Happy Birthday Card by Donna Sledzik

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today's card features more new products from the Spring Cheer Release.  

I began by creating a background for my card, by die cutting a circle in the middle of a piece of masking paper.  I used Gina K Designs, Masking Magic Paper and Masking Magic Strips.

I placed the die cut masking paper over a white cardstock panel and then adhered 1/8" masking strips across the circle.  I used a blending brush to apply purple inks to the circle. I started with the lightest purple on the top and ended with the darkest purple.

I removed the strips of masking paper, leaving the die cut circle mask in place and lightly inked around the edge of the circle.

I removed the masking paper and glued the background panel to a gold metallic mat.  Next, I used foam tape to adhere it to a white card base.

I die cut the Clara Blooms from white cardstock and used a blending brush to add color to the flowers and leaves.

I arranged the flowers and leaves around the circle and glued them in place.  

To finish the card, I glued a Happy Birthday Foil Strip to the canter of the circle.
