Spring Bird Birthday Card

Hi everyone.  I have a happy spring birthday card featuring the new Sitting Sparrow die.  I am loving all the layering birds and creating differs cards with them.  They are easy to color and layer for a beautiful look.

Bird:

Die cut the Sitting Sparrow from white card stock.  Ink blend using a small blending brush and Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, and Scorched Timber.  Use the lighter color first as on the bottom layers and the darker colors for the top layers.  For the beak use Oxide Squeezed Lemonade. Use a black gel pen to dolor in the eye.  Adhere the layers together with glue.

Flowers:

Die cut the Clara Blooms from white card stock.  Ink blend with small blending brush and Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade for the center and Broken Glass and Milled Lavender.  for the flower ink blend heavy on the end with Broken Glass then ink blend from the end to the middle of petal with Milled Lavender. Shape the flowers using your fingers and then adhere together using the envelope as a guide.

Branch:

Die cut the Magnolia Leaf Branch from white card stock.  ink lend with a small blending brush and Distress Oxide Vintage Photo and Scorched Timber for the branch and Peeled Paint and Scorched Timber for the leaves.

Assembly:

Make a 6" x 4" white card.  Trim a light blue paper from the Lagoon paper ad to 6" x 3" and had to the center of the card using foam tape.  Cut and adhere 1/8" strips of gold card stock from the Rainbow Reflection Mirror pad.  Adhere the branch and leaves across the front of the card.  Adhere the flowers to each side and the bird to the upper center of the branch.   Adhere a Happy Birthday white circle tab to the lower left side.
