Cheerful blossoms from the new Cottage Meadow Rub Ons instantly brighten a card for any occasion.  Here's a simple garden greeting with a mix of round-ish flowers and crisp squares.  Add a golden Silver Moon Butterfly and Thank You Foil Greetings Black Tab for instant bling.  Hi, Jean here with another idea from our new 2024 Fuchsia Collection.

The square "wreath" is actually a pair of corner designs.  Cut the pale green Greenery 6x6 with the 3-¼" Square Basics die.  Cut two 1-¼" squares from the same shade of green.  Cut the rub ons,  remove the paper liners and gently tap the designs onto the green squares.  Lay a sheet of printer paper over the top liner to protect the designs and run the squares and rub ons through a diecut machine using the plates you'd use for basic diecutting.  Remove the clear top liners.

A wood craft stick for burnishing is also included in the set if you don't have a diecut machine nearby.

Cut the green and off-white floral print  from the Brilliant Fuchsia 6x6 set with the 3-½" Square Basics die.  Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foam tape for the 2 small squares.

Cut the small Silver Moon Buttrerfly from the gold Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Cut the center portion from the gold Glitzy Glitter Pad 6x6 sheet. Attach a greeting from the Thank You Foil Greetings set.  Add green Christmas Fairy Dewdrops.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting...see you on Friday!

Happy Birthday To You
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_8516

Hello everyone!  Today I have a quick and easy birthday card for you.

I began by die cutting several circles of different sizes from colored cardstock and adhering them to a white cardstock panel.  Once I was done with the circle arrangement, I trimmed off all the excess over hanging pieces of colored cardstock.

I glued the card panel to a black cardstock mat and adhered it to a white card base.

IMG_8517

Next, I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and glued it in place on the card.

I die cut the word "happy" from black cardstock and glued it to the white cardstock shadow die cut.  I used foam tape to adhere it to the card.

IMG_8519

To finish the card, I added some white epoxy embellishments.

That's it for today!  Have a great day!

Cuppa Blooms and Bird Birthday
by Trina Pham

IMG_6171

Hello everyone.  I have another simple birthday card to share today using previously released products.

The bird, stretched from a hummingbird by cutting down its beak with scissors, was in my stash.  It had been die cut from white cardstock and ink blended with two blue and a dark grey dye inks.  The cup, flowers and foliage were also die cut from white cardstock and ink blended with pink, yellow, green or dark grey dye inks.

IMG_6172

Arranged and adhered the inked die cut pieces onto a white woodgrain panel then mount it onto the plaid pattern paper.  Picked this bright yellow design with gold foil lines to tie it in with the gold foil greetings tab.  Added clear shimmer to the flowers for some sparkle to finish

That does it for my card.  Thank you for joining me today   Have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_8506

Hi everyone!  For today's card I did a spotlight technique using embossing folders.

I began by dry embossing a white cardstock panel using the Cheerful Floral 3D embossing folder.  Next, I used a blending brush and turquoise dye ink to lightly go across the raised embossed image.  I didn't mind that some of the ink went into the background.  I wanted a soft look to the background. I mounted the background to a black cardstock mat and used foam tape to adhere it to a white card base.

For the center spotlight image, I die cut a circle from Teal cardstock and placed it in the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I ran a white pigment ink pad over the embossed circle to highlight the embossing.  I used foam tape and glued it to the card matching the embossed flowers on the background.

IMG_8507

I spattered the background with teal ink to add a little interest to it.

I stamped the word "hugs" in black ink, die cut it with the coordinating die and used foam tape to adhere it to the card.

The butterfly was die cut from white cardstock and inked with green and teal dye inks.  I glued this to the card just above the word "hugs".

IMG_8510

To finish the card, I added some clear Fairy Drops to give it a little sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

Budding Gladiola Stem Happy Birthday
by Anne Thompson

I needed a quick birthday card today and I hadn't yet used the BUDDING GLADIOLA STEM 94792, so...

