Hello and welcome! It's Angie here today with a fun mini slimline card featuring the new Layered Narrow Pines (94706) die.
Here's a closer look at my card:
To create my card I first die cut the tree die layers from white card stock and colored them with alcohol markers while there were still in the card stock panel. This makes it very quick coloring and you don't have to stay in the lines!
Once they were colored I popped them out of the panel and layered them much like you see on the packaging above. For the background I used a dome blender foam on a blender tool on a 3" by 6" card base with both Speckled Egg and Iced Spruce Distress Oxide inks. Once I was happy with the colors, I added a little Brushed Corduroy Distress ink around the top and side edges to darken them and stamped the sentiment from "Sweet Christmas."
Here's a close look at the edges:
After the trees were assembled I went back with the same markers and added highlights and lowlights then lots of white gel pen to look like snow. Next, I used lots of white gel pen around the darker edges for snow there as well.
After adding the trees to the card base with liquid glue, I added lots of twinkling jewels on the trees and a few on the card front. Here's one last look:
I hope you like my mini slimline card for today! I had a lot of fun getting inky and creating it. These trees are perfect for both A2 and slimline cards and would also be perfect for a camping or outdoor scrapbook layout! Thanks for stopping by!
