Love grows...on repurposed Lavender Bouquet stems in a winter garden.  A Woodgrain Heart background and bold plaid balance glittery red hearts and gold crystals.  Hi, Jean here with a Valentine design for your special guy.

Cut light kraft cardstock with Woodgrain Heart.  Cut a 1-½" x 5-½" strip of the Christmas Jolly 6x6 plaid.

Cut Lavender Bouquet from black cardstock -  trim the blossoms and about ¼" from the tops of the 4-stem piece shown on the right side here.  Trim the blossoms of the other stems.

Cut the larger heart - with the Love You Gallery Script die - from the dark red  Festive Glitter Pad 6x6.  Cut two groups of the small hearts with the die from the Heart Streamer Globe set.

Cut just the background of the "love" portion of the Sending Love Daily Script set from red cardstock.  Cut the detailed top layer from black cardstock -  save the delicate oval from the "o" and the little piece in the top section of the "e."  Pressure-embossing the background makes it easy to adhere the delicate top layer - it'll fit right into the debossed background.

Pressure-emboss the red background with the detailed die using the rubber embossing mat and plate(s) required for your machine.  Assemble the greeting - add the saved black pieces.

Attach everything to a recycled kraft A6 card (4-½" X 6-¼") - use foam tape for the greeting.  Add the slightly darker gold Autumn Fairy Crystals.  Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting...keep warm, and have a great weekend!

by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  I have a Valentines card using the Christmas release products and 1 heart die.

3E72B106-DDE4-48B8-B311-3007ACE0D401_1_201_a

Bird:

Die cut the Bundled Bird dies from heavy white card stock.  Ink blend the die cuts using Distress Oxide pinks and reds from light to dark.  For the hat and scarf use Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry.  Leave the ball and trim of the hat white.  Shade the trim of the ha back die cut with Lost Shadows. For the bird I used Festive Berries, Lumberjack Plaid and Aged Mahogany. For the beak use Gathered Trigs and the eye use a black gel pen,  Adhere together using the envelope as a guide.

Front Panel:

Die cut an A2 white card panel with the largest die from the Double Stitch Loving Heart Cut Out.  Stamp "you warm my heart" from the Shining Star stamp set below the heart in the center and emboss with sparkle red embossing powder.  Then stamp the heart with a snow flake from the Shining Star stamp set around the cut out using Delicate Ruby Red ink. Adhere foam tape to the back of the panel.

Assembly:

Trim a dark red and white plaid paper from the Jolly Christmas paper pad to A2 size.  A darker color with a pink and white pattern will help the bird pop and coordinate with the colors.  Adhere to a top folding A2 white card.  Adhere the front panel to the card and then adhere the Bundled Bird to base behind the lower center of the heart.   Add some red Christmas Fairy Crystals and pink Pastel Jewels.

Hello Magnolia Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_4940

Hello everyone!  Here's another card for you today featuring new products from the Magnolia Release.

IMG_4942

I began by die cutting one of the Curved Pinpoint Layers from patterned paper.  I glued it in the center of a white cardstock panel.  Next, I adhered it to a black cardstock mat and glued it to a white card base.

I die cut the Magnolia Blooming Bud from white cardstock, and used Distress Oxide Inks to add color to them.

IMG_4939

I glued the die cuts together and used foam tape to adhere the flower to the card.

I hot foiled the word Hello and used foam tape to adhere it to the card.

Next, I spattered the card with gold ink and added some fairy crystals to add a little bling.

That's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Luxe Peony For You
by Trina Pham

2E6A7579-0F41-4495-9D0E-5E593280AE0C

Hello everyone.  I have an all-occasion card today featuring the Luxe Peony and For You Posh Script dies from the 2023 Valentine’s collection.

The peony was die cut three times from white cardstock.  Using a finger brush, ink blended Victorian Velvet distress ink to each piece before layering / gluing them together.  For some sparkle, spritz them with a shimmer spray.  The leaves were die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock then colored with Copic Sketch markers YG61, YG63 and YG61.

42637380-5AEB-4C9C-8D7A-97607E82416C

The sentiment was die cut once from gold mirror paper and twice from thick white paper, then stacked onto its white shadow piece.  On a white A2 size panel, splattered with diluted black gouache paint for a bit of texture.  Assembled the card onto a white card base, popping up the middle peony with foam squares.  Added a few clear Fairy Drops to finish

That’s it for my card.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful week.

Valentine's Day Candy Bar Wrapper
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_4004

Hello everyone!  Today I have a Valentine's Day treat for you.  A candy bar wrapper to give to your favorite Valentine.

To create the wrap, I cut a piece of white cardstock a little taller than the candy bar that I'm using, and wide enough to wrap around the candy bar.

IMG_3948

Next, I die cut the Heart Ring Stack 5 times from pink cardstock and glued them to the white cardstock wrapper.

IMG_3947 (1)

I wrapped this around the candy bar and added glue to the bottom edge and side of the paper to hold it in place.

Next, I cut a thin strip of pink cardstock and glued it around the top edge of the wrapper.