IMG_3179 (1)

I started with a white A2 side-fold note card.  I trimmed a piece of card stock from the BLUSH COLLECTION SP1012 to 4 X 5 1/4 and added that to the front of the card.

I had this piece of plaid from the GLADIOLA PLAID PP1027 pad left over from last week's card and it fit perfectly to use as an accent panel.

I die cut the BUDDING GLADIOLA STEM 94792 with a scrap of yellow card stock from the SUNRISE COLLECTION SP1013.  I also cut it from one of the greens in the GREENERY COLLECTION SP1011.

I added some Hero Arts Fresh Peach ink to the blossom areas and then assembled the flower.  For some extra dimension I glued the yellow stem on top of the green one and then added the small green pieces at the base of each blossom.

I glued the stem to the plaid paper on the card front and then glued on the tall leaves.

I added one of the ST010 HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOIL GREETINGS WHITE CIRCLE TABS at the base of the flower stem using a dimensional foam dot.  For a little extra glitz I placed three of the TREASURE CHEST FAIRY GEMSTONES GEM101 in the upper right.

IMG_3176 (1)

If I were to make this card again I'd probably color the yellow stem green.  Or I could use the green stem I cut out and snip the yellow blossoms from the yellow stem to glue in place on the green one.  And I think I'd use two shades of green for the tall leaves.  Things to think about--I don't always have a definite plan in mind when I start to make a card.  Think this might be the last birthday card I need for the month of May.  Thank you cards next???

Happy Crafting!

Fanciful Gladiola Stem Card
by Angie Cimbalo

Main 1080

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a card featuring the new Fanciful Gladiola Stem (94791).  This is a great die for layering and it cuts all in one pass.  There are 3 larger stems, one can be cut or colored from greens for the stems, etc. and the others can be cut from flower colors or colored in the way you like it.  Here's a close up of my card:

Close 1 1080

The lighter purple pieces are small and glued together.  To figure out where they all go, I suggest you use the front of the packaging photo as it is "to size" meaning the pieces will match like a puzzle if you lay them down on the photo.  Here's an even closer look:

Super close 1080

I colored the background larger stem with the darkest purple, the large stem with green and then medium piece with mid purple color, then the smallest pieces with my lightest purple marker.  After I glued them together, I added some color pencil in the line and toward the bottom of the stems and blooms.  I cut the paper from "Glimmering Gladiola" paper pack PP1028 on a diagonal so the gladiolas were straight up and down.  (The paper has them at a diagonal which is also gorgeous to use that way for a background!)  The sentiment was stamped in purple and black inks and it's from the "Cheerful Floral" clear stamp and die set CL5278.

Here's one last look at my card:

I hope you like my card for today!  I had a lot of fun putting it together and hope it inspires you to create some floral cards!  Chack out the whole recent releases from Memory Box - such gorgeous products.  If you'd like links and more information, check out my blog post HERE.

Kindness Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_8430

Hello everyone!  Today's card features stamps and stencils from the Spring Cheer release.

I started by die cutting the Vintage Tray Die from Gina K Designs masking magic paper.  I placed the mask on a white cardstock panel, and used a blending brush to apply light blue ink around the edges of the blocks.  This creates a nice shadow around the blocks.

IMG_8428

I left the mask in place and stamped the Cheerful Flower with black ink.  I used a heat tool to dry the image before using the coordinating layering stencils to add color to the stamped image. I used dye inks and blending brushes for the coloring.  I followed the steps on the stencil guide to add color to the stamped image.

To add some texture to the panel, I inked the back side of the Altenew Grip Mat with white ink and stamped it across my panel.

Next, I spattered the background with white and gold inks.  Once the inks were dry, I removed the mask from the paper. I trimmed it and glued it to a thin black cardstock mat.  This was glued to a pink cardstock mat and then adhered to a white card base.

I stamped and die cut the word kindness from white cardstock and glued it to the card.  Underneath the word I stamped the words "changes everything".

