Hello everyone. Although fun, my card today is a bit out of my comfort zone. ๐ I used the Buzzing Bumblebees and Happy Birthday Breezy Script dies from the current 2024 Fuchsia release.
Started with the background. Yellow alcohol inks in two shades and white mixatives were dropped onto a mini hexagon gelli plate. Added rubbing alcohol and used a hand blower to get the inks moving. When satisfied, pressed a piece of alcohol friendly cardstock onto it and pulled the print. I made a couple of attempts. Splattered with diluted black gouache paint for even more texture then set aside to dry.
The bee layers were then die cut from white paper and coloured with Copic Sketch marker Y15 and a memento Tuxedo Black marker. Shading on their wings was done with a C1 Copic Sketch marker.
The sentiment was die cut from magenta Rainbow Reflections mirror paper. Snipped โBirthdayโ apart to isolate the โBโ and โdayโ. The B was die cut two more times and stacked to give it a floating effect. After all, the bees are carrying it. ๐ Assembled the card onto a white card base, then added a few clear Fairy drops to finish.
And that does it for my card. Thank you for joining me today. Have a wonderful day.
