Happy Birthday Bees
by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a cute card featuring the new Buzzing Bumblebees die set.

Here's a super close up of the bee dies:

I cut the bee pieces from both white and some watercolor panels I have left over.  I also cut the Bachyard Floral Sems 94638 from the same papaers plus from black for a shadow.  I re-cut just the top flowers from some more of the lighter yellow/orange colors and paper pieced them up top on the stems to match the bees better.

The backgrounds are 2 pieces of woodgrain paper from Memory Box, cut with 2 sizes of the Curved Cap Pinpoint Layers die set 94646.  The white one was inked with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and the kraft one was inked with Brushed Cordouroy Distress Ink and an ink blending tool.

After adding all the die cuts to the blue inked panel, I added it to the brown one and then popped both of those panels together on to the white card base with foam tape.

I really love using the woodgrain papers from Memory Box because with just so little inking, all that texture comes through and provides a lovely texture to your backgrounds!  Here's one last look:
