For You
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_3900

Good morning everyone!  Today I have a bright, all occasion card for you.

To make the card, I started with a white cardstock panel that I masked off with removable tape.  I used a blending brush to add Distress Ink to the masked off rectangle.

IMG_3833

I removed the tape from the cardstock and dry embossed the panel using the Ringadings 3D Embossing folder.  To add some glimmer to the inked area of the embossed background, I used a brayer to apply gold ink to it.

Next, I adhered the background to a gold metallic mat and glued it to a white card base.

I die cut the Verdant Leaf from Vellum, and rubbed over it with gold metallic ink.

The words "For You" were die cut from gold metallic cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock.  I glued the gold words to the shadow die cut and adhered it to the center of the card.  Next I tucked in the die cut leaf behind the words.

To finish the card, I added some gold Fairy Crystals and that's it.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Glitter Card, Hot Foil and Watercolor Cards
by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with two Valentine's Day cards made with dies, watercolor card, glitter paper and a little hot foiling.  Here's a closer look at card number 1:

I took a watercolored panel and the "Blissful Heart" hot foil plate (MBF014) and foiled it directly onto the watercolor panel.  Next I cut the heart out of it to use on my 2nd card.  For this first card I used another section of the watercolored panel for my card background, then added a white glitter card stock heart, cut with the "Double Stitch Loving Heart Cut Out" (94359) and added "Sending Love Daily Script" sentiment die (94661) cut from light purple glitter paper from Delicate Pastel Glitter pad and white card stock.  I arranged the heart and sentiment at an angle on the watercolored panel.  Then added it all to a white card base and added a light purple heart cut with a smaller die from the same heart set.

Okay, on to card number 2.  I used the left over piece of white glitter paper (love those double stitch heart lines) and inserted the foiled heart.  I love the way the heart looks when foiled with gold foil with my Gemini Foil Press machine on watercolor card. Here's a closer look at the heart:

The sentiment was cut from light purple glitter paper and white glitter paper.

Here's another look:

And here's one last look at my 2nd card:

I hope you like my sparkly cards for today.  I think foiling and glitter paper go well together, what do you think?  I also hope I have inspired you to create some sparkly Valentine's Day card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Kisses for You
by Laura Fulcher

791DEC29-0170-4D52-8965-5B74E8CD08C9

Greetings friends. I thought I would post a project today for Valentine's Day instead of a card. I have being seeing people on TikTok take funnels and fill them up with Hershey's Kisses and place them onto aluminum foil. Once you wrap the funnel up in the foil, it looks like a giant Hershey's Kiss. It is hard to tell the scale from my first picture, but here is my "kiss" next to a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" card I made using the same die:

4438C362-40F2-48CF-9BC2-659038E247BA

The Kiss stands about 6" tall. I bought a set of three funnels at the Dollar Tree for $1.25. The largest funnel uses an entire bag of Kisses whereas the medium and small funnels can share a bag of Kisses. For my current project, I used the smallest funnel.

To make the tag, I cut out a red heart with sticky paper attached to it. I then attached the bottom part of my sentiment onto the sticky tape:

77E2DE1A-F207-40E5-9FCC-6170A607EF1A

To finish the tag, I sprinkled the whole thing with glitter, which attached to the rest of the sticky tape:

5735BBDF-ABFA-4DA4-96CC-AA0F7AC9166E

I then added the top of my sentiment as well as some outline hearts from a coffee/heart die. The outline hearts were a last minute thought, and I wished I had added them directly to the sticky tape before I added the glitter.

I attached some twine and then printed out a tag with the word Hersheys on it. I looked up the font that Hersheys uses, and it is called Milton. I wanted it to match the original. That might have been overkill, but I liked the end result.

Thanks for stopping by today!

by Trina Pham

Hello everyone.  I have this super easy rainbow card to share today featuring the Cuppa Love die from the current 2023 Valentines collection.

Started by picking out a light and darker color paper of each color hue.  The outline/handle was die cut from the light color paper white the cup was die cut from the darker one.  Unwanted parts were cut off before stacking the cups in rainbow order.

