Need a quick, easy and fail-proof card?  Memory Box Magnolia Rub-On Transfers add the perfect amount of color and detail to any design.  Add a dimensional greeting and sparkly pink Pastel Jewels...and your card is ready to go!  Hi, Jean here with a simple thank you card for a busy day.

Tape the 3-½" and 2-½" wide Nested Globe dies to natural cardstock and diecut them for a simple offset inlaid background.  Tape them together on the reverse side.

Cut the curved Magnolia Rub-On Transfer branch and its paper liner - leave a generous border around it.  Carefully remove the paper liner and tap the transfer onto the globe background.  Place it between two layers of printer paper and run it through your diecut machine using the base and cutting plates.  The transfer sets include a wood craft stick to burnish the design - but running it through the machine is great for burnishing too.  Carefully remove the frosty top plastic layer.

Squeegee glue between two pieces of natural cardstock and diecut the solid Thank You Posh Script background.  Pressure-emboss the background with the detailed top layer using the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine.  Embossing the background creates a debossed area that makes it super-easy to attach the detailed top layer.  Cut the top layer from the pink Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad 6x6.  Assemble the greeting.

Attach the diecuts to a top-folded pink A2 card - use foam tape for the greeting.  Add pink Pastel Jewels.

Magnolia Rub-On Transfers - paired with shimmery greetings and sparkly jewels - are great for any occasion.  Decorate a stash of backgrounds with the floral and foliage transfers.  Diecut coordinating greetings and have them ready when you need a quick card.

Thanks for visiting...see you in June!

Marvelous Magnolia Embossed Card
by Anne Thompson

Today I used the MARVELOUS MAGNOLIA 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER AND CUTTING DIES EF1035, a piece of leafy paper from MAGNOLIA GROVE PP1022, and a white Prismacolor pencil to create this "let hope carry you through" card.

IMG_1725-ink

I began by using both the Marvelous Magnolia embossing folder and the cutting dies with pieces of black card stock.

IMG_1682 (1)-ink

I trimmed the embossed image to 5 1/4 X 4 and added it to a white note card that I had covered with a leafy print paper from the Magnolia Grove paper pad.

IMG_1685 (1)-ink

I added the three die cut blooms to the inside of the note card.

IMG_1687 (1)-ink

I went back to the front of the card with a white Prismacolor pencil because I thought the image looked too stark and added white to the embossed branches and blossoms.

IMG_1718 (1)-ink

The next step was to choose an appropriate sentiment to add to the front of the card..."let hope carry you through" from the FLOWERING CACTUS CL5271 clear stamps set seemed right for this image and for the person who will receive it.

Magnolia Buds Pop-Up Card
by Trina Pham

IMG_0977

Hello everyone.  Today I am sharing a floral bouquet pop-up card featuring the Magnolia Bud Trio die from the April 2023 Magnolia collection.  Removing the belly band reveals the fun surprise inside! 🤗

IMG_0978

Started with two side folding A2 size card bases made from black cardstock.  Trimmed one down about 1/8” smaller, then using a ruler and a white gel pen, marked off the bouquet details as follows.

IMG_0974

The dot is the point of the bottom of the bouquet wrap while the lines are the top of the wrap and shelves for attaching the buds and leaves. Cut along the lines with scissors and scored from the end point of the longest line to the dot.  Fold as follows.

IMG_0975

Opened it up and mountain fold all sections to form the bouquet base.

IMG_0976

Die cut the Magnolia Bud Trio from white cardstock and colored the buds with a finger brush and Wilted Violet distress ink.  Die cut the leaves with the Magnolia Leaf Branch die and colored the leaves with YG61/63/67 Copic Sketch markers.  Glued the buds and leaves to form the bouquet, checking each time to ensure placement does not impede folding.  Magnolia Plaid paper was used for the wrap

IMG_0979

Created the belly band from black cardstock and the same plaid paper to keep the card cohesive.  The For You Posh Script sentiment was in my stash.  It was die cut from gold Vintage Pastel Mirror paper and mounted on its black shadow.

IMG_0982

Didn’t want the few unused buds and left over branch to go to waste, so added them to the belly band afterwards.  Finished off with some clear shimmer on the buds for some sparkle.

update: a quick video of it can be seen over on my IG account HERE.   Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Sending Love With Magnolia Blooms 3D Embossing Folder
by Theary Chea

Hello there! It's Theary back on the blog again today. For today's project, I am sharing a card I created using the beautiful Magnolia Blooms 3D Embossing Folder from the Magnolia Collection.

IMG_2787 (2)

I started by embossing the 3D embossing folder with beige-colored cardstock that I trimmed to 5.25" x 4". I am in love with the dimension that is imprinted onto the cardstock. It provides so much texture and depth to the card design.

IMG_2786 (2)

To give the magnolias a little bit more interest, I used colored pencils to color over the embossed areas. I then used white paint and splattered that over the entire card panel.

The sentiment is Just A Note Daily Script, which I cut out of glossy black cardstock a few times and layered to give it dimension. I then adhered that to a strip of vellum that I placed across the bottom half of the card panel.

IMG_2787 (2)

And that's it! I hope you found some inspiration and have time to get crafty!

Until next time,
Theary Chea

Take the Magnolia Collection beyond beautiful magnolias...imagine a tall bouquet of yellow blossoms!  I've never seen yellow or long-stemmed magnolias but they're great for a thank you card.  Hi, Jean here with just another way to take advantage of the  versatile designs in our latest collection.