IMG_8429

To finish the card I added some Fairy Drops for more texture, and that's it!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Need a celebration card for spring and summer birthdays?  Hi, Jean here with a basic design that would work in many color combinations with prints from our Glimmering Gladiola 6x6 pack.  Here's a purple version of my hybrid card combining dies from our floral collection - Clara Blooms on the Curved Magnolia Branch.

MemoryBoxGlimmeringGladiola6x6, MemoryBoxClaraBlooms, MemoryBoxCurvedMagnoliaBranch, MemoryBoxSlimBasicRectangleLayers, MemoryBoxTwilightPurple6x6, MemoryBoxGreenery6x6, MemoryBoxRainbowReflections6x6, MemoryBoxHappyBirthdayFoilGreetingCircleTabs, JeanOkimoto, MemoryBoxCo, DiecutCards, Cardmaking, FloralDiecuts, SlimlineCards, CardmakingIdeas, DiecutCrafts, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Cut Curved Magnolia Branch from a bright green 6x6 in the Greenery Collection.  Color the stem with a brown marker.

Cut Clara Blooms from a medium-purple 6x6 in the Twilight Purple Collection.  Cut an extra set of the small petals and trim 2 of them to create a bud.  Cut the group of 4 smaller centers from the chartreuse Rainbow Reflections 6x6.  Assemble the 2 larger flowers.

Cut the purple and gold petal print from the Shimmering Gladiola 6x6 with a portion of the 2" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  It'll be shorter than the die - but it's easier than measuring.  Cut lavender cardstock with the 1-½" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Trim the rectangles with a corner rounding punch.

Cut, score and fold a lavender slimline card (3-⅝" x 8-½") and round the corners.

Attach the diecuts - use foam tape for the blossoms.  Add a Happy Birthday Foil Greetings White Circle Tab for an instant greeting.

Fanciful, Whimsical Gladiola Wishes by Jean Okimoto

Fanciful Gladiola Stem's blossoms and Whimsical Gladiola's leaves create a floral birthday greeting for spring or summer celebrations.  Hi, Jean here with quick coloring technique for detailed designs.

P1033381

Save time by stenciling the pieces before diecutting them.  Spritz the smoother side of watercolor paper with a light mist of water. Pressure-emboss it using the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine.  Diecut a stencil from cardstock.

Tape the stencil over the embossed designs and sponge or brush the petals and stems.  VersaFine Clair Verdant and Cheerful and Brilliance Sunflower Yellow inks were used here.  Mask the adjacent areas with a Post-It note to separate the colors.  Heat-set the inks, then diecut all of the pieces.  Pre-embossing makes it easier to color the raised areas - and to align the die over the pieces for diecutting later.  Trust me!

Sponge or brush Verdant ink onto smooth white cardstock and cut two small and one large leaf set from the Whinsical Gladiola.

Assemble the Fanciful Gladiola Stem.  The green stem partially covers the yellow stem for instant buds and dimension.  I followed some portions of the diagram - and rearranged some pieces for more color variation.

MemoryBoxFancifulGladiolaStem, MemopryBoxWhimsicalGladiola, MemoryBoxCircleBasics, MemoryBoxTreasureChestGemstones, MemoryBoxHappyBirthdayFoilGreetingsCircleTabs, JeanOkimoto, MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDies, Diecutting, FloralDiecuts, HandmadeFloralCards, Cardmaking, HandmadeBirthdayCards, Papercrafts, FloralDiecuts, Stenciling

Glue two pieces of smooth white cardstock together and diecut it with the 3-¼" Circle Basics die.  Cut it again - slightly offset - with the 3" Circle Basics die.  Attach both pieces - offset again - to a top-folded white A2 card.

Attach the Fanciful Gladiola Stem and Whimsical Gladiola leaves.  Add a Happy Birthday White Circle Greeting Tab and gold Treasure Chest Gemstones.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
