink:

IMG_4705

Next, I lightly spritzed the paper with water to give the paper a mottled look:

IMG_4706

I stamped my wildflowers onto the background using black Versafine ink and then added a frame I made using two sizes of the Heritage Rectangle Frame die set:

IMG_4709

The last step was to add a sympathy sentiment that I stamped onto a white circle. I trimmed the bottom off of the circle so that it would be flush with the frame.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Reverse-Color a Vellum Blossom

Stamp, emboss and color the reverse side of a bold vellum blossom from our Summer Meadow release for a summer thank you card.  Hi, Jean here with a quick way to color and highlight the details of the design.  It's also a very forgiving technique because coloring the backside of the stamped image hides any smudges and you color right over the internal lines - instead of trying to stay inside the lines of each section.

Prep heavy white vellum with the embossing powder tool to eliminate unwanted specks.  Stamp the blossom with VersaMark and heat-emboss it with detail white powder.  Ink the reverse side of the image using cotton swabs and pigment inks.  I used Morocco and Dandelion Memento Luxe and Pearlescent Thyme Brilliance.  Gently heat-set the inks, let it cool, then diecut the design with the 3-1/2" wide Nested Globes die.

Cut light peach cardstock with the 2-1/2" wide Nested Globes die.

Cut a 1" x 6" strip of the fine-lined gold and peach Poppystamps Birthday Fun 6x6.  Cut the peach and gold-dotted Birthday Fun 6x6 with the 1" wide Nested Globes die.  Trim the corners of the 6" strip - and the bottom corners of the Nested Globe diecuts - with a corner rounding punch.

Attach the diecuts and the strip to a white A6 card (4-1/2" x 6-1/4").  Use small pieces of double-stick tape on the inked areas of the design - they won't be visible through the inks.

Attach a Thank You Foil Greetings White Circle Tab.  Add 1/4" punched dots of the green Graceful  Garden Glitter Pad 6x6.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card fron for mailing.

Thanks for visiting - have a great weekend!

Hello Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_0914 (1)

Hello everyone!  Today's card uses paper scraps that we all have laying around, along with dies from the 2025 Summer Meadow release.

IMG_0916

I began by covering a white cardstock panel with double sided tape and adhering strips of patterned paper to it.  I used all sizes of  paper strips and adhered them at an angle to add some interest to the background.  I trimmed the excess paper from the panel, mounted it on a gold metallic cardstock mat and used foam tape to glue it to a white card base.

Next I die cut the Butterfly outlines from black cardstock and the shadow pieces from yellow patterned paper and vellum.  I glued the butterfly outlines to the vellum, adhered them to the patterned cardstock and glued them to the card.

The word Hello was die cut from gold metallic cardstock, glued to a black cardstock shadow die cut and adhered to the center of the card.

IMG_0915 (1)

To finish the card, I added gold metallic pearls to give it some shine.

I hope you have a great day!

Fuchsia Thank You Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  I have another card using the Heritage Rectangle Frame die set.  This time I use the Rectangle Basics to turn it into an actual frame for fuchsias

892AB033-FD08-45DA-ABE0-282F10463130

Background and Frame:

Die cut the largest die from the Heritage Rectangle die set from heavy white card stock.  Then take the 3rd largest die from the Rectangle Basics set and die cut to create the frame.  Add some thin strips of foam tape on the backside of the frame.  Trim the hot pink paper with the white floral patterned from the Brilliant Fuchsia pack to A2 size.

Flowers:

Die cut the Lavish Fuchsia Stem die set from heavy white card stock.  Ink blend with Distress Oxide inks in  Bundled Sage, Spun Sugar, and Shaded Lilac.  Adhere together using the envelope as a guide.

Assembly:

Adhere the pattern paper to aha white side folder A2 size card. Adhere the frame to the paper.  Adhere the leaves and stems to the upper middle of the card.  Then advise the flowers to the stems.  Adhere a Thank You Foil Greeting White Circle tab to the lower right hand corner.

Gypsy Swallow-tail at Sunrise
by Samantha Pfrimmer

June 1

Hello everyone! It is my very first post on the Memory Box Blog and I could not be happier to have joined this wonderful team.  Today I am featuring a sweet Thank You card featuring the new Gypsy Swallow-tail Die and the Magnolia Leaf Branch.

Background:

To create the ink-blended background I first made a stencil from an A2 panel of 80lb white cardstock and the third largest die from the new Heritage Rectangles Frames set as shown, making sure to save the inner frame for a future project.  Next, using low-tack tape, I tape my paper stencil to another white A2 panel and I gently ink-blended a sunrise scene using Dye Inks from Altenew: Butternut, Peachy Keen, and Tangerine Dream.  Once my ink-blending was complete I add a little gold splatter with my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors metallic watercolor pan set.

June How To

Gypsy Swallow-Tail:

I die cut the elements using 3 complementary colors from the Sunrise paper pack and glued the pieces together following the guide on the back of the packaging.

Magnolia Leaf Branch:

I die cut the main branch and leaves from both 80lb white cardstock and Kraft cardstock from my stash.   I used Distress Oxide Ground Espresso to darken the branch portion of the main die-cut cut from Kraft and I used Altenew Green Opal Dye ink to color the leaves attached to the branch.  For the remaining leaf die-cuts cut from white cardstocl,  I used a combination of Altenew Green Opal and Mossy Meadows Die Inks.  I glued everything together as shown on the back of the packaging, also attaching my extra white branch die-cut for added dimension.

Assembly:

I attached the branch to the background panel as shown with glue.   Next, I attached the Gypsy Swallow-tail using thick and thin foam tape for added dimension.  To finish everything off, I added a black and gold foil “Thank You” sentiment tab and attached my finished panel to a folding A2-sized card-base.

Wildflower Wishes
by Angie Cimbalo

IMG_6140

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a pretty wildflower card made with goodies from some of the latest releases.

Here's a closer look at my card:

IMG_6143

To create my card I took a piece of turquoise card stock and stamped the Wildflower Field background stamp CS2086 in Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with copper/gold embossing powder.  Next I colored the image with Zig Clean Color markers, a gold and a white paint pen.  I used the Cherish Scallped Frames die set, (the largest one in the set) to cut out my card front and then added it to a top fold white card base.  The sentiment is from Sunshine and Wildflowers stamp set CL5290 heat embossed in white. I added some gold paint pen inside the dots between the hearts and then added a few white hearts left over from a previous project for some extra interest.

Here's one last look:

Be sure to come back each day for more inspiration from the team!  Happy crafting my friends!
