Happy Easter Bunny Card
by Laura Fulcher

IMG_4358

Greetings Friends. To those of you who celebrate it, I wish you a very happy Easter. In honor of the holiday, I chose to use the Festive Bunny for today's card. He is just so dapper in his jacket.

I also want to talk about a mistake you can make on your cards as I did with this one. I glued my bunny and basket die cuts down before I checked to see if my sentiment would still fit. It did not, so I had to add it to the inside:

IMG_4360

This is just a friendly reminder to figure out the arrangement of all of the pieces before you start to glue things down!

To make the card, I cut out the bunny and his outfit using some of the Lagoon pack papers as well as patterned paper from the Anemone Grove paper pack. On my first try, I used teal paper for the vest, but I soon found out that patterned paper showed the vest off much better.

I cut the Easter eggs out with white cardstock and colored them with various Copic markers. I did it this way so that I could cut eggs out one time and color them rather than die cut lots of different colors of paper.

Here is a close up of the card:

Two Plaid Cards - New Spring Cheer Release
by Angie Cimbalo

Easter main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today.  I have 2 card for you today - one is to wish you a Happy Easter and the 2nd card is a birthday card!

For my Easter Card, I used the new Woven Basket of Eggs 94732, and the Happy Easter Curled Script 94731. I cut them both from white card stock and colored the basket and eggs with alcohol markers. I added them to a piece of plaid purple paper from the Magnolia Plaid PP1021 paper pad that I cut with the Curved Cap Pinpoint Layers die set 94646.

Here's a closer look at my card:

Easter close

You can see that I added Glossy Accents to the eggs after decorating them with black and white pen marks. And here's one last look at my Easter card for today:

Easter 1

Now for my 2nd card which also uses goodies from the last release.

As you can see I kept the plaid theme going and used some paper from the Madras Plaid Blue and Violet paper pack (PP1014) for my background.  The floral image was heat embossed with white embossing powder onto vellum and then die cut.  I also cut a 2nd floral image from light gray cardsock and stamped the image with darker gray ink.  I then ran that one through my die cutting machine with the 3D matching embossing folder.  I rubbed a little violet ink on top of it, let it dry and then adhered the vellum flower image on top of the gray one.  To adhere it, I used a glue pen and only added ink in lines where the embossing was so I could hide the adhesive.  Here's a closer look:

I popped the image die cut up on foam tape and then added both the circle foiled sentiment tab and some clear gems to the floral centers.  Here's one last look:

I hope you like my cards for today!  Check out the new release and be sure to come back each day for more inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cheerful Floral Hugs
by Trina Pham

IMG_5443

Hello and happy Good Friday to those who celebrate!  I’m using the Cheerful Floral stamp set again, but this time, I also used it with the coordinating layering stencil set.

The floral image was stamped off-the-edge with Fade Out ink onto a Bristol panel for a no-line coloring look.   A light color dye ink would work as well.  Then following most of the steps from the stencil guide, ink blended gradient colors of dye inks in pink, purple, yellow, green and gray over the stencils.   I decided to keep the leaves simpler, skipped the layers for the leaves and ink blended in the center vein.

IMG_5444

Once the coloring/stencilling was completed, masked the image with the included mask and applied gray ink around the image to give it more dimension and help ground it a bit.  Stamped the sentiment with black pigment ink directly on the panel and heat embossed it with clear glitter embossing  powder.  Hugs was an unused piece from my stash that had been die cut out with the matching die.  Adhered the panel to a white card base to finish.

IMG_5445

The layering stencils makes coloring easy.   And that does it for my card.   Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful weekend, especially if you are celebrating Easter.

Flower center:

Stamp and Bold Cheerful Floral Clear flower and leaves using Distress Oxide inks.  For the flower I used Spun Sugar, Ketch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry and used 2nd generation and double stamping of the same ink to get the different layers of color.  For the leaves use Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss.  Fussy cut the leaves and die cut the flower using the matching die from the 3D embossing folder.

Background:

Use a A2 size white heavy card stock to 3D emboss using the Chearful floral 3D Embossing folder.  Trim down the panel to 4" x 5 1/4". Adhere the stamped images over the matching areas.  Splatter using a gold metallic paint.

Assembly:

Adhere the panel to a black A2 size panel and adhere to an A2 size white card.  Add a black Happy Birthday Greeting Tab to the bottom left side of the center flower.  Add some pink gems from the Pastel Fairy Jewels.

Happy Easter Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_8112

Hello everyone!  Today I have a cute Easter card for you using new products from the 2024 Spring Release.

I started by adhering colored cardstock strips of paper to white cardstock and die cutting an egg shape from the it.

IMG_8111

I die cut the Pinpoint Daisy Background on a white cardstock panel and glued it to a gold metallic mat.  Next, I adhered it to a white card base.

The die cut egg was glued to the center of the prepared background and the "Happy Easter" was die cut from white cardstock and glued to the egg shape.

The Cute Layered Bunny was die cut from white cardstock, I added brown ink for a little color to the bunny and glued the layers together.  The eyes, nose and whiskers were added with a black marker and a pink colored pencil was used to add color to the ears and cheeks. I used foam tape to add him to the card front and glued on a white pompom for the bunny tail.

That's it for today!  Have a Happy Easter!

Stenciled blossoms and a popular new bunny from Poppystamps are great for all-occasion cards.  The bold flowers and sweet poufy bunny are more than ready for spring...are you?

