Butterfly Hugs Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_8669

Hello everyone!  Today's card features new products from the 2024 Fuchsia release.

IMG_8671

I started by cutting a piece of plaid cardstock which is smaller than the size of an A2 card base and glued it to my white card base.  I cut a thin strip of gold foil paper and glued that to the top of the plaid paper and spattered the top of the card with gold ink.

The butterfly and leaves were die cut from white cardstock and colored with Distress Inks.

Butterfly: Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed

Leaves: Peeled Paint

Butterfly Body: Black Soot

The leaves were glued in place on the card front and the butterfly was adhered using foam tape.

IMG_8670

To finish the card, I stamped the word "hugs" with Versa Mark Ink, gold heat embossed it, and die cut it with the coordinating die.  I used foam tape to adhere it to the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Dragonfly Hello
by Angie Cimbalo

2

Hello and welcome!  I have a mini slimline card for you today featuring goodies from the 2024 Fuchsia Release.  I've used the "Azure Dragonflies" die set along with the "Hello Breezy Script" die set.

I cut the dies from some watercolored panels that I received from my art teacher, they were test ones for her and she was just going to throw them away.  I happily took them, you know the saying, "Someone's trash is someone else's treasure!"

Here's a close look at the papers I used:

2

I used paper from the new "Brilliant Fuchsia" paper pac along with a plaid from a previously released plaid pad called "Woodsy Plaid,"  and the white background is "Woodgrain White" paper.

2

I cut two sets of the dragonflies and put them together, then stacked them on top of each other.

2

I put the word die together, then added some gold paint pen dots to both of the dragonflies.  All the die cuts were popped up on foam dots for dimension.

I took pictures from different angles because the patterned paper is gold foil and reflects the light in different ways.  Here's one last close up:

2

I hope you are staying cool in this heat wave and I hope you enjoyed my card for today.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A trio of the new Brilliant Beetles adds an unexpected look to a summer thank you design from our 2024 Fuchsia Collection.  Hi, Jean here with some glitzy beetles - and some inspiration for July's "Anything Bugging You?" Challenge.  Challenge entries must be submitted by the end of the day (EST) on July 30th.

Cut Brilliant Beetles from Black Glossy Paper (cardstock) and assemble them.  Cut the decorative detailed pieces from the copper Rainbow Reflections 6x6 and Glitzy Glitter Pad 6x6.   Attach them to the glossy black beetles.

Three Circle Basics dies are used here - 3-½", 3" and 2-½".  Cut the 3-½" floral circle from the Brilliant Fuchsia 6x6.  Cut violet cardstock with the 3" die.  Cut the light green 6x6 from the Greenery Solid Core Collection with the 2-½" die.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foam tape for the glittered beetles.

Add a Thank You Foil Greetings Black Tab to match the beetles.

The overlapping circles create a basic template that can be rotated for 4 different looks - both vertical and horizontal.  Smaller circles can be layered onto an A2 card.

Thanks for visiting!

Say thanks with the new Blue River Butterfly floating over a Butterfly Coterie Collage background.  Blue River's detailed design stands out against the background's simple outlines. Hi, Jean here with a mix of classic favorites and a beautiful new butterfly from our 2024 Fuchsia Collection for your summer projects.

Cut Blue River Butterfly from the lavender 6x6 in the Lagoon Solid Core Collection.  Cut the wing accents from the violet Glitzy Glitter Pad 6x6.  Cut the antennae/body from the gold Rainbow Reflections 6x6.

Spray a blue/purple ink-blended piece of cardstock with a light layer of Imagine's Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz and set it aside to dry.  Cut white cardstock with Butterfly Coterie Collage - leave a generous border to diecut the globe.  Position the collage over the inked/spritzed background to find the right colors for the butterflies.  Cut the white cardstock and the inky background together using the 3-½" wide Nested Globes die.  Trim a bit from the edges of the inked background and attach it behind the collage.  Trim the bottom with a corner rounding punch.

