Send a note of thanks with designs from our Magnolia and Gracious Floral Collections.  Add glittery, sparkly accents too!  Hi, Jean here with a layered mix of classic favorites and our latest designs.

Cut the Stylish Frame Trio circle and Curved Magnolia Branch from green cardstock.  We'll use some of the extra leaves from the branch set too.  Trim the large leaf that would be hidden behind the blossom - it'll be repositioned at the bottom of the branch.

Cut Tilted Thanks from a purple Glitzy Glitter Pad 6x6.

Cut the blossom - from the Gracious Floral 3D Embossing Folder and Die Set - from a Twilight Purple 6x6.  Spritz both sides with a light mist of water to make the cardstock pliable for embossing.  Press Electric Purple Radiant Neon ink onto the upper blossom section of the embossing folder - tap the inkpad repeatedly, don't squish or rub the ink into the design.  Place the diecut in the folder and pressure emboss it using the plate(s) required for your machine.

Sprinkle the embossed, inked diecut with detail clear powder, firmly tap off the excess powder.  Heat-emboss it.  Lightly ink the center using a cotton swab and Brilliance Graphite Black.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foam tape for petals. Attach purple Autumn Fairy Crystals.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

That's it!  3D embossing adds dimension to the blossom - inking and heat-embossing it accents the details.

Thanks for visiting the blog...have a great weekend!

Gold & Plaid Gracious Floral Collection
by Angie Cimbalo

So kind main

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today!   I have this fun plaid "Thank You" card I made for a friend using the newly released "Gracious Floral" products.

To make my card I took the center floral die and cut it from a piece of polished gold paper that was attached to a piece of card stock.  That paper is quite thin so to get a deeper impression later when I emboss it, I want it to be thicker.  After the shape was cut out, I opened the 3D embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine.  It gave the flower lovely dimension as you can see in the picture below.

I cut a piece of plaid paper to add the the bottom of the card base and then topped it with a thin strip of gold and another thin strip of black card stock.  The sentiment from the Gracious Floral stamp set, was heat embossed in white on black card stock.  I added the gold flower and sentiment to the card with foam tape and glue.  Here's another look:

So kind close

I made one more card using the Memory Box papers and the gold polished foil and here it is:

Gold hugs

The paper is from the Magnolia Grove and I used the large floral die from the stamp set to cut the image out and then ran it through my die cutting machine with the 3D embossing folder.  The sentiment is a 2 piece die called Hugs Tender Script.  It's so shiny in real life!

I hope you like my cards for today.  I really like how it turned out.  Be sure to come back tomorrow for some more inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_5337

Good morning everyone!  Today I have a monochromatic card for you using the new Gracious Floral Stamp set.

I began by stamping the Gracious Floral several times on white cardstock to create a background and then used colored pencils to fill in the stamped images.  I added some shading around the images with a gray marker.

IMG_5338

I spattered the background with black ink and mounted the background to a black cardstock mat.   Using foam tape, I adhered it to a white card base.

Next, I die cut the words Happy Birthday from silver foil cardstock and glued it to a black shadow die cut.  I glued this to the center of the card.

IMG_5340

To finish the card I added Black Nuvo Drops to the flower centers and the card background.

That's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by.

Take advantage of the The Gracious Floral Collection's coordinating design elements and create a summer thank you card.  Let textures, layers and stenciling build dimension in a cooling mix of fresh greens, pale yellows and crisp white.  Hi, Jean here with a versatile design from our summer release.

