There's so much to love about the 2024 JANUARY ANEMONE Collection! You can find it here. For today's card I chose the Graceful Anemone and the Hugs Debut Script dies and a paper from each of the new paper pads--Anemone Plaid and Anemone Grove.
materials used
- ANEMONE PLAID PP1025
- ANEMONE GROVE PP1026
- GRACEFUL ANEMONE 94764
- HUGS DEBUT SCRIPT 94776
- Hero Arts Shadow Ink Tide Pool mid-tone, fingertip dauber
to make this card
- trim a piece of Anemone Plaid paper 4 X 5 1/4 and add it to the front of an A2 note card--I chose a top-fold card and a pale blue/lavender plaid paper
- die cut the Graceful Anemone from white card stock and from one of the Anemone Grove prints that coordinates with the plaid chosen--I chose a blue/white leaf print paper
- I added Tide Pool ink shading on some of the white card stock blossom pieces (save the Anemone Grove print blossom for another project) and then assembled the flower using Glue Dots and a glue pen
- layer the print stem and leaves on top of the white card stock ones
- audition the placement of the anemone blossom and the stem and the leaves so you'll know where you want to attach them (I just realized that the orientation of my flower and stem is opposite that on the die envelope--I tilted my blossom to the right edge of the note card and turned the stem upside down to have it curve to the left bottom corner)
- I glued down the flower first, tucked the stem underneath, lifted up the stem and glued down the leaves, and then glued down the stem over the leaves
- die cut the Hugs Debut Script background from white card stock and the detail letters from a scrap of the print used for the stem and leaves
- assemble "Hugs" using a glue pen and then glue it to the front of the note card
And that's it! A lovely card to use as a valentine or for any occasion.
Happy Crafting!
