Greetings friends. Today I wanted to share a background I made using some of the white woodgrain paper by Memory Box. The paper has a subtle print to it and holds inks and sprays really well. I sprayed this piece with a lot of Dylusions sprays and water. The woodgrain paper hardly warped at all. Here is a close up so that you can see the woodgrain a bit better:
I cut out my sprayed woodgrain paper using a rectangle die. I cut the die out a second time so that I would have a white frame that would fit the colored background.
To finish the card, I added some leaves I die cut and then embossed. The butterflies were an excellent excuse to use up some paper scraps I had. I don't know about you, but sometimes when I create my own backgrounds with inks and stencils, some of them don't turn out very good. I always save those scraps for diecutting. After all, when you cut the papers into smaller pieces, you tend to not see the imperfections.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
