Snowflake Joy
by Angie Cimbalo

2

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a fun winter card featuring new release items from the latest 2024 Yuletide release!  Here's an up close look at all the textures and dies:

3

I used both kraft and white "Woodgrain Paper" for this card.  On the kraft I used the "Falling Snowflakes Stencil" with some white embossing paste to create the extra texture of the snowflakes.  After it dried I framed it by using 2 of the largerst dies from the "Fringed Scalloped Frame Set" cut from the white woodgrain paper.  I cut the pinecones twice from 2 shades of brown card stock and after putting them together I used 3 of them and 2 sets of the pine leaves that come in this same die set called "Pine Cone Duo."  The pine leaves were cut from the "Greenery" paper pack.

I cut out the "Snowflake Joy" die from the same green and some white card stock and layered them, then put everything on the card with pop dots.  Finally I added jewels in pastel green from the "Pastel Jewels" pack and red jewels from the "Christmas Jewels" pack to simulate tiny berries.  Here is one last look:

I hope you like my card for today, it has lots of fun new products combined on it and so much texture in real life!

Thanks for stopping by!

Brilliant Berries, Pine Branches & Falling Snowflakes
by Angie Cimbalo

MB berries 1

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a fun winter card featuring lots of goodies from the latest release!

Here's a close up look:

MB berries close

I started with the new Falling Snowflakes stencil 88627 and on a piece of turqoise paper I added clear sparkle paste through the stencil with a palette knife.  Once it dried I use Faded Jeans Distress Ink to cover the panel, darker toward the outsides of the panel.  Once the dark blue was on it, you could see the turquoise snowflakes covered by the paste like an ink resist.   I forgot to take a picture of it with just the dried paste on it, so I am showing you another panel I made with a different stencil so you can see what it looked like before I added the dark blue ink.

Next I cut the new Pine Branches 948817 from white card stock and the Brilliant Berries 94730 from brown and red card stocks and glued them all together in the center of the panel.  I added the Bello Joy 94763 sentiment which was cut from white and colored with alcohol markers from light to dark for an ombre effect.  Lastly I added some white gel pen to the red berries to help them pop.  Here's one last look:

I hope you like my card for today.  I love the contrast of the dark against the white and then the added pop of red!  So festive!  Be sure to come back each day for more inspiration from the design team!

Yuletide Notes of Joy by Jean Okimoto

Joyful holiday notes dance across a Wavy Sheet Music background.  I used the detailed die to pressure-emboss it instead of diecutting to create a textured background.  The new Watchful Bird combines felt and mirror cardstock for dimension.  Hi, Jean here with more designs from our 2024 Yuletide Collection.

There's a lot going on here - there are so many ways to combine the new designs from our holiday collection.  Let's start with the background.  Cut the smoother side of watercolor paper with the 5" x 3-¾" Rectangle Basics die. Trim it with a corner-rounding punch.  Spritz both sides of the paper with a light mist of water to prep it for pressure embossing.  Emboss it with the new Wavy Sheet Music die using the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine.

Attach Scor-Tape behind black cardstock (use lightweight cardstock if possible). Cut two sets of the Wavy Sheet Music notes.

Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to red wool-blend felt and cut the new Watchful Bird.  I cut all of the sections to mix and match the diecuts for different variations of the bird later.  Cut the detailed top layer from the red Rainbow Reflections mirror cardstock 6x6.  Cut the backing for the beak and eye from a orangey-yellow Sunrise Solid Core 6x6.  Color the eye area with a black marker.  Assemble the bird.

Attach Scor-Tape to a bright red Blush Solid Core 6x6.  Cut it with the new Bello Joy background.  Cut the detailed top layer of the greeting from watercolor paper.  Remove the inner pieces.  Attach the top layer to the adhesive-covered background.  Sprinkle detail clear embossing powder over the exposed adhesive  and heat-emboss it to attach the greeting and create a glossy red background.

Cut the new Pine Branches from a dark green 6x6 in the Greenery Solid Core pack.

Cut the berries from the new Festive Holly set from a bright red Glitzy Glitter Pad 6x6.

Attach the diecuts to a natural A6 card (6-¼" x 4-½") that trimmed with a corner rounding punch - use foam tape for the bird's head and tail.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing

Let it Snow - 2024 Yuletide Release
by Angie Cimbalo

Main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a cute winter card featuring products from our newest release - 2024 Yuletide!