3013A3A9-C674-43EA-945A-FAAC6B451466

Glued the cup stack onto an A2 size white woodgrain panel.  Die cut the sentiment twice from white paper and mounted them onto its black shadow piece.  Die cut the heart from white cardstock and adhered to the cup to finish.

Did I mention how super easy this was? 😂  That does it for my card.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Variable-Sizing with Memory Box Dies by Jean Okimoto

Large detailed dies are versatile, practical and great for creating custom-sized diecuts for your projects.  Use the Basic series of dies - Square, Rectangle, Circle or Slim Rectangles - to trim large designs or spotlight specific portions of the design.

Examples - Pinpoint Burst Plate is a full A2-sized die that's perfect for trimming into with the Rectangle Basics dies.  The new Pinpoint Burst Heart can be trimmed with the Double Stitch Happy Heart Cut Out dies shown here - or with Double Stitch Loving Heart Cut Out dies.

Cut white cardstock with the 3-¾" x 5" Rectangle Basics die.  Place the rectangle exactly where you want it on the Pinpoint Burst Plate (the diecut piece will be a reverse-image) and cut it.

Cut white cardstock with the largest Double Stitch Happy Heart Cut Out die - save both the diecut and the offcut - they'll be the background for the pink heart.

Cut a dark pink 6x6 from the Berry Red Collection with the second-largest Double Stitch Happy Heart Cut Out die. Place the heart on the Pinpoint Burst Heart and cut it to add the details.

Cut the smallest heart from a medium pink sheet in the Graceful Garden Glitter Pad.

Cut the overlay of the Hugs Daily Script from the glittered sheet too.  Cut two white backgrounds of the Hugs Daily Script.  Glue them together for dimension, then pressure-emboss them with the overlay die.  Pressure-embossing the background makes it easy to attach the top layer - just glue it into the debossed sections.

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (6-¼" x 4-½").  Attach the pale pink-ish Winter Fantasy Fairy Gemstones.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting...have a great weekend!

Hugs and Kisses
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_3779 (1)

Hello everyone!  I have another Valentine's Day card for you featuring products from the 2023 Valentine's Day release.

IMG_3782 (1)

I did a faux letterpress technique using the Blissful Heart Hot Foil die.  This is a good example of using dies other than what they were intended for.

To do this technique I used a brayer to apply Red Archival ink to the die and placed a piece of watercolor paper on top of the die.  Next, I ran this through my die cutting machine following the instructions for embossing.

IMG_3756 (1)

I used one of the hearts from the Double Stitch Loving Heart die set to die cut the letterpress heart.

I die cut the Pinpoint Leaf Plate on a white cardstock panel and adhered it to a red cardstock mat.  This was glued to a white note card.

To create the strip behind the heart, I applied double stick to a white cardstock strip of paper and glued strips of cardstock to it.  This is a great way to use scraps of cardstock.  I glued this to the center of the card and used foam tape to adhere the letterpress heart to the card.

Next, I white heat embossed the words Hugs and Kisses to a strip of black cardstock and used foam tape to adhere it to the center of the heart.

IMG_3781 (1)

To finish the card I added some Clear Fairy Drops and that's it!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Watercolored Heart Ring Stack by Jean Okimoto

MemoryBoxHeartRingStack, MemoryBoxSendingLoveDailyScript, MemoryBoxMajesticHuesGlitterPad, MemoryBoxBerryRed6x6, MemoryBoxAutumnFairyCrystals, MemoryBoxSlimBasicRectangleLayers, MemoryBoxVibrantViolet6x6, JeanOkimoto, MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDies, ValentineDiecuts, HeartCards, HandmadeValentines, Cardcrafting, SlimlineCards, WatercoloredCards, HandmadeValentines, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Send heartfelt greetings with a row of ink-blended, watercolored, gold-spritzed hearts - and a pop of glitter.  Contrast it with a simple matte greeting that's just half of the great new Sending Love Daily Script die set.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with another favorite die from our Valentine '23 Collection.