Round the corners of a white top-folded A2 card.  Attach the diecuts - use foam tape for the edge of the Blue River Butterfly's wings.  Add a Thank You Foil Greeting White Tab (trim the ends a bit) and blue Christmas Fairy Dewdrops.  I like contrasting bold design elements like the butterfly with a small greeting.  Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting - have a relaxing weekend, or a great trip if you're traveling!

Hello Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_8666

Hello everyone!  I thought I would do a patriotic card today since July 4th is tomorrow.

I started by die cutting the Vertical Line Collage twice on a white cardstock panel.  Next, I glued it to a red cardstock mat and adhered it to a white card base.

The butterflies were die cut from white cardstock and colored with blue dye ink.  The butterfly bodies were die cut from black cardstock.  I glued the butterflies together and used foam tape to adhere them to the card.

IMG_8668

The word Hello was die cut from black cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock.  I used foam tape to adhere it to the card.

IMG_8667

To finish the card, I glued some clear fairy drops to add a little shine.

Have a great July 4th!

Flip a Fuchsia Upside-down by Jean Okimoto

P1034263

When is a fuchsia not a fuchsia?  When it's yellow, orange and flipped upside-down!  Hi, Jean here with an easy way to create a new flower from our 2024 Fuchsia Collection.

P1034290

Cut Lavish Fuchsia Stem from the yellow/orange 6x6 in the Sunrise Collection of solid-core cardstock.  Set the petals aside while you add color to the other diecuts.  Daub or sponge the stamens with Summertime VersaFine Clair and the remaining pieces with Electric Green Radiant Neon.

Cut the dark green 6x6 from the Greenery Collection twice with the 2-½" Square Basics Die.  Cut the beautiful gold and green Brilliant Fuchsia starburst 6x6 with the 3" Square Basics Die.

P1034285

Assemble the flowers.  Attach everything to a cream A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼").  Add orange Bright Jewels.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

I enjoy thinking of different ways to use Memory Box dies - and sharing my ideas with you.  Thanks for visiting our blog...Happy 4th of July to everyone celebrating on Thursday!

Thank You Butterflies
by Angie Cimbalo

Main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here with another butterfly card featuring some of the lovely new dies and papers in the newest 2024 Fuchsia Release.

For this card I used the "Canyon Butterflies" and "Thank You Breezey Script" dies along with one plaid paper from the new "Fuchsia Plaid" pack and one from the "Brilliant Fuchsia" pack.  Here's another look:

Main

I also used the "Vintage Pastel Mirror" pack to cut one set of the butterflies and the thin part of the "Thank You" sentiment.  I cut another set of the butterflies from the "Brilliant Fuchsia" paper pad and also the tips of the wings of the larger butterfly.  There are so many possibilites to make beautiful butterflies because the die has the butterfly and the separate tip die.

I glued the plaid patterened paper down first on the card front.  Then I glued the patterned paper main butterfly bodies down on the plaid.  Next I added the patterned paper tips to the larger butterfly with glue and then took both the gold butterflies and glued only the very center of them to the flat patterned paper butterflies on the card.  I had cut antenna, etc from the same paper so I added those to each butterfly and then I added clear jewels to the butterfly centers.

The thank you background was cut from white card stock and after putting both layers together I added the sentiment to the bottom of the card front.

Here's one last look:

I hope you like my card for today!  Be sure to come back each day to see more inspiration from the design team.  Thanks for stopping by!

Canyon Butterfly Hello
by Trina Pham

IMG_6605

Hello everyone.  After many trials and errors, this simple card turned out to be my favourite.  My card today features the Canyon Butterfly and Hello Breezy Script dies from the current 2024 Fuchsia release.

The butterfly wings were die cut from white while its body/antennae/edge layers were die cut from black.  Ink blended the wings with Salvaged Patina distress ink using a finger blending brush.

IMG_6606

The background panel was embossed with the Blooming 3D embossing folder.  Die cut the sentiment from white and its shadow from black.  Adhered the butterfly body directly to the embossed panel and popped up the wings with foam tape for more dimension and give it a floating effect. Mounted the panel onto a white card base to finish.

IMG_6607

Super easy and my card was done!  in.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day
