Floral Greeting Card
by Laura Fulcher

IMG_4329
Greetings friends! The new Anemone collection has some really lovely blossoms that can make beautiful cards year-round. I left a message off of the front of my card because I didn't know what occasion I was going to send the card. I like having a stash of generic cards on hand. Unfortunately, I need to send a sympathy card, and I thought this design was quite fitting.

To make the card, I cut out the pieces of my flower using white cardstock and then colored the petals with various Copic markers (BV0000, BV31, and BV02). I then colored my stems and leaves with an assortment of green Copic markers (YG03, YG25, YG63 and BG49). I chose the Copic markers because they matched the colors of the background patterned paper I had chosen.

I wanted a bit of extra dimension and texture for the card so I ran some white cardstock through the die cut machine with the Anemone Drift embossing folder. I then cut out a strip of the textured paper to add to the card.

Here is  a close up of the card and all of the layers:

Elegant Anemone Hello
by Anne Thompson

For today's card I wanted to highlight the Elegant Anemone die and papers from both Anemone Grove and Anemone Plaid.

0-1 (1)

materials used

  • ELEGANT ANEMONE 94769
  • HELLO DEBUT SCRIPT 94772
  • ANEMONE GROVE PP1026
  • ANEMONE PLAID PP1025
  • circle dies
  • Hero Arts inks:  Forever Green, Green Hills, Bubble Gum

to make this card

  • select four coordinating papers from the two paper pads--I used a whole sheet and a scrap of one of the florals and plaid scraps for the other pieces I needed
  • cut the largest floral piece 4 X 5 1/4; for the plaids cut one strip 1 X 5 1/4, cut one strip 1 1/2 X 5 1/4, cut one strip 2 X 3

0-8 (1)

  • begin assembling the front of the card by adding the large floral piece first, then the 1 X 5 1/4 piece, and then the 2 X 3 piece

0-6 (1)

  • add the 1 1/2 X 5 1/4 piece snugged up next to the first strip and covering part of the smaller piece

0-4 (1)

  • next cut some circles using your circle dies--one large circle from white card stock, one slightly smaller from another piece of the floral paper, and one even smaller from white card stock

0-5 (1)

  • die cut the Elegant Anemone from white card stock; use green inks to color the stem and leaf parts and pink to add shading to the flower petals
  • assemble the flower using glue dots and a glue pen

0-3 (1)

  • take the circles you cut out earlier and ink the edges of the two white ones
  • layer up the three circles and add them to the card front
  • attach the Elegant Anemone using dimensional foam dots and a glue pen

0

  • die cut the Hello Debut Script using white card stock for the background and a scrap of the floral for the detailed letters
  • add some pink ink to the white background and then glue on the letters
  • add this to the front of the card over the stem using dimensional foam dots

Here's another look at the finished card.

Sending Blooming Anemone Hugs
by Trina Pham

IMG_4635

Hello everyone.  I have a QACAS (quick and clean and simple) card to share today featuring the Blooming Anemone and Hugs Debut Script dies from the current Anemone release.

The anemone was die cut from white cardstock and its pieces were ink blended with Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves, Shabby Shutters and Black Soot distress inks (DI).

IMG_4636

The Poppy Stamps stitched envelope was then die cut from white cardstock, followed by the “hugs” sentiment, which was die cut three times also from white, to stack for dimension.  Ink blended the top layer with Seedless Preserves DI, then adhered the stacked sentiment onto a pale plum cardstock piece that was trimmed down to fit the envelope.  Assembled the card onto a black A2 size panel, then added clear shimmer to the flower for some sparkle to finish.

Not gonna lie, this ended being more dramatic than intended. 🤷🏻‍♀️   And that does it  for my card.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Anemone Cutout Friendship Card by Jean Okimoto

Reach out to someone you miss with a floral window card from our January Anemone Collection.  Hi, Jean here with a fresh pink friendship card from our latest release. The "missing" blossom is attached inside, visible thru the window - and there's space for a short note below it.

MemoryBoxAnemoneBunches3DEmbossingFolderAndDies, MemoryBoxMissYouDebutScript, MemoryBoxBrightJewels, JeanOkimoto, FloralCards, DiecutCards, FlowerDiecuts, 3DEmbossing, EmbossingFolder, EmbossedCards, Diecuts, HandmadeCards, Cardmaking, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Cut a 5" x 6" piece of white cardstock. It's easier to trim the extra cardstock later than it is to align everything perfectly.   Spritz both sides with a light mist of water. Leave at least ¾" of space on the left edge and emboss the cardstock with the new Anemone Bunches 3D Embossing Folder.  Cut the anemone with the larger die from the set.  Use an ink applicator or blending brush to color it with kitsch flamingo and bundled sage Distress Oxides.  Use a cotton swab to daub the center with Pearlescent Yellow Brilliance.