Blend Distress Oxides on watercolor paper.  Colors used here are dried marigold, kitsch flamingo and picked raspberry.  They don't capitalize the names so I just go along with that!  Use a large round paintbrush to add splotches of water to the different colors.  Let the colors begin to blend for a few minutes then heat-set it.  Spritz it with Imagines Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz.  Splatter it with a few drops of the spritz too.  Air-dry it for a few minutes, then heat-set everything.

Cut it with the 1-⅝" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Trim the short ends so it's about 6" wide.

Cut white cardstock with the 1-⅜" wide Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Trim the short ends so it's about 5-½" wide.  Cut it with Heart Ring Stack.

Attach the Heart Ring Stack and the offcut to the watercolored strip - offset the rings for dimension.

Cut the love background portion from the Sending Love Daily Script from a dark pink 6x6 in the Berry Red Collection.  Cut the love overlay from a pink 6x6 in the Vibrant Violet Collection.

Cut the light coppery 6x6 from the Majestic Hues Glitter Pad with the 5th heart portion of the Heart Ring Stack die.

MemoryBoxHeartRingStack, MemoryBoxSendingLoveDailyScript, MemoryBoxMajesticHuesGlitterPad, MemoryBoxBerryRed6x6, MemoryBoxAutumnFairyCrystals, MemoryBoxSlimBasicRectangleLayers, MemoryBoxVibrantViolet6x6, JeanOkimoto, MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDies, ValentineDiecuts, HeartCards, HandmadeValentines, Cardcrafting, SlimlineCards, WatercoloredCards, HandmadeValentines, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-½" x 8-½").  Add light gold Autumn Fairy Crystals.  Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Heart Ring Stack is perfectly-sized for different card formats.  Add it to your next slimline, mini-slimline, A6 or A7 designs for a unique, classic design that's not too wonky...or too traditional.

Thanks for visiting!

Sweets Packages for My Sweeties
by Anne Thompson

Here are simple little packets to hold sweets for your sweeties.

IMG_1231 (1)-ink

  • I actually made quite a few of these over the weekend using up more of the Jolly Christmas 6X6 papers.

This is the way I assembled them.

IMG_1226 (1)-ink

  • Trim your paper to 3" X 4 1/2".  You'll need two of these.
  • Score both pieces at 4".
    IMG_1226 (1)-ink
  • Add a piece of double-sided tape (I used Scor-Tape) on the back side of one of the folds.
  • Add the other scored piece on top, matching the inside and outside plaids.  This forms the base of the packet so it will stand up.
    IMG_1226 (1)-ink
  • Add a strip of a coordinating paper to the center front.
  • Punch a hole on either side of that strip near the top of the packet.  You will add baker's twine (or another kind of ribbon, twine, etc.) to close the packet once you've added the sweets.

IMG_1231 (1)-ink

  • I used large Glue Dots to secure the chocolate squares inside the packet, attaching one to each inside strip.

IMG_1232 (1)-ink

  • I decorated this packet simply, adding small white pearls to the flower centers and larger red Fairy Dewdrops over the berries printed on the paper, and tied the packet closed with baker's twine.

IMG_1234 (1)-ink

  • For this packet I die cut three of the SCALLOP PINPOINT LOVING HEART CUT OUT 94364  from white card stock.  I used the heart centers by gluing the largest one to the front center strip and then adding the others with foam dimensional dots between each one.
  • I used baker's twine to tie the packet closed.

For a quicker assembly, use 8 1/2" X 11" card stock.  I prepared these for my valentines class at the senior center.

IMG_1224 (1)-ink

  • Cut your card stock strips 3" X 8 1/2".
  • Score at 3 7/8" and 4 5/8".
  • Add decorative papers and embellishments to the front, add your sweets to the inside, punch two holes at the top through all the layers, and tie the packets closed.

You might need to adjust the size of your strips (width, length) depending on what kind of sweets you want to tuck inside...peanut butter cups, needhams, small candy bars, bags of sweets.

And for decorating them--any of the hearts and floral dies and the valentine words dies from Memory Box!  Mix it up even more and add vintage valentine images, paper clips, buttons, ribbons, etc.

Happy Crafting!

Anne Signature
