Hello everyone. I have an all-occasion see-through trellis card today featuring the Marvelous Magnolia 3D embossing folder (EF) and matching cutting dies from the April 2023 Magnolia collection. I am still loving this gorgeous collection!
Started by attaching an A2 size Bristol panel to a white A2 size top folding card base with temporary adhesive. Using the 4th Curved Cap Pinpoint die, partial die cut down the middle of the front of the card resulting in these.
White woodgrain paper scraps were then trimmed to 3/8” wide strips to create the trellis. Adhered them diagonally to the front of the card base in one direction.
Then in the opposite direction.
Added the A2 size Bristol panel from the first step on top to cover up the mess. 😉
The magnolia flowers were first die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock using the Marvelous Magnolia EF dies, then ran through the die cutting machine in the EF to give them details and dimension. Coloured / shaded them with Copic Sketch markers
Decided to keep the magnolias white and have the color come through the trellis from the inside of the card. Ombré ink blended Shaded Lilac distress ink onto a Bristol panel, then adhered to the inside.
The Hello Daily Script sentiment was in my stash. It was die cut from black glossy paper and white cardstock. Assembled the card to finish.
I almost gave up on this card as I had a different design in mind… and it wasn’t working out too well. 😂 Anyway, that does it for my card. Thank you for joining me today. Have a wonderful week.

I'm so glad you didn't give up on this card, it is gorgeous. Now you can use that idea you had on another card, I love the trellis and pretty, soft color behind it. The flowers are so real.

So happy you persevered making this card Trina. It's absolutely gorgeous and such a unique design. I love your trellis with the white magnolias. The ombre purple background is so beautiful and soft in the background. Great work!