Score the left edge ½" from the embossed design to create a tab.  Trim the cardstock to 5-½" x 4-¼" plus the ½" tab.  Attach the tab behind a 5-½" x 4-¼" piece of white cardstock for an A-2 card.

Close the card and attach the anenome diecut (excluding the delicate stem) through the opening.  Open the card and attach the stem.

Cut 2 of the Miss You Debut Script backgrounds from white cardstock.  Color 1 background with kitsch flamingo.  Cut the detailed top layer from white cardstock and color it with kitsch flamingo too.  Assemble the greeting - place the inked background slightly offset to the left for dimension and contrast against the white background.

Add pale green Bright Jewels.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

It sounds very complicated, but it's not!  Hope you'll try this design in your favorite colors.  Thanks for visiting our blog...have a great weekend!

Hugs with Anemone Duo
by Angie Cimbalo

Main

Hello and welcome, Angie here today with a "Hugs" card featuring products from the new Anemone Collection.  Here's a close up of the flowers and new "Happy Spring Debut Script" (94779) word die.

Close

I die cut and colored the Anemone Duo die with Distress Inks and colored pencils and then put them together.  I ink blended Distress Saltwater Taffy lightly on a white card stock and put it behind the card front that I had cut with the "Double Stitch Happy Heart Cut-Out" craft die (94361).  Once that was glued behind the heart, I added the two flower buds to the heart but didn't use any of the leaves from the die.  I will save those for a later project.

2

I cut 3 inches off the bottom of the front panel on the bottom and added a strip of striped washi tape and then a panel that was inked with Distress Saltwater Taffy, ink directly to paper.

I cut the shadow Hugs from more inked card stock and the thin letters of the die from white card stock.  Once I glued those together, I added them to the bottom of the heart.  Lastly I added five Pastel Jewels (JWL002) to the card front.  Here's one last look:

I hope you have had a chance to look at all the beautiful products in this latest release!  Be sure to come back each day for more inspiration from the design team.  Thanks and happy crafting!

Hello Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_7816

Hello everyone!  I have another card for you featuring new products from the 2024 January release.

To make this card, I die cut all the images from white cardstock and used Distress Oxide Inks to add color to them.

Flowers: Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Inks

Flower centers: Black Soot Distress Ink

Leaves: Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Oxide Inks

I followed the image on the packing for the die cuts and glued the flowers together.

IMG_7818

The word "hello" was die cut from black cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock.  I glued the word "hello" on top of the white shadow die cut.

Next, I dry embossed a strip of gray cardstock using the Ringadings 3D embossing folder.  I randomly swiped a white pigment ink pad across the embossed paper, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.

I used a blending brush and applied the same Distress Oxide inks used for the flowers to a white cardstock panel.  I spattered the background with plain water and dried it.

I glued the gray embossed strip of paper to the inked panel and spattered it with black ink.

Next, I glued the flowers and leaves to the card front and used foam tape to adhere the hello die cut to the card.

IMG_7817

To finish the card, I glued the card front to a pink card base.

That's my card for today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

A bit of plaid balances the bold new Graceful Anemone on a simple foldout card for any occasion.  There's just enough space for a short note - and it all fits into a standard A2 envelope.  Hi, Jean here with beautiful, versatile new die set from our January Anemone Collection.

MemoryBoxGracefulAnemone, MemoryBoxAnemonePlaid, MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDies, MemoryBoxJustANoteDebutScript, MemoryBoxStormyBlue6x6, MemoryBoxAnemoneCollection, JeanOkimoto, FloralCards, HandmadeCards, Cardcrafting, CardmakingIdeas, FlowerDiecuts, GreetingDiecuts, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Cut Graceful Anemone from a pale blue 6x6 in the Stormy Blue Collection.  Sponge Morning Mist VersaFine Clair onto the three stamen diecuts.  Add a bit of Pearlescent Yellow Brilliance ink to the petals.

Cut the leaves from green cardstock.  Assemble the anemone.

Cut two of the Just a Note Debut Script background from the same pale blue 6x6.  Layer them for dimension.  Cut the detailed greeting from a medium blue Stormy Blue sheet.

PP1025

Cut a ¾" x 3-¾" strip of a diagonal plaid from the Anemone Plaid 6x6 pack.  A little plaid goes a long way when it's paired with a bold blossom.  Anemone Plaid's colorful mix of blues, greens, teals and purples matches perfectly with several Memory Box 6x6 cardstock collections - Ocean Blue, Stormy Blue and Twilight Purple.  It's also coordinates with the popular (and sold-out) Lush Green and Fresh Aqua Collections that - hopefully - are in your stash.

Cut white cardstock to 4-¼" x 11"  Score it at 4" and 6-¾".  Attach the diecuts and plaid strip - use foam dots for the petals.  Add the purple-blue Treasure Chest Fairy Gemstones.  Cut and A-2 sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
