Happy Birthday, Favorite Person! by Anne Thompson

For today's card I chose to make another birthday card featuring several of the dies and one of the clear stamps from the 2025 Birthday Wishes Collection.

 
materials used

• blank white A2 note card
• white and black card stock scraps
• scraps of teal-ish glitter paper and teal mirror card stock
• a piece of teal plaid paper from YULETIDE PLAID 1031
• a tiny black bow from my ribbon box
• HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHEET MUSIC 94851
• CELEBRATION BALLOONS 94860

• BIRTHDAY CHIC CLEAR STAMPS SET CL5288

to make this card

• cut a piece of black card stock 4 X 5 1/4 and add it to the front of the note card
• cut a piece of teal plaid 3 3/4 X 5 and add it to the front of the note card
• die cut Happy Birthday Sheet Music and Happy Birthday Chic Script from black card stock
• die cut Celebration Balloons and the accent pieces from Lucky Blooms from the teal mirror card stock
• die cut the blossoms from Lucky Blooms from the scrap of glitter paper
• assemble the blossoms and the accent pieces to form one flower
• place the sheet music on an angle from low middle to high right on the plaid paper
• stamp "you're my favorite person" in black VersaFine Nocturne ink on a scrap of white card stock; trim and mount on a scrap of the plaid; trim and mount on a scrap of black card stock; add to the card front (low middle, right)
• use dimensional foam to add the assembled flower to the lower left part of the sentiment
• add "happy" in the upper left and "birthday" at the bottom of the plaid panel
• tie teal thread onto three of the balloons and use dimensional foam to add then to the card front
• pull the threads tightly together at the bottom left corner and add a black ribbon bow

I love this design!  I can imagine it in a variety of color-ways depending on the recipient or the season of the year--pinks or blues or reds or greens; plaids or prints or stripes; more glitter papers or mirror card stock.  So many possibilities!