MemoryBoxMagnoliaBlossomTrio, MemoryBoxCrispBows, MemoryBoxVerticalLineCollage, MemoryBoxChristmasFairyJewels, MemoryBoxBigAndLittleWordsClearStamps, MemoryBoxSunnyOrange6x6, MemoryBoxVintagePastelMirroPad, JeanOkimoto, MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDiecuts, FloralDiecuts, DiecutFlowers, HandmadeCards, CardmakingIdeas, Papercrafts, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Cut 5 blossoms from the Magnolia Blossom Trio using an assortment of yellow 6x6's from the Sunny Orange Collection.  Daub VersaFine Verdant onto the center diecuts and the base for the tallest flower. Assemble the blossoms.

Cut Vertical Line Collage from green cardstock - the offcuts become stems here.  Attach the stems and angle-trim the bottoms.

Cut 2 bows from the Crisp Bows set from the gold Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad 6x6.  Trim the curled loops. Carefully pull each bow's vertical center strip away from the center.  Offset the bows and glue them together.

Stamp the greeting - from the Big and Little Reverse Words Clear Stamp Set - on light green cardstock with VersaFine Shady Lane.  Quickly heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.  Diecut it with the coordinating die that's included in the stamp set.  Tape the bow to the back of the greeting with foam tape.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foam tape for several petals and the greeting.  Attach light green Christmas Fairy Jewels.  Cut an A6 rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Turn this basic design into a get well, birthday, congrats or friendship card too - everyone loves flowers!

Thanks for visiting - enjoy the weekend...

Hello Magnolia Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_4994

Hello everyone!  Today I have another Magnolia card for you featuring a stenciled background for the Magnolia die cut to lay on.

The first thing I did was use a low tack tape to mask off a rectangle in the center of the card panel.

IMG_4987

I placed the Leafy Row Stencil over the masked background, then used a blender brush and Distress Inks to add color through the stencil.  I removed the stencil and before I removed the tape I used what ink was left on my brushes to blend in some color to the background.

IMG_4990

I die cut the Magnolia Floral Stem from white cardstock and used Distress Inks and Blender brushes to add color to the flower and leaves.  I used Saltwater Taffy and Picked Raspberry for the flower, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss for the leaves, and Gathered Twigs for the stem.

I glued the flower and leaves together and then adhered them to the card front.

Next, I die cut the word Hello from gold foil paper and glued that to the card.

IMG_4996

To finish the card, I used foam tape to adhere the card front to a white card base, and that's it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

Hugs in Bloom by Jean Okimoto

P1025149 2

Send hugs with Magnolia Rub-On Transfers - from bud to bloom - on a layered slimline greeting.  Hi, Jean here with a floral design in comforting shades of soft pinks and warm browns.

P1025137
Cut the magnolia buds and blossom and their paper liners from the transfer sheet - leave a generous border around each design.  Carefully remove the paper liner and press the transfers lightly onto pink cardstock - leave extra space to diecut the circles.  The Magnolia Rub-On Transfers sets include a wood craft stick to burnish the beautiful designs.  Or run them through the diecut machine to burnish the designs - between 2 sheets of printer paper and the base + cutting plates. Remove the frosty protective top layer then diecut the designs with the 1-½" and 1-¾" Circle Basics dies.

Cut light pink cardstock with the 6.7" x 1.7" Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Cut the rectangle with the Vertical Line Collage die.

Cut the leafy brown Magnolia Grove 6x6 with the 1.4" x 6.4" Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Attach the brown print behind the collage cutout.

Cut the Hugs Tender Script background from light pink cardstock.  Spritz both sides with a light mist of water, then pressure-emboss it with the detailed top layer of the greeting.  Pressure-embossing creates a debossed area to attach the detailed top layer.  Cut the top layer from the brown leaf print.  Assemble the greeting.

P1025142

Attach the diecuts to a light pink slimline card (3-⅝" x 8-½") - use foam taper for the greeting.  Add pale gold Treasure Chest Fairy Gemstones.  Cut a slimline-sized rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The Magnolia Rub-On Transfers look beautifully realistic over white and natural cardstock.  Layer them over pink, light lavender or light violet cardstock for a different look.

Thanks for visiting...have a great week!

Love You Magnolia Blossoms All-Occasion Card
by Anne Thompson

I knew I wanted to use the new MAGNOLIA RUB ON TRANSFERS RUB101 in some way on a card for today's post.  This is what I came up with:

IMG_1699-ink (1)

I knew I wanted dimension on this card so I began by die cutting magnolia blossoms from black card stock using the dies that came with the MARVELOUS MAGNOLIA 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER EF1035.  I then added matching rub ons to white card stock and used the same dies to cut them out.

IMG_1689 (1)-ink

I layered the magnolia blossoms on top of the two layers of black card stock ones.

I chose a coordinating pink plaid paper from the MAGNOLIA PLAID PP1021 paper pad, trimmed it to 5 1/4 X 4, and added it to the front of a white note card.

I added the larger blossom to the bottom of the notecard with glue.  I used dimensional foam dots to add the other two blossoms to the card front.

IMG_1693 (1)-ink

I chose the LOVE YOU GALLERY SCRIPT 94636 die for the sentiment and layered it up, cutting it twice from black card stock and once from white card stock.

IMG_1696 (1)-ink

I used the lines in the plaid to angle the sentiment in the top half of the card.

IMG_1699-ink (1)

Now I have a lovely card ready to go for any occasion!

Happy Crafting!
