Just For You
by Angie Cimbalo

Not stamped main

Hello and welcome!  I have two similar cards made with the new mini release from Memory Box.  In this release there is a large floral 3D embossing folder with single floral die, a coordinating stamp set and die set, along with stencils that help you color the large image.

This first card was created by embossing the image, stenciling the colors on the embossed areas, then using the large die from the stamp set to cut it out.  Next I cut the center flower out with the small die that comes in the embossing folder and a second one from white and stacked them, colored one on top.  I put the whole large image back into the embossing folder to embossed it again as it had slightly flattened when I die cut it.  I glued the yellow stacked flower on top of the center and then popped the whole large image up on the card front.

Lastly I added the sentiment, which is from the stamp/die set which I heat embossing in white on black card, and I added a few jewels too.  Here's one last look:

Now for the 2nd card, which looks very similar, here are the steps I used to make it.  First I stamped the large image and colored it with the stencils.  Next I cut out the center flower using the small die included in the embossing folder.  Then I die cut the entire image with the large die from the stamp set.  I added the image to the embossing folder after I colored it.  On this card, I did the same thing with the center flower, cut one extra from white card to stack under the colored one.  Just like on the other card, I popped it up and added jewels around the card front.

Here you can see the stacked center flower:

And here's one last look at my second card:

I hope you like my cards for today.  Feel free to stop by my blog for links and more information!

Celebrate
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_5238

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today's card has a 4th of July theme to it, but it could be used for a any summer occasion.  I used the new Gracious Floral Stamp for my stamped image to create this card.

I began by ink blending Distress Oxide Inks on a white cardstock panel.

IMG_5232

Next, I spattered the panel with plain water and used my heat tool to dry it completely.

I stamped my image with Black pigment ink, sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and used a heat tool to melt the embossing powder.

I used a paint brush and water to paint in the flowers and remove some of the distress ink.

IMG_5235

Once I was happy with the results I dried the panel with my heat tool.

I used a white colored pencil to add some highlights to the stamped image and lightly spattered it with white ink.

IMG_5236

I mounted the card panel to a black cardstock mat and adhered it to a white card base.

I die cut the word celebrate from white cardstock and the shadow from black cardstock.  I glued the white die cut word to the shadow die cut and adhered it to the card.

IMG_5237

To finish the card, I added some Clear Fairy Drops to the background and Black Nuvo Drops to the flower center.  That's it for today!

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Just Because Gracious Floral
by Trina Pham

IMG_1395

Hello there.  I have a simple card to share today featuring the new gorgeous Gracious Floral stamp and die.  There are coordinating stencils and embossing folder (EF), but since I love to color, especially florals, I simply stamped the image with a gray alcohol marker friendly ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, colored with Copic Sketch markers, then die cut out with the matching die.

Copic markers used:
yellows - Y11/13/15/17/19
greens - G40/12,YG07/09, G09
whites - W3
brown center - E25/35 + white gel pen

IMG_1396

The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder on black card stock, then die cut out with its matching die.  Bristol paper was then die cut with the Penelope Pinpoint Frame die from Poppy Stamps for a white-on-white background.  Assembled the card onto a white card base, and added clear shimmer to the yellow flowers for some sparkle to finish.

IMG_1398

My card was straight forward, but as you may have noticed from previous posts, there are so many possibilities when incorporating the stencils and/or EF.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Simply Embossed - Gracious Floral Slimline by Jean Okimoto

Need a quick - really quick - thank you card?  3D-ink embossing adds color, texture and dimension to today's Gracious Floral design.  It's a rough, rustic handcrafted look that highlights the details of the 3D embossing folder.   Hi, Jean here with an easy slimline idea for a busy day.

