Warm Wishes Card by Sara Cook

Hi everyone. I have a window card overlooking a cold winter scene with warm wishes. I am making any occasion cards with winter themes so I can just stamp the needed sentiment. Hopefully give you some ideas to create your own winter any occasion cards.

Background:

Ink blend a white A2 panel with Fresh Ink Silicone Blue unevenly. Use a natural sponge and randomly add Distress Oxide Stromy Sky. Lightly ink blend with Silicone Blue. I was going to splatter with white ink and forgot. This would add a snow to the sky.

Snowy Scene:

Die cut the Forest Path from white card stock. Ink blend the path/steam with Distress Oxide Broken Glass then Salty Ocean in the background section. Ink blend white pigment ink in the center of the stream. Cover with Distress Crackle Paste Icicle. Ink blend the trees with Distress Oxide Antique Linen and then lightly along sides with vVntage Photo. Cover trees with Distress Collage Mate Medium to make the surface nonporous. Add Distress Opaque Texture Paste to the tops of the trees and snow banks with your finger to dab it on. Let dry. Add thin foam tape to back side.

Fame:

Die curt a window from a blue and brown A2 size Poinsettia Plaid paper using the 3rd largest die from Nested Globes. Die cut cream Woodgrain card stock using the 2nd and 3rd larges dies from the Nested Globes to create a window frame. Ink blend with Elements Truffle ink. Ink blend all the edges with the same ink. Adhere the frame to the cut out. Add thick foam tape to the back of the frame panel.

Assembly:

Adhere the background to a A2 white card Then adhere the snowy scene to the back ground with the foam tape. Add glue to where the stream will be placed and add the stream die cut in place. I used a metal spatula to get it under the snowbanks and smooth it down. Adhere the frame panel of top. Stamp warm wishes from the Shining Sear stamp set with the Truffle ink. Die cut using the 2nd smallest Slim Basic Rectangle Layer die set. Adhere to under the window,
