Hi everyone. I have a card featuring the Butterfly Coterie Collage die using an easy watercolor technique. Perfect to send a note to a friend.
Butterfly:
Watercolor Open Studios Watercolor paper using a green, blue, yellow and silver paint. Use a larger sized paint brush for this technique. Spritz both sides of the paper with water then lightly wipe off the any excess water. Add the paint, starting with the darker colors, by just dabbing on the paper randomly. Make sure it does not create a pattern and just slightly overlapping the colors as you go. The colors with slightly blend together. Using a heat gun, dry the paper. After dry, die cut the Butterfly Coterie Collage die from the center of the paper (save the butterflies for a later project). Die cut the 2nd largest Wrapped Stitched Rectangle dies. Measure the die cut and then trim a rectangle out of black paper from the Rainbow Reflections Mirror paper pad. Adhere the black mirror rectangle at a slight angle behind the watercolor butterfly rectangle.
Sentiment
Hot foil the Posh Just a Note sentiment using green foil onto the same black paper from the Rainbow Reflections Mirror paper pad. Die cut using the matching die from the set. Add double sided foam tape to the back.
Assembly:
Adhere the butterfly and black mirror card rectangles at an angle onto a white A2 size card. Adhere the Just a Note sentiment at the lower right hand corner aligning it with the card. Adhere the Winter Fantasy Gemstones in the lightest and 2nd lightest gems to the center larger butterflies. For the smaller butterflies add the clear gems from the Pastel Fairy Jewels set to the center.