MemoryBoxGraciousFloral3DEmbossingFolderAndDie, MemoryBoxGraciousFloralClearStampAndDieSet, MemoryBoxTreasureChestFairyGemstones, MemoryBoxMagnoliaPlaid6x6, MemoryBoxGraciousFloralStencilSet, MemoryBoxSlimBasicRectangleLayers, JeanOkimoto, MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDiecuts, Diecutting, DiecutCards, 3DEmbossingFolders, StenciledCards, Stenciling, SlimlineCards, EmbossingFolders, EmbossedDiecuts, FloralDiecuts, HandmadeCards, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Cut a 4-¼" x 5-¼" piece of watercolor paper.  Place the Gracious Floral 3D Embossing Folder on a hard surface and ink the top portion with Electric Purple Radiant Neon.  For even coverage - lift and press the inkpad without squishing it into the design.  Pigment inks work best for this technique - dye inks might dry too quickly.

Lightly spritz both sides of the paper with a light mist of water and place it in the folder with the smoother side facing the inked design.  Run it through your diecut machine using the plates required for pressure embossing.  Carefully remove the paper and heat-set the ink.

Daub Sunflower Yellow Brilliance ink onto the flower centers - I used stencil patterns A4 and D3 from the Gracious Floral Stencil Set.  Use a cotton swab to ink the centers if you're waiting for your stencil set delivery.

Cut the design with the die from the Gracious Floral Clear Stamp and Die Set.

Cut the purple and gold diagonal plaid from the Magnolia Plaid 6x6 pack with the ⅞" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Cut purple cardstock with the 1-⅛" wide die.

Stamp the greeting - from the Gracious Floral Clear Stamp and Die Set - on watercolor paper with Electric Purple.  Heat-set the ink. Trim the greeting with the smallest Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die. Cut it near a short end of the die, then trim the excess using one of the larger dies in the set to create a custom-sized greeting strip with nice edges.  Details, details!

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-⅝" x 8-½") - use foam tape for the petal- and leaf-tips.  Add the purple/blue Treasure Chest Gemstones. Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Inky embossing is a fast and easy process - make a few extras for future cards before you clean your embossing folder.  They'll be ready when you need another quick card.

Thanks for visiting...see you on July 4th!

Sending Love With Exquisite Leaf Frame
by Theary Chea

Hello there! Welcome back to the blog! My name is Theary, and I am sharing a gorgeous card I created using some products from the Magnolia collection.

IMG_3511 (1)

The background was created by blending distress oxide inks onto white-colored cardstock and a blending brush. I also splattered gold paint onto the blended panel.
IMG_3511 (1)

To create the flowers, I used Magnolia Blossom 94715 and die-cut that out of white colored cardstock. I then used distress oxide inks and blended that onto the die-cut pieces. To add more interest to the flowers, I added touches of white gel pen to give them some highlights.

IMG_3511 (1)

To create the frame, I used Exquisite Leaf Frame 94665 and die-cut that out of black and white colored cardstock. I layered the two by flipping one upside down and adhered it onto the inked blended panel.

I used Sending Love Daily Script 94661, which I die-cut from white and gold paper to create the sentiment.

Finally, I added Fairy Jewels JWL004 to add some interest.

And that is it! I hope you enjoy it, and I hope to see you back next time.

Have a wonderfully blessed day,
Theary Chea

Gracious Floral Stencil Art Card
by Anne Thompson

I decided to make a card using the GRACIOUS FLORAL STENCIL SET 88620.  This set has five stencils and a guide for layering and coloring the image.  I didn't exactly use the stencils and guide as intended so this is the end result...more of a Gracious Floral Stencil art card.

IMG_1894 (1)-ink

I started with a piece of white card stock.  People who know me well won't be the least bit surprised that I did my own thing with the stencils.  I followed the steps in the guide mostly and sort of followed the placement sometimes and also changed up the colors using PrismaColor Pencils.  My image is a bit different than what is in the directions folder because I didn't stamp or emboss the flowers first but just laid the stencils down to create the image.   And after I finished coloring it in I outlined the whole thing with a black pen.

