Greet the season with pink, lime, a new plaid and the beautiful new layered Glorious Poinsettia. Hi, Jean here with a simple slimline design ready for your favorite mix of prints, colors, greetings and jeweled accents.  We're using the new Poinsettia Plaid 6x6 and Shining Star Clear Stamps too.

Cut Glorious Poinsettia from pink and green cardstock.  Cut the tiny centers from the bright yellow Graceful Gardens Glitter Pad sheet - we're using two of the three pieces.  Assemble the poinsettia.

Cut a plaid 6x6 with the 1-⅜" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die - cut the 6x6 vertically, including the top portion where the sheets are attached.  Cut bright, dark pink cardstock with the ⅞" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.

Stamp the greeting - from the new Shining Star Clear Stamp Set - on pink cardstock with Oasis Green VersaFine Clair.  Dry the ink, then trim the the greeting with the ⅝" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.

Eliminate measuring, guessing (and thinking!) with the Slim Basic Rectangle Layers dies.  They're perfectly proportioned for slimline layers and backgrounds.

Attach the diecuts and greeting to a white slimline card (3-½" x 8-½") - use foam dots for the tips of the larger petals.  Add pink/taupe Autumn Fairy Crystals.  Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Balance a bold layered poinsettia with a matching plaid and let the detailed petals be the focal point.  This design works in traditional reds and greens with our other plaids - and try it creamy whites with gold details too.

Thanks for visiting...see you on Friday!