Hi, Jean here finally after many hours of home security, modem and electrical issues.  Imagine loud warning chirps at exactly 25 minutes past the hour, every hour, 24/7!

Stenciling is quick, precise and forgiving when necessary.  Stenciling on the reverse side of a stamped image is even better.  Here's another design featuring Spring 2024's Cheerful Floral Clear Stamps and Cheerful Floral 6x6 Art Stencils.

MemoryBoxCheerfulFloralStampSet, MemoryBoxCheerfulFloralStencilSet, MemoryBoxThankYouDailyScript, MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDiecuts, MemoryBoxOceanBlue6x6, MemoryBoxBrightJewels, MemoryBoxNestedGlobes, MemoryBoxOpenStudioWatercolorPaper, Poppystamps, PoppystampsDies, JeanOkimoto, DiecutCards, HandmadeCards, Cardmaking, CardmakingIdeas, SpringCards, BunnyDiecuts, BunnyCards, Stenciling, StenciledCards, Papercrafts, BrillianceInkpads, EmbossedCards, VerssMark,ImpressCardsAndCrafts, ThankYouCards, Vellum, VellumCards'

Prep white vellum with the embossing powder tool to eliminate stray flecks of powder.  Stamp the floral image with VersaMark.  Heat-emboss it with detail white powder.  Flip both the stencils and the stamped, cooled image over to the backside and stencil the reverse side with Brilliance Inks - Pearlescent Lime, Lavender, Purple and Sunflower Yellow.  The stencils are numbered for sequential coloring and can create the look of layered colors. Cut it with the die included in the stamp set.

Reverse-stenciling keeps the white embossing clean + white and eliminates scratched, scraped embossing.

Cut two pieces of white cardstock with the second-largest Nested Globes die.  Layer them for dimension, then attach the floral diecut with narrow strips of doublestick tape - it won't be visible under the opaque inks.

Sweet, poufy Poppystamps Cuddle Bunny will make you smile!   Cut him from the horizontal textured side of Open Studio Watercolor Paper.  The light horizontal lines add more character to this already-sweet bunny.  Color the ears and the nose area of the solid head piece with pink ink - Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid was used here. Color the eye areas with a black marker.  Attach it behind the other head diecut.  Assemble the bunny.

Attach a 1-½" x 4-½" piece of ScorTape to white cardstock. Cut it with the Thank You Daily Script background die.  Cut the detailed top layer of the greeting from a pale blue/lavender Ocean Blue Collection 6x6.  Before removing the diecut - carefully remove and save the  teardrop shapes for the "a" and "y" and the open oval for the "o."  Attach the top layer - and the tiny saved pieces.  Use the tape liner like a presscloth to press all of the pieces firmly onto the adhesive-covered background.  Cover the exposed adhesive with Imagine's Iridescent Embossing Powder, tap the excess off and heat-emboss.  Attach it inside the card.

Thanks for visiting our blog...Happy Easter to everyone celebrating on Sunday.  See you in April!

5 Minute Cardmaking Tutorial
by Theary Chea

Hello there! It's Theary back on the blog again today. I want to share an easy five-minute card technique for today's project. Let's get started!

IMG_9570 (1)

To start, I am using the SP1013 Color Wheel Paper Pad in Sunrise and selected a few of the sheets from the pad to use with EF1025 Cheerful Floral 3D Embossing Folder & Cutting Die. I ran each sheet using my manual die-cutting machine.

After all the sheets have been embossed, use the embossing folder. I lightly ran over the embossed areas with a white pigment ink. This will give the overall texture a little bit of interest.

IMG_9567

I then splattered the card panel using white paint.

Lastly, I added a sentiment tab from ST006 Happy Birthday Foil Greetings White Tabs and adhered it to a top folding card base.

IMG_9564 (1)

And that's it! It's super simple but so effective! I made fours in less than 20 minutes. I hope you give this technique a try!

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Easter Gift Bag with Layered Lamb and Clara Blooms
by Anne Thompson

It doesn't feel much like spring here today with over a foot of new snow on the ground!  I'm still thinking spring, however, and crafting the items I need for Easter a week from today.  Here's a Happy Easter gift bag that features the Layered Lamb and Clara Blooms.

IMG_3007 (1)

I began by die cutting the LAYERED LAMB 94730 from watercolor paper.  I then inked all of the pieces with VersaFine Clair Morning Mist ink, a gray ink, using a fingertip dauber.  I assembled the lamb using a glue pen.

IMG_3003 (1)

Next I cut out multiples of the CLARA BLOOMS 94730, one set from a green card stock in the GREENERY COLLECTION SP1011 and two sets from a light yellow card stock from the SUNRISE COLLECTION SP1013.  I used fingertip daubers to add VersaFine Clair Shady Lane ink to the green leaves and layered all three sets with the green ones on top of the two yellows.  I then added Hero Arts Butter Bar ink to the petal pieces and layered all of them together to make two large blooms.

IMG_3005 (1)

I die cut the HAPPY EASTER CURLED SCRIPT 94731 from black mirror card paper.

IMG_3006 (1)

For the gift bag I cut a piece of green card stock from the Greenery Collection 3X6 and added it to the front of the bag.  I used dimensional foam dots to add the flowers near the bottom of the panel and the sheep tucked in around them.  I used a glue pen to add the "happy Easter" greeting.

IMG_3007 (1)

And I have a gift bag ready for Easter treats!  Think about ways you can use Memory Box die cut images to decorate your gift bags and boxes.  Happy Crafting!