IMG_1895 (1)-ink

I trimmed the Gracious Floral piece to 3 3/4 X 3 3/4.  I mounted it on a piece of black card stock cut to 4 X 4.  Then I added that panel to a top fold card.  I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink (black) to stamp "you make my heart happy" from the GRACIOUS FLORAL CLEAR STAMP SET CL5280.

 Happy Crafting!

Die cut white card stock using the Gracious Floral die and then emboss with the matching folder.  Ink blend using the Gracious Floral stencils Elements Confetti for the main follower, Violet Chalk for the larger surrounding flowers and Sundance for the smaller followers.  Use Pine for the leaves.  I used a brush and went from a light application of ink to a heavy application of ink as I changed out the stencils. The stencils are numbers and has a diagram included, making it easy to follow.

Add texture and dimension to your summer projects with 3D embossing, diecuts, layered stencils and clear stamps from our latest release - the Gracious Floral Collection.  It's a versatile, coordinated group of design elements to mix, match and layer for quick and easy projects - or detailed works of art.  Hi, Jean here with an embossed, stenciled friendship card for someone experiencing some challenging times.

MemoryBoxGraciousFloralStencilSet, MemoryBoxGraciousFloralClearStampAndDieSet, MemoryBoxPastelJewels, MemoryBoxNestedGlobes, MemoryBoxGraciousFloral3DEmbossingFolderAndDie, JeanOkimoto, FlowerDiecuts, HandmadeFlowerCard, HandmadeCards, Diecutting, DiecutFlowrs, 3DEmbossingFolder, BrillianceInkpads, Stenciling, MemoryBoxGraciousFloral

Cut heavy white cardstock with the floral outline die from the Gracious Floral Clear Stamp and Die Set.  Spray each side of the diecut with a light spritz of water.  Place it securely in the Gracious Floral 3D Embossing Folder and pressure emboss it using the plate(s) required for your machine. A blossom die also comes with the embossing folder - save it for another project.

Sponge or brush the different sections of the blossoms and leaves using the layered, numbered Gracious Floral Stencil Set.   Great news...the set also includes a colored, numbered printout to guide you through the stenciling sequence!  I used the same Pearlescent Brilliance inks - Coral, Lime, Orange and Sunflower Yellow - to stencil multiple layers of the same colors to build dimension.

Cut white cardstock with the 2-½" and 3" wide Nested Globes dies for a subtle white-on-white background to accent the flowers  without competing with them.

Stamp the greeting - from the Gracious Floral Clear Stamp and Die Set - on white cardstock with Pearlescent Lime.  Cut it with the second-smallest Nested Globes die.  Tuck the blank space on the left side under the edge of the globes when the card is assembled.

MemoryBoxGraciousFloralStencilSet, MemoryBoxGraciousFloralClearStampAndDieSet, MemoryBoxPastelJewels, MemoryBoxNestedGlobes, MemoryBoxGraciousFloral3DEmbossingFolderAndDie, JeanOkimoto, FlowerDiecuts, HandmadeFlowerCard, HandmadeCards, Diecutting, DiecutFlowrs, 3DEmbossingFolder, BrillianceInkpads, Stenciling, MemoryBoxGraciousFloral

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foam tape for the petals and leaves that extend over the edge of the globe diecuts.  Add pale gold Pastel Jewels.  Cut an A6-sized rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The greeting is set back and partially hidden...like someone providing quiet, behind-the-scenes support and encouragement.

The coordinating elements of the Gracious Floral Collection make it easy to create a wide range of summer and all-occasion projects.  Everything - from simple cards to detailed mixed media designs!

Thanks for visiting - have a great weekend...Jeansignature-3

Gracious Floral Stamped Fun Fold Card
by Anne Thompson

So by now you may have heard that we have some new products from Memory Box.  Hooray for the 2023 June Gracious Floral Collection!!!  I made another fun fold card for today that features the GRACIOUS FLORAL Clear Stamp Set CL5280.