I cut banners from red and white cardstock and glued them to the wrapper.  On the thin white strip I stamped "xoxo" in red ink and adhered it to the wrap.

IMG_4006

I used pink cardstock to die cut the Luxe Peony and green cardstock for the leaves.  I used distress inks to add some shading to the flower and leaves.

IMG_3959

I forgot to include the leaves in the picture, I used Rustic Wilderness to add color to them.

Next, I glued the flower together.  I only used 4 pieces from the die cuts because I liked the size of the flower with only 4 petals.

IMG_3960

I used foam tape to adhere the flower to the candy wrapper and then glued the leaves in place behind the flower.

IMG_4005

That's it for today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Heartfelt Garden Greetings by Jean Okimoto

P1022630 2

Plant a row of hearts with the Cattail Border and Heart Ring Stack for a Valentine or friendship card.  Add delicate Pastel Jewels and a glittered heart for sparkle.  Happy weekend everyone,  Jean Okimoto here with a garden-themed slimline in soft shades of pink and gray.

Cut textured gray cardstock with the 2-¼" x 7-¼" Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  It creates a crisp extended bottom edge for the Cattail Border.  Tops of the border will be cut off, but they'll be covered with hearts anyway.  Cut the rectangle with Cattail Border.  Handcut the "ground" at the base - wonky, to resemble a garden surface.

P1022643

Cut Heart Ring Stack from the gray cardstock to outline the hearts - it'll be easy to adhere later if you place two ¼" wide strips of lined doublestick tape horizontally behind the cardstock before diecutting.    Cut Heart Ring Stack again from a pink 6x6 in the Berry Red Collection.  Leave the hearts and little pieces in the die.  Trim the heart on the right from both pink and gray diecuts.

Place the Heart Ring Stack die over the border to check if any of the cattails will still be visible and trim them if necessary.  Trim the second stem on the left so it'll be short enough to attach a jewel later.  Attach just the base of the border to a white slimline card (3-½" x 8-½").   Several of the stems will be adjusted next.

Attach the gray Heart Ring Stack outline - adjust the stems to align with the hearts when necessary.  Cut the 5th heart from a pink 6x6 in the Graceful Garden Glitter Pad.  Attach the hearts and pieces to the card.

Attach the yellow, peach and pink Pastel Fairy Jewels to most of the stems.

Attach two scraps of white cardstock with doublestick tape and cut a double layer of the For You Post Script background.  Pressure-emboss it with the detailed top layer of the greeting to create a debossed area to easily attach the pink layer.  Cut the top layer from the pink cardstock used for the hearts.  Assemble the greeting and attach it to the card.

Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect jewels and card front for mailing.

P1022644

Create this design in red and brown if you need a few more Valentines.  Or red with black stems on a Kraft card.  Heart Ring Stack is another very versatile design that's perfect throughout the year.

Thanks for visiting - enjoy the weekend, see you next week!

For You
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_3900

Good morning everyone!  Today I have a bright, all occasion card for you.

To make the card, I started with a white cardstock panel that I masked off with removable tape.  I used a blending brush to add Distress Ink to the masked off rectangle.

IMG_3832

IMG_3833

I removed the tape from the cardstock and dry embossed the panel using the Ringadings 3D Embossing folder.  To add some glimmer to the inked area of the embossed background, I used a brayer to apply gold ink to it.

Next, I adhered the background to a gold metallic mat and glued it to a white card base.

I die cut the Verdant Leaf from Vellum, and rubbed over it with gold metallic ink.

The words "For You" were die cut from gold metallic cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock.  I glued the gold words to the shadow die cut and adhered it to the center of the card.  Next I tucked in the die cut leaf behind the words.

IMG_3902

To finish the card, I added some gold Fairy Crystals and that's it.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Glitter Card, Hot Foil and Watercolor Cards
by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with two Valentine's Day cards made with dies, watercolor card, glitter paper and a little hot foiling.  Here's a closer look at card number 1:

I took a watercolored panel and the "Blissful Heart" hot foil plate (MBF014) and foiled it directly onto the watercolor panel.  Next I cut the heart out of it to use on my 2nd card.  For this first card I used another section of the watercolored panel for my card background, then added a white glitter card stock heart, cut with the "Double Stitch Loving Heart Cut Out" (94359) and added "Sending Love Daily Script" sentiment die (94661) cut from light purple glitter paper from Delicate Pastel Glitter pad and white card stock.  I arranged the heart and sentiment at an angle on the watercolored panel.  Then added it all to a white card base and added a light purple heart cut with a smaller die from the same heart set.

Okay, on to card number 2.  I used the left over piece of white glitter paper (love those double stitch heart lines) and inserted the foiled heart.  I love the way the heart looks when foiled with gold foil with my Gemini Foil Press machine on watercolor card. Here's a closer look at the heart:

The sentiment was cut from light purple glitter paper and white glitter paper.

Here's another look:

And here's one last look at my 2nd card:

I hope you like my sparkly cards for today.  I think foiling and glitter paper go well together, what do you think?  I also hope I have inspired you to create some sparkly Valentine's Day card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