MemoryBoxGraciousFloralClearStampAndDieSet, MemoryBoxGraciousFloral3DEmbossingFolderAndDieSet, MemoryBoxGraciousFloralStencilSet, MemoryBoxTreasureChestFairyGemstones, MemoryBoxCurvedCapPinpointLayers, MemoryBoxSlimBasicRectangleLayers, JeanOkimoto, 3DEmbossingFolder, LayeredStencils, DiecutCards, ClearStamps, ImpressCardsAndCrafts, HandmadeCards, DiecutFlowers

Stamp the floral image from the Gracious Floral Clear Stamp and Die Set on heavy white cardstock with Smoky Gray VersaFine.  Heat-set the ink - because we're stenciling  and 3D-embossing over it.  Diecut it with the die that's included in the stamp and die set.  Spritz the un-stamped backside of the diecut with a light mist of water.  Place the diecut in the Gracious Floral 3D Embossing Folder and pressure emboss it using the plate(s) required for your machine.

Stencil the diecut with Sunflower Yellow and Pearlescent Thyme Brilliance inks - the color-coded guide included in the Gracious Floral Stencil Set makes it simple!

Cut lime green cardstock with the 2-¾" wide Curved Cap Pinpoint Layers die.

Stamp the greeting on white cardstock with Pearlescent Thyme Brilliance and quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.  Cut the greeting with the second-smallest Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Trim the excess cardstock with the edge of a larger die.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foam tape for the petal- and leaf-tips.  Add dark gold  Treasure Chest Fairy Gemstones.  Cut an A6-sized rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing. Just Because With Gracious Floral
by Theary Chea

Hello there! Welcome back to the blog! My name is Theary, and I am sharing a super easy card I created using some products from the Gracious Floral collection.

MBGraciousfloralCL5280ThearyChea1 (1)

If you're not big on coloring, this is perfect! It is easier than coloring because all the work is done with inks and layering stencils with coordinating stamps and dies.
MBGraciousfloralCL5280ThearyChea1 (1)

I began by stamping out the Gracious Floral CL5280 onto white-colored cardstock. Then, using several colors of distress oxide inks with a blending brush, I inked each layered stencil individually.

MBGraciousfloralCL5280ThearyChea1 (1)

I used Gracious Floral Dies CL5280D along with the Gracious Floral 3D Embossing folder EF1026 to give the image more dimension and ran that through my die-cutting machine. I love how much interest this gives to the blended florals.

MBGraciousfloralCL5280ThearyChea2 (1)

I adhered it onto a background I created using Marvelous Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies EF1035.

The sentiment was also from Gracious Floral, which I stamped out in brown colored ink and adhered to the panel.

I hope you found some inspiration! And I hope to see you next time.

Have a wonderfully blessed day,
Theary Chea

Watercolor Pencil Gracious Floral
by Anne Thompson

This week  I looked through my craft supplies for something I hadn't used in a long time and came up with a set of 24 Derwent Watercolor Pencils that I used with the Gracious Floral stamp/die set for this card.

IMG_1961 (1)-ink

to make this card using the GRACIOUS FLORAL CLEAR STAMP AND DIE SET CL5280D

  • stamp the GRACIOUS FLORAL clear stamp on watercolor paper with a pigment ink--I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink which is waterproof
  • color the image with the watercolor pencils, adding layers of color for shading effects

IMG_1951 (1)-ink

  • use the coordinating die to cut out the dry image

IMG_1956 (1)-ink

  • audition the colored image against the plaids in the MAGNOLIA PLAID 6X6 PAD PP1021 to find the one that goes best with the colors in your floral piece; trim to 5 1/4 X 4 and add to the front of a white note card
  • add the floral image to the plaid paper using dimensional foam dots

IMG_1959 (1)-ink

And that's it--waiting for the watercolors to air dry took the most time.

IMG_1961 (1)-ink

You could also decide on your background paper first and then choose the coordinating watercolor pencils for painting the Gracious Floral image.  Want to change it up even more?  Add paint spatters.  Add jewels on the background paper or in the flower center.   Add shimmer spray.  Highlight the line details with a white or gold or other color pen.  Add a ribbon tied around the card or an accent bow.  There's so much you can do with this one stamp/die combination to make cards for any occasion!  I usually start making my holiday cards in July so am reimagining this design as a Christmas card with lots of reds and greens.

Happy Crafting!

