Thanks Card by Donna Sledzik
Hello everyone! Today's card features a fun technique called "Joseph's Coat".
I began by ink blending the background on white cardstock.
I dried the inked background completely, then inked the Aurora Snowflake background stamp with embossing ink, and stamped over the ink blended background. Next, I sprinkled clear embossing powder over the stamped image and heat embossed it.
The next step really makes the embossed images pop! I used a blending tool and applied black dye ink over the entire background. The embossed images resist the black ink to reveal the colorful snowflakes. If any ink is left on the embossed image, use a dry paper towel to remove the excess ink. Next, I spattered the background with white ink.
I die cut the background panel with one of the Wrapped Stitched Rectangle dies, and adhered it to a green glitter cardstock mat. This was glued to a white cardstock mat and then adhered to a black card base.
I die cut the word "thanks" once from green glitter paper and 3 times from white cardstock. These were stacked and glued together ending with the green glitter word on top. Next, I glued the completed word to the middle of the card.
I typed the words "sweet friend" on the computer and created the sentiment strip to place underneath the word thanks. I inked the strip with one of the inks from the background.
To finish the card I added some Fairy Crystals to give it a little bling.
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by!

Really beautiful. Love the unusual/non-traditional color combo
