Fanciful Gladiola Birthday Card by Sara Cook

Hi everyone! I have a bold colored birthday card featuring the new Gladiola release dies and papers.

Sentient:

Select a Happy Birthday Greetings Black Circle Tab. Cover with Ranger's Glossy Accents and let completely dry.

Flowers:

Die cut the Fanciful Gladiola Stem flowers from the purple paper from the Lagoon paper pad. Ink blend all except the tops of the flowers with Distress Oxide Villainous Potion. Lightly ink blend the bottom full layer with Oxide Black Soot. Die cut the stem and the leaves fro Budding Gladiola Stem from black card stock. Adhere the flowers together and the leaves together. Paint around all elements with gold paint. Adhere the flowers and the stem.

Back ground:

Cut the purpler with gold folded leaves paper from the Glimmering Gladiola pad to 4" x 5 1'4". Ink blend around the edges with Oxide Black Soot and then pain the edge with gold paint. Adhere foam tape to the back of the panel. Die cut the 2nd largest Postage Rectangle Layers fro darkest green paper from Greenery pad. Reposition the die cut over 1/3 of the way, lining up the indents, and die cut again. Splatter with gold paint. Adhere foam tape to the back.

Butterfly:

Die cut a small butterfly fro the Exquisite Butterflies fro heavy weight vellum and the body from black card stock. Use a purple paint pen to color the wings. Paint the ends of the wings with gold pain. Adhere the body to the center of the wings.

Assembly:

Adhere a black A2 panel to a white A2 card. Adhere the pattern paper to the center of the card front then the postage die cut to the left side of the center of the pattern paper. Adhere the tallest leaf to the left side of the green paper and the smaller to the right. Adhere the flower stem over the leaves. Adhere the sentiment to the lower right of the green stamp. Adhere the butterfly above the sentiment.