IMG_1879 (1)-ink
What I did was add a small Z-fold card on top of a flat base with lots of layers--purple card stock layered with papers from MAGNOLIA PLAID PP1021  and MAGNOLIA GROVE PP1022 and white card stock stamped with the largest image from GRACIOUS FLORAL CL5280 Clear Stamp Set.

So let's put this card together.

  • Start with a base layer of purple card stock cut 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.
  • Add plaid paper cut 4 X 5 1/4.
  • Set that aside.

  • Cut another piece of purple card stock 4 1/4 X 9 3/4.
  • Score it at 3 1/4 and 6 1/2.  Fold and use a bone folder to get crisp folds.
  • When you set it on the table it should look like a Z from the side.
  • Cut three pieces of patterned paper each 3 X 4 -- I used two pieces of the same floral and a plaid that matches the one I used on the base.
  • Open the Z panels strip flat and add the patterned papers to each of the Z panels.

  • Stamp the large floral image from Gracious Floral twice on white card stock.
  • Color the images with PrismaColor Pencils -- I used greens, pink, and brown.

IMG_1885 (1)-ink

  • For the front of the card, cut another piece of purple card stock 2 1/2 X 3.
  • Cut a piece of plaid paper 2 1/4  X 2 3/4 and add it to the purple piece.
  • Trim one of the floral images to 2 X 2 1/2 and add that to finish the panel.
  • Attach that panel to the front of the Z-fold card.

IMG_1873 (1)-ink

  • For the center of the Z fold, add a piece of white card stock cut 2 3/4 X 3 3/4 and stamp "just for you" from the Gracious Floral stamp set in black ink (I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne).

IMG_1874 (1)-ink

  • For the final panel in the Z fold, add the other floral image trimmed to 2 3/4 X 3 3/4.
  • Put adhesive on the back of this panel and secure it to the flat card that you started with.

The newest collection includes a stencil set, an embossing folder and coordinating dies, the stamp set, and the stamp set with coordinating dies.  I chose to color my flowers as magnolias but the possibilities for these flowers are endless.

Happy Crafting!

Introducing…The Gracious Floral Summer Release by Jean Okimoto

P1025494

Welcome a new season with our fresh new Gracious Floral release!  It's a coordinated collection of clear stamps, dies, layering stencils and a 3D embossing folder - perfect for cards, invitations, layouts and mixed media designs. Hi, Jean here - with the first of many Gracious Floral projects from our Design Team.

P1025490

Stamp the beautiful floral design on medium-weight white vellum with VersaMark.  Heat-emboss the design with detail white embossing powder.

Flip both the stamped/embossed vellum and the layering stencils over to their reverse sides and brush or daub the design with Distress Oxides.  Colors used here are twisted citron, bundled sage, kitsch flamingo, spun sugar and dried marigold.  Set it aside to dry.  Adding colors to the reverse side protects the glossy white embossing and lets the image stand out.

Stamp the greeting on natural cardstock with Pearlescent Orchid Brilliance and dry the ink.  Diecut the greeting.  Glue two pieces of natural cardstock together and diecut the greeting shape again - then layer it behind the stamped greeting for dimension.

Diecut the 3-¼" wide Curved Cap Pinpoint Layer.

Diecut the floral design.  Attach it to the Curved Cap Pinpoint Layer with narrow strips of doublestick tape.  The tape won't be visible behind the vellum and Distress Oxides.

Attach the diecuts to a natural A6 card (4-½"x 6-¼").  Add pale pink Pastel Jewels.  Cut an A6-sized rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

P1025504

You'll discover many ways to combine the versatile design elements in our new release.  Have fun creating summer projects - they'll be beautiful in soft pastels, summer brights, or contemporary color combos.

Thanks for visiting...can't wait to see what Anne's designing for our next post!