Special Moments – Embossed and Glossed by Jean Okimoto

P1025850

Celebrate special moments with a summer-y floral slimline.  Hi, Jean here with a combination of soft colors, bold designs and a lot of texture.

P1025875
Cut the pale peach Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad 6x6 with the blossom die from the Gracious Floral 3D Embossing Folder and Die Set.  Place the diecut in the folder and  emboss it using the plates required for your machine.  Ink the center with Brilliance Pearlescent Lime and set it aside to dry.

The Gracious Floral Clear Stamp and Die set includes the floral die and 2 greeting dies.  Cut the design from heavy white cardstock.  Ink the embossing folder with Brilliance Rocket Red Gold - tap the inkpad repeatedly over the surface without squishing it into the design. Emboss the cardstock.

Stamp the greeting on pale green cardstock with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair. Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.   Dry the ink, then trim it with one end of the ⅞" wide Slim Basic Rectangles die.  Trim the other end with the side of a larger die from the rectangles set.

Trim the Madras Plaid Coral and Green 6x6 with the 1-⅜" wide Slim Basic Rectangles die - cut it vertically, including the top portion  where the sheets are attached.

Cut white cardstock with the 2-¼" wide Slim Basic Rectangles die

P1025863

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-⅝" x 8-⅝") - use foam tape where the petals extend beyond the background rectangles.  Add clear Christmas Fairy Crystals.  Cut a slimline-sized rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting the blog...have a great weekend!

Just For You
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_5309

Happy Thursday everyone!  I have a summer themed card for you today, using an easy embossed technique.

To create the background, I stamped the fish using yellow pigment ink and heat embossed the images using clear embossing powder.

IMG_5307

Next, I applied distress ink to the background using domed blending tools.  The ink resists the yellow embossed images to highlight the yellow fish.

IMG_5308

I spattered the background with white ink and used foam tape to adhere it to a white card base.

I die cut some seaweed and coral elements from vellum and glued those to the card.

The sentiment was stamped with gold ink and heat embossed using gold embossing powder.  I used the coordinating die to cut out the words.  Foam tape was used to adhere it to the card front.

IMG_5310

To finish the card I used some Fairy Gemstones to add some texture.

That's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Prints and Plaid Gracious Floral
by Anne Thompson

In keeping with this month's green challenge I pulled out the two magnolia paper collections to use with the newest Gracious Floral products for this card.

IMG_1947 (1)-ink

to make this card

  • white note card
  • green leafy print paper from MAGNOLIA GROVE PP1022 adhered to a piece of white card stock, trimmed to 4 X 5 1/4, and added to the white note card
  • large GRACIOUS FLORAL CLEAR STAMP CL5280 stamped in VersaFine Clair Rain Forest ink on a piece of green plaid paper from MAGNOLIA PLAID PP1021; cut out using the coordinating die from GRACIOUS FLORAL CLEAR STAMP SET AND DIE CL5280D (if you have only the stamp set, fussy cut the center flower from the rest of the stamped image); dark lines on stamped image outlined with white Uni-Ball Signo broad ink pen
  • large GRACIOUS FLORAL CLEAR STAMP CL5280 stamped again in VersaFine Clair Rain Forest ink on a pink/white/green floral paper from MAGNOLIA GROVE, embossed and die cut using GRACIOUS FLORAL 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER AND CUTTING DIE EF1026
  • added ink dots to flower center using gold Uni-Ball Signo broad ink pen; adhered flower to center of the green plaid image using a foam dimensional dot under the center

IMG_1943 (1)-ink

  • used more foam dimensional dots to add that completed image to the card front

IMG_1946 (1)-ink
I think the white pen lines really help to define the image on the dark paper and work well with the white in the center flower and the white of the note card.  The dark plaid also pops against the brighter green leafy paper.  This design works for any summer occasion by adding an appropriate sentiment on the inside.  And I'll also use some of the scrap papers left to add interest to the inside of the note card and the outside of the envelope.

Happy Crafting!