Here's a closer look at the skiing bear called Wintertime Bear 94819:

Close

This bear can be cut to be skiing or ice skating so there are lots of possibilities!

I cut all the bear cuts from white card stock and then colored them with alcohol markers and a white gel pen.  I added him to a piece of trimmed red card stock from the Blush paper pack SP1012, added a black piece slightly large to make a frame.  I popped the whole panel up on foam tape to the background panel.

The background was made with the new Winter Knit 3D embossing folder EF1044 and then inked with red ink on the embossed side.  Once it was all put together, I added the embossed panel to the front of a heavy weight card base.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the newest stamp set called Holiday Wishes CL5286 in white on black card stock, then trimmed it and added it to the bear panel.

Here's one last look:

I hope you like my fun snow skiing bear card!  Be sure to check out all the new goodies in the newest release - 2024 Yultide!

Greetings from the Piney Woods
by Anne Thompson

Happy Christmas in July!  The new Memory Box 2024 Yuletide Collection is here!

Today's card features all thing pine--SLENDER PINE TREES 94796, PINE BRANCHES 94817, green papers from YULETIDE PLAID PP1031, and a pine branches paper from YULETIDE CHEER PP1032.

Unnamed-5 (1)

I started with a white top-fold A2 note card and covered the front with the pine branches paper from the YULETIDE CHEER PP1032 6X6 paper pad.

Unnamed-4 (1)

I die cut two sets of the PINE BRANCHES 98417 from one of the green plaid 6X6 papers in the YULETIDE PLAID PP1031 pad.

Unnamed (1)

I used another sheet of the same plaid to die cut the SLENDER PINE TREES 94796.

Unnamed-7 (1)

To assemble the card I cut a piece of light blue card stock 3 X 4 1/4.  I used a glue pen to add the trees to the panel.  I then glued on the Pine Branches, stacking them up in the empty space in the lower right quadrant.  I attached the panel to the front of the note card.

Unnamed-6 (1)

To finish the card I added a large white satin ribbon bow at the base of the branches stems.  To balance the weight in the lower part of the card I placed several clear circular jewels in three sizes among the tree tops.

Unnamed-5 (1)

I could actually send this card anytime and add an appropriate sentiment in the space under the panel or inside the note card.  This card came together quickly and reminds me of the piney woods near my childhood home.

Be sure to check out the Yuletide Collection here.  Keep checking the blog every day for inspiration from the Memory Box Design Team.  And it's not too early to start making those holiday cards!

Happy Crafting!

Joy with New 2024 Yuletide Release
by Angie Cimbalo

MB joy main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here with some brand new release goodies from the latest 2024 Yuletide release!  Here's a close up of my card:

MB joy close

The main body of the card was created by first dry embossing an A2 size panel (4.25" by 5.5") of card stock with the brand new "Frosted Trees" EF1045 3D embossing folder.  Once embossed I put ink on it direct from ink pad to paper.  I used both "Iced Spruce" and "Speckled Egg" Distress Oxide ink to get this color.  Next I die cut the new "Bello Joy" word die 94763 twice from white card stock.  I colored one them with pink and red markers and then combined the colored and non colored pieces together.  This means I have a 2nd die with the extra parts left over ready to use on another card!

Lastly I added lots of "Christmas Jewels" to the trees for sparkle and interest!

Here's one last look:

I hope you like my card for today!  Be sure to check out the whole new release - it is really one of the most amazing yet!  Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas with New 2024 Yuletide Release
by Angie Cimbalo

MB MC main

Hello and welcome!  It's Angie here today with another holiday card featuring goodies from the new Yuletide releaase.  Here's a close up of my card:

MB MC 2

The background for my card is a panel dry embossed wit the brand new "Pinecone & Berries" 3D embossing folder EF1043.   I next cut all the dies from the "Festive Holly" die set 94801 from white card stock and used alcohol markers to color them before putting them together.  I cut 2 sets of the dies so I could have lots of holly to work with.

After coloring them I then cut the "Merry Christmas Debut Script" die from white and colored it with pinks and red to get an ombre look.  I left the larger background die in the set white and added the colored letters to the top of it with liquid glue.  Lastly I added lots of green jewels from the Christmas jewels pack for some sparkle and shine!

Here's one last look:

MB MC 3 7.2024

I hope you like my card for today - I think the brand new release is one of the best ever.  So many lovely products, dies, papers, stencils, embossing folders, and a hot foil plate too!  Check it out, you will be glad you did!  Thanks for stopping by!
