Butterfly Birthday Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  The new Summer Meadow release is here.  I am loving the new Heritage Rectangle Frame die and all the beautiful stamp.  Today have a card with a layout featuring the frame dies on a slimline card.

Pict1

Background:

Trim white card stock to 4" x 6 1/2". Heat rose gold emboss the Sunshine and Wildflower Clear stamp on the bottom of the paper. Die cut the middle Heritage Rectangle Frame starting at the bottom middle of the stamp and move up and die cut 2 more times to create 3 panels with 2 of them having the flowers.  Next ink blend each panel using Distress ink in Bundle Sage, Speckled Egg, and Salty Ocean.  On the top panel gold heat emboss the Happy birthday to you sentiment from the Sunshine and Wildflower Clear stamp.  Gold heat emboss around the edges of all 3 panels.  Just take your embossing ink pad and run it around the edges and add the embossing power and heat.

Butterflies:

Die cut the bottom layer of the Gypsy Butterflies die set from white card stock and the top and body from gold paper from the Rainbow Reflections Mirror pad.  Ink blend the 2 butterflies using Distress ink in Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar, Lumberjack Plaid, and Dusty Concord.  Glue on the top layer and body using the envelope as a guide.

Assembly:

Trim 2 pcs of white card stock to 4" x 7 1/4". Score 1/4" from the top of the panels and add adhesive and adhere behind the other panel to create a card.  Adhere the 3 panels in order centering them on the card.  Adhere the butterflies at apposing angles at the top and bottom of the card.
